Had your website made it clear that you would be charged a full month's rent for a box you didn't use but kept a week we would have done things differently. For that alone we will not use you again. When we returned unused supplies it was a giant hassle and when we complained about the boxes and were told someone would call me no one did. Basically, people were nice but not helpful enough. I even called asking questions about your service to make sure I understand it and confirmed I wouldn't be charged for what we didn't use. So many missed opportunities to provide excellent service. This wasn't a huge issue but I wish damages had been clarified on the truck. I noticed that the trucks right side had scratches and there were stickers over it. Clearly that wasn't an issue in the long run but I worried those would be charged against me even though I had nothing to do with them. This doesn't change my opinion though. The truck was easy to drive and moving was much cheaper than any other option presented.KYLE B.

The pickup location was changed from what I had requested. The alternate location wasn't out of the way and not far from the original location, so no big deal. The trailer was upgraded one size. No one knew why, but it worked out nicely having the larger trailer. Pickup of the trailer took a bit longer than expected.Daniel W.

I'm sure my issue is not normal but when I arrived and the trailer was hooked up, the lights did not work. We connected to another trailer and they worked fine. I had to settle for an open trailer verses the enclosed trailer I preferred. There was no out of town trailers available to use. I then ended up having to pull and fight with the trailer I feel I was pushed into using. The drive that took over 8 hours to drive should have only taken 6, the extra time was spent repairing the tarp over and over. This prompted me to decide that purchasing my own trailer is a better ideaSTEVEN M.
find a way to better communicate how much fuel I need to re-add to the vehicle to avoid a fee - your agents can tell down to a 10th of a gallon when I check back in but I have to read the tiny meter on the dashboard and guess if its right.BENJAMIN S.

Tried to check in after hours using the /Share app. I couldn't set my phone to allow UHaul to see my location. Chatted with a rep but her advice did not help and then I lost the connection. Then made a phone call, waited what seemed to be nearly 30 minutes for someone to answer. That tech provided the same advice as on the chat so was no help in that respect. However, she did annotate my account with notes that the trailer had been returned and told me to expect an e-mail confirmation a few hours after opening the next morning. About 3 PM the next afternoon I still not received that notice, so I called again. This again added notes and again promised a response within a few hours. Finally received the notice about 2:00 AM the following morning.ROBERT V.

When i picked up the van there was nearly 300 more miles on the vehicle than the contract I had to sign before getting in it. I told the employee who gave it to me who then told me to report it on the link I received. The link wouldn't open so i took a time stamped picture of the mileage and fuel level. I returned the vehicle 5 minutes late as I was refueling before dropping it off. Two days later I receive a bill for $370 stating that I drove the 300 miles that were on it before I received the vehicle and a 3 day late fee.ALLAN I.

I was really surprised with the turn around time with the text messages and email messages that Uhaul sent back to me regarding the truck I wanted to rent. The Sioux Falls location falls right in line with the great service I've received at other locations. They're hard to get on the phone, but don't let that worry you -- you'll get top-notch service once you get there. I have used UHAUL to make 3 complete moves in 2020 - including the use of trucks, a trailer hitch, a van, moving equipment, moving help, packing supplies, and a storage room. I wouldn't go anywhere else. They are reliable, affordable, and top quality. I highly recommend!JESSICA LYNN C.
I was scheduled at 3 pm for a pick up truck. I arrived and the staff could not find the pick up truck in the parking lot. After a while, they realized that a staff had taken the truck because he didn't realize someone had rented it out at 3 pm. This caused a delay in my moving and the truck they sent me with had not been washed on the outside.Danielle B.
The Location IS convenient. But No Customer Parking On The Property Parked On The Street. The Pickup I Used Was excellent But Upon inspection Of The Exterior It Had Some Damage To The Left Rear Bumper And Body Damage On The Box. Everything Was Clearly Inspected And Marked Before I Used The Vehicle. I Have To Say They Do A excellent and thorough job of Inspections on the vehicle Once It's returned. No one ever told me that if i check out on-line, I could check in on-line. However, the check-in location was filled with trailers and trucks. Very hard to even know where to park. There was no one in the store to help and i had to wander around until i found someone. They were gruff and very irritated and mumbling under his breath...Finally he yelled to me to leave the keys in the truck and leave. I was uncomfortable with this; but didn't know what else to do but leave. I may use u-haul again at some point, but it will be my last choice of truck rental. I then tried calling the U-Haul 800 line. After waiting 20 minutes listening to the same awful message, I hung up. I tried again pushing different numbers hoping to find someone to talk to. Very unhappy with the service and I would expect better from a nationally know company.Dennis H.

I feel like U-Haul, or at least this location can be slow at times and would benefit from a revised procedure that would expedite the truck/trailer pickup and drop off process. It's almost like there are more customers than the number of workers can take care of, which would be solved with more employees or a more efficient set of procedures.RYLAN L.
When we went to loan the trailer the next morning & opened the doors, it had a terrible smell. At that point, it was too late to return as we had deadlines in Rapid City. The smell attached to our belongings and made for a terrible experience. This was a 1 way rental and we dropped the trailer off in Rapid City, SD. I asked, Paul, that assistant manager at the RC store to open the trailer & he couldn't believe how bad it was. He said he thought someone hauled rotten garbage in it. Due to the one day use, the smell & the impact to our belongings from the smell, I have asked for a rental adjustment. The RC assistant manager was very helpful and could believe how bad the smell was either and apologized for the poor experience even though they had nothing to do with it. Equipment was very clean, but the back door was frozen shut. Would have been nice if you had checked that and ensured it would open right away. More signs for the return process would be great. I saw a key drop box labeled for after-hours, but I returned during open hours, so I went inside and waited in a long line. When it was finally my turn, all I did was hand my keys to a worker, who told me I was good to go. A drop box and a sign that I could use that even during open hours would have saved me from waiting in line.Carolyn J.

My initial phone conversations were very helpful but when I got confirmations on everyting the size of my unit was wrong. I called 2X and when I got there it was still not correct.
