Thinking that an online experience would be quicker was wrong...after jumping through all the hoops of reserving, pages of questions to rent were done, waiting until I was there to pick up the truck, it said not enough information was present, and to call a #. On a Sunday no less. The actual store was open to complete the rental thank goodness! Return was a plethora of questions, pictures of everything, back, front, gauges etc are necessary to return after a busy day of moving. DO IT IN PERSON. RENTAL & RETURN. Avoid a hassle.christine W.

i put gas in to match what i had picked up the uhaul at. i was in the process of doing a self return and the attendant told me i didn't i have to do that and he would return the vehicle and i would get the receipt in email. i got the recipet and was charged 32 dollars in gas ontop off already putting gas in. i am not happy and will be sharing this experience to anyone that will listen.Stacy V.

I brought the truck back June 12 after 6 pm It was 17 hours early. The guy said he was waiting for this truck? How when it was due another day Wednesday June 13 at 12 noon? 1st problem. He checked it and said that the gas was off and I asked for the nearby gas station, he told me. I then asked how much it would cost for the gas and he said $20 so we said ok not too bad. I then asked it since I brought the truck in so early 17 hours if I could get a discount for the gas? He open up his mouth and said that we give people extra time so that they don't hurry too much as a man was hurrying around town and ran over his daughter, 2nd problem I had to immediately walk away and as I turned away I said good story in a sarcastic way. 3rd problem. What was that? How do you tell a customer that? I wanted to cry and I was upset too because the man had killed his daughter. That was so upsetting! Who ever told him that was something good to tell someone. I work with children in schools, that is heartbreaking to heart about a child, I would not want to hear that about any child let alone that it was done by their own father who did it because he was careless? I can't even image how he felt and how he could live with himself! That was horrific. 4th problem this leads me not to want to rent a Uhaul truck as it kills children amd which truck was it that killed a child? That was not acceptable. If he had just said that it is company policy and it cannot change I would have walked away without this horrific tail stuck in my head and even now I can't sleep because of it. 5th problem if the truck still had 17 hours left on it why am I being charged mileage of any sort? Does he realize that I already paid for the truck from location A-B and it was not by mileage? Plus I was in Mount Pocnos and driving the truck to Scranton? Plus I had a whole 17 hours left? Why was I charged for mileage?Shay N.
I am so grateful for the generous and caring staff! We were stranded due to an issue with my vehicle I was using to tow a trailer. They helped me figure out the logistics of getting to my destination; they went and picked up the trailer at the location it died at; helped me to return both rentals as my phone was not allowing me to use the return app. They were amazing! I didn't have an good experience I was told by one person that I didn't need to do a walk around and was contacted the next day about damage. I didn't even know if the damage was there before and I know I didn't hit or scrape anything but none the less I can't prove if it was there and I didn't take before and after so I'm out 150 deductible and they even charge you tax on that I've never paid tax on a deductible but they do be carefulToineise M.

The people in this place are horrible and have no Customer service. I was told the the big door close at 5 so to bring my fridge ,dryer, couch's and washer before the door close .Arrived there 4:40.took every thing out my uhaul just had fridge and washer left .. It's 4:54 a employe come and say the door closes at 5 . i replied yes i know it 4:54 . Employee says well i'm closing it now . mean while i got my fridge and washer still in the truck.. Tells me to hurry up im closing these door now . instead say hey you need a hand or hey boss you got 5 min left .. as i'm being the washer in he tries to close the door . Point of this comment is learn how to speak to propel because i could of been having the worst day of my life and reacted different.. then the employee says i'm mad because he has to get a new fridge .. Facility was never locked when I went in - never needed to use the card to swipe in. The bathroom in the building was not usable and looked not to have been cleaned in quite awhile. The storage unit itself had falling debris from the ceiling inside of it (insulation) and bugs. The only complaint I have is that we were in an emergency situation and only needed a unit for 5 days. We ended up only keeping it for 4. Jim/Jake/and one other were very friendly. Rented a particular size unit months in advance however after flying in from out of state to get the storage unit rental they apparently only had one unit (smaller size) available (not sure of why Uhaul accepts reservations if units cannot be available). Jim was very understanding and helpful to ensure my fee was not greater than my reserved unit/fee but I did need to return when he was working to inquire about the adjustment because apparently the unit I was placed in was on the lower level thus more expensive despite being a smaller unit. I've seen chats/reviews with uhaul having similar situations where unit reserved was not available upon clients arrival (bad business model if I'm being honest) Second issue was corporate did not have my unit area programmed thus for my 3 day window to move my students dorm stuff into storage I was getting access denied when swiping in after hours and to no fault of their own the local staff could not fix as it needed to be programmed by headquarters in Arizona (ironically where I live) Overall I made due and had to work around my students finals week daytime schedule to make multiple trips to uhaul vs being able to do it through after hours access (because of above access denied). Apparently this was the only unit with this problem in the building Again staff was great, unit was clean (did have a rat trap in it but I assume that's in all lower levels despite being indoors and in temperature controlled areas)? But the reservation business model/lack of contingency options for my not so unique situation I would have expected more from uhaul and honestly for the accommodations I (as the client) had to make just to make my situation work because of a uhaul issue. I appreciate the opportunity to voice my experience and hope it may have a positive impact for change for the next uhaul client that shows up to the desk in the same or similar situation. I have and have had several storage experiences in several states. This facility is the best in terms of cleanliness, affordability, and efficiency. A major plus for an older gentleman like me is the convenient location of a restroom in the storage areas. This storage was good except my stuff got a bit of mold as if water got on it possibly from upstairs when they mopped the floors. Light filtered through one section and that's where I found the moldy substance. I left a message but never got an answer. I couldn't get there in person to talk to a live person about it. We now have a bigger one more money with what we found as ponds in front of it filled with water after rain. We can't get out without one of us stepping into part of it. How do we load, unload without getting wet? Then there's the people who take over the isle with their dirt bikes, truck and little girls walking and playing around the dirt without shoes in their pajamas.
