I said no on Did U-Haul recommend the correct # of containers Because I read 3 pods for a three bedroom house. There wasn't enough clarity even if it said 3 pods for 3 rooms. I had to order 1 more container late. Also there needs to be a final receipt of the total charges of the whole package or shipment. It's to confusing with all those Emails and what looks like repetitive charges plus when I ordered 3 containers and then that 1 more late container that one showed a high charge as if it was being shipped by itself when it was supposed to be way less than 1/2 the price when shipped together like it was. Threw this move I'm going to have a real problem finding the total actual charges to my card because of this move we had. Plus at the very end when the containers we're supposed to be shipped to our house in Ronan Mt they first told us they haven't got to the Warehouse in Missoula, then we found out from the driver that they were already there for over a week. They finally arrived a day late. All this with NO offer of a refund of any kind. Can you please tell me my total charges for my move 6,100 is what I came up with what do YOUKevin H.

The crew in San Clemente was helpful. They had to change my truck out as the first one didn't have functioning windshield wipers (no fluid) - glad I checked before I left. The second truck was fine except for one major issue. We were driving from Dana Point, CA to Las Vegas. About an hour into the drive the AC went out and was blowing hot air for the remainder of the drive.MATTHEW C.

Please work on your online reservation and check in system. Although I am a long time customer and uploaded all my info with your online check-in, I still had to wait in a long line with the walk-in customers which takes a very long time. I rent trailers and this should be simple. I â€œspeed things upâ€ by checking in online, but to have to wait for almost an hour while walk-ins decide on what they need is very frustrating. Maybe give priority in line for people that check in online, upload their ID and contracts early since all they have to do is pay. If not, then what's the point?Alexander J.

I had a plethora of issues with this rental which is unexpected when being gouged the way I was (4x the price compared to LAS to SC less than 6 months ago). The reservation was moved to a uhaul an hour away and was only aware from the call the day before to let me know I could pick the truck up early. Thank god they called or my moving day would have been even more hectic due to uhaul. Instead I was able to get the truck 2.5 hours later than booked (thank you to the helpful people at the San Clemente location) which meant my day was extremely long. Then I had to call customer service (which was about 45 mins of a wait) to switch the return location back to where I had booked (they later called me and made me go somewhere else). I also had the brakes light blinking at me constantly and the ramp was jammed so I couldn't use it on load in. Was able to yank on it to get it out during unload. I had to go to this location because the Rancho Santa Margarita location did not have the trailer that I had a confirmed reservation for. This was very frustrating and delayed my move by 3 hours, resulting in me unloading in the dark at my destination in a poorly light area. If you are renting trailers and turning them around in 90 minutes, you should call the first renter to confirm they are returning on time. It's simple customer service. As the RSM location did not do this, I had to wait around there for 45 minutes past my rental time while the called the person who had the trailer and called trying to find me another one at another location. The prior renter kept it for another day which means I had to drive all the way to San Clemente (1 hour and 20 minutes return) both to pickup, and return the trailer. It would have been much easier, if your representative called the prior renter, confirmed they weren't returning it, and then called me with alternate arrangements. This would not have delayed me three hours.marc B.

Ubox was 3 days late which they did credit me back for. Issue is that when they went to credit me they deducted the amount instead, & took 4 days to get the issue fixed as I had to call them back for updates.Zechariah B.

I still have not received my ubox and it has been a week after the guaranteed delivery date. I have called multiple times throughout the past week and finally went into the store it was supposed to be shipped to. After 10 minutes waiting at the counter I was finally assisted (nobody else in store) only to be told they did not have my ubox and it looked like it might be at a different location or still in shipping. I just want my stuff please. This has been an awful experience and very poor customer service (I have been unable to contact anyone unless I wait on the phone for 30 minutes where I can finally get through.)RYAN K.
So many furniture pads, they became a hinderance after 2 container, But Jen who picked up and delivered to our new address was amazing and we are thankful she took good care of us. In fact every one we dealt with at the San Clemente and Carmel Mountain facilities went above and beyond what we were expecting. The box was lost for 13 days past the guaranteed delivery day. The shipper you kept telling me had it was NOT the shipper who picked it in San Diego. When it finally got to me it was obvious the box had been dropped. When we opened the door contents were all over the place. Legs on my vanity were splintered. A marble top on my sideboard was cracked. How high do you have to drop the box in order to crack a piece of marble that I had run duct tape around in two direction to protect it? I am afraid of what I will find in the boxes I unpack today. Your customer service is the worst. I spent no less than 3 hours on the phone every day it was late. Not one call was answered in less than 43 minutes!! While your website said the box was still in San Diego your customer service Dept kept telling me it had been picked up on 4/15. They then told me repeatedly â€œ it's out of our hands. There is nothing we can do, it's out of our handsâ€. I finally got the name and phone number of the â€œshipperâ€. After leaving 5 messages they did call me back and told me the name of the so call driver was a former salesman!! They also told me that they had NEVER even picked it it!! A woman named Lindsey spent two days tracking down my box and informed me the UPS had picked it up and it was sitting on some warehouse!!! When I told your Customer service this they DENIED it!! She finally made arrangements for a local transport company to go get it and deliver it to Pagosa Springs. UBox is the worst experience I have ever had!!Sherry Y.

Although the facility was well lit, secure, and the hours are great, the location of where I had my unit was near the lockers by the entrance. I'm not sure who is using the lockers, but every time I went in there, it smelled like pot. And most times I visited (which was every few days for a month) the leftovers of someone's belongings who had either been evicted or had dumped their stuff was left by the carts by the entrance. Also, in the entrance, there are leftover building supplies - not sure if they belong to the building or someone else, but it doesn't seem that it should be there. For the price I was paying for a small unit, I would have figured the experience would be better. I switched my storage to All American in Capistrano and it's MUCH cleaner, more pleasant, more professional, and over $50 less expensive.Carolyn K. | Overall Experience

The new metal added around the interior hallways no longer allow you to swing open the door to the unit all the way. This was very frustrating when moving out. We had to move a few items out of the unit into the hallway, then close the units door, in order to carry the stuff out the front rollup door. I was happy with my uhaul experience. I do recommend to make it clear to your customers who are moving and purchasing a storage unit to explain you have to return the uhaul keys by 10am or whatever time you have set up. I showed up at 10 and unloaded my things into my unit and it took about an hour and then I turned in the uhaul keys and was told I was being charged and the guy didn't know why but basically said I have to pay it and took it from my card on file. Upon reviewing the receipt I was charged another day! I was on the property the whole time and no one warned me or said anything. I have called asking for a refund.
