Moving in was a nightmare. The staff informed my older children that they we "high as f***" when they were assisting them because of a lock that had broke. I needed the large unit, and this was the last one. I was told because of the lock they were going to need to move me to a smaller unit. After I called them up they figured out how to get the lock off and I was able to keep the unit. Not after they had charged me for the smaller unit. Now I have two charged on my account for 2 units. I am being told that it will fall off. I wait the three days and it cleared. I have to go in once again to clear this up. Here comes the next month and I am supposedly set up on auto pay. This is in fact not the case. Because when they were playing hop scotch with my unit they also cancelled this. I go in and I am assured it is now set up again and the 45 dollars on charges they said they will waive. Well here comes the next month and guess what is not set up. Oh yes my auto pay. I just moved all of my things out of the storage because I am being inconvenienced in having to go there every time there needs to be a bill paid or I need to resolve the issue of incompetent staff.Christine S. | Overall Experience

The online check out and check in process is long and clunky, and didn't always work with phone settings. The process was so annoying that next time I would just go inside instead. The process should also warn that you may need to bring alternate documents for verification - I did not bring my passport or lease agreement to the uhaul location and it was a holiday so I could not provide my employer contact information, which left me scrambling to find personal contacts to use as references. These needed items should have been explained in advance, as like a â€œknow before you goâ€.Kathleen M.

The appliance dolly I rented was old and did not work well. Also, when you reserve a truck they should put the dolly in it. I had to walk it out to the truck and load it myself (and it was heavy).Alison B.

Keep your trucks maintained, have all repairs done inside and outside your vehicles. Our uhaul made drive shaft noise, wouldn't shift into 4th gear, dash compartment was broke, body was banged up pretty good! Piece of JUNK! $100 + dollars later...Roger T.

Everything went very smooth with my rental pickup & drop off. The instructions were clear for the mobile pickup/drop off and I had no problems. There were no unexpected or hidden fees in the end - I paid exactly what I was told I would. And the gentleman working there in the evening, when dropping the van off, was extremely pleasant and friendly and made sure I was all set and didn't need any help. Van ran great and was very clean; only ~8k miles on it. Overall, it was an even better experience than I had expected. Thank you, U-Haul!Caitlin R.
