The woman working at the counter in Saddle Brook were great. The guy in the lot was helpful. I had an issue before I got the truck and the customer service was also helpful. On return of the truck I feel I was overcharged. I brought the truck back with the right amount of gas and I was charged for gas anyway. These are the things that ruin your whole experience.Matthew R.

there was only 1 person working the desk. she hooked the car tow to the truck and then told us that we had to hook the car by ourselves, we tried to do this for one hour and could not. we then went to tell her we did not know how to correctly get the car hook up. she came out and could not get the wheel harness to move she then went to get help for us. i will never go back there again. she was working alone and customers were walking out because of the long wait. .this delayed our tripbenjamin J.

I reserved the trailer on line for 24 hours. I was called by Claudio from saddle brook telling me I couldn't have it. and he said he was unable to help me any further. I was shocked , that you just would leave me hanging. to my surprise, I received a call. saying I could have the trailer the following morning 7am. at about that time I received a call from Claudio again stating I could not have the trailer. At that time I was furious, imagine being told as your enroute you cant have it? When I said I didn't need it for the full 24 hours, he let me have it. I take it for the allowable time, so I'm not rushed to return it for unforeseeable delays.ANGELO G.

I rented a truck from saddle brook NJ and that was the worst experience I had in my life , I rented a truck in September 28 for 3 days and I ended up needing the truck more than 3 days and that's when the issue started , I had every day 100 phone calls to return the truck to the location and I told the lady that works there I need the truck more than 3 days because my closing got delayed and all of my furniture is inside the truck she kept calling every single day , so she called on October 8 screaming (you can listen to the recording) if I don't return the truck by 10 o'clock truck will be towed and hung up on me so I called her back to ask her what was her name and she said it's not important and hung up the phone again on me , so by 10 o'clock in the morning I see a towing truck coming to my property and towed the truck, like what kind of an employees you guys hire , it's a shame a large company like Uhaul hires people to treat their customers so poorly , you guys will be reported to the BBB negative reviews all over social media and you guys probably don't care about it .AMER M.

The online reservation told me to pick the truck up at the Passaic location. When I got there they told me they didn't have the truck because they don't do One Way rentals. I then had to go to Saddle Brook to get the same type of truck that was at the Passaic location. It took almost 45 minutes to have the truck's information transferred to this location and to finally get the keys.JOHN A.

The store was so organized and clean. Tiffani, the manager and the others at the front desk had great customer service skills. The hidden hitch installation looks great! Second time I have been here to get a hitch installation (5 year ago). Service is still excellent!Sandra D.

Uhaul associate at the front desk had auto transports on the lot but was unable to release it in the system. She had to call a manager to authorize the release of a reservation I had made. I asked the Uhaul associate at the front desk if there would be a charge for the Uhaul guy outside to hookup the auto transport to the Uhaul moving van and she said no. Well the Uhaul guy outside told us he charges clients anywhere between $25-$50 to connect the Uhaul auto transport to a Uhaul moving van. He charged me $35 cash! I did not have the time to dispute this additional charge or to go into inside and wait an additional 30 mins to a manager to help with this scam, which is what it seemed like to me.ELENA R.

I forgot my EZ Pass tag in the window. The associate checked the van and found it saving me an immense amount of trouble dealing with EZ Pass if the tag needed to be replaced. This is the second rental I have used this location and both times the staff was pleasant and professional.STEVEN D.

I rented a 10 foot truck 2 days before the date I needed it. The location called to say they don't have a truck to give me and offered me a van. I had to make numerous trips to get my my two bedroom moved with a 2 year old and 6 year old. Very unprofessional. I will Never use UHAUL againKYLE M.
The inside of the van was clean, but seemed to have an oily residue allover. I didn't realize it until I stepped down onto the bumper and my foot immediately slipped and I went straight down. I caught myself with my hand which hurt for a while after and is now bruised. Thankfully my injury wasnt more serious, but the slip and fall was very dangerous. My recommendation is not to use oily cleaners, such as Armor All on the floor where people step.Sonia R.

The desk person always says "your trucks not compatible" and then tries to change my trucks year and model to work and gets mad when I tell him I'm not ok with this.. So I have to go online while waiting in the store, fill out my proper details then give him the reservation #. It's frustrating and annoying to say the least. The tow dolly I was issued had frayed straps so they were rough to slide into the slots. The fenders were bent and tires rubbed through (you can verify through their pictures) however the lot attendee is amazing and always positive.RAMON C.

I love love love the staff at this location and will continue to support as long as they are there. They are extremely well managed and the facility is extremely well Run. When I checked out the van, the manager was rude. Since I have an out of state license, he said I need 3 contact #s. I had given them my cell and my wife's cell. He wouldn't accept either my home landline or my local office # as the third #. I took a moment to consider who's # I could give as the 3rd #. Customer service rep was very irritated that I showed up early for my trailer pick up. Yes, I was an hour early, my schedule changed a bit and you had 3 trailers sitting in your front lot!!! You're in the moving business, things change, timing isn't always perfect. Learn how to handle it better. The online check in took almost 30 minutes to verify my information and when I eventually asked what was wrong I was told I needed a secondary contact to call which I had already put in. I think the policy you have regarding gas refund is totally unfair. I put gas in the truck before I took my trip and came back with more than the amount I left with and I wasn't able to get none of that money back. I have used Uhaul a couple of times now, initially was frustrated about the way you do scheduling as it is not well explained (in terms of timelines and expectations and number of re-schedules). Having experienced the "regional" scheduling a couple of times now has helped my understanding, plus they were super helpful in locking in a good option- I now have an understanding and the confidence that the short term scheduling works.WAYNELEE D.

Evrerything was perfect. People were nice and professional. Van was great. Only issue I have is the fuel. The gauge was just on full. I traveled no more than 15 miles. When I filled it it took over 5 gallons of gas before I stopped it. Almost 20 dollars. Now the gauge went way past full. This is probably my inexperience with renting but have to wonder.Paul L.

Todo estuvo perfecto en el recibo del vehículo en Minnesota y el personal súper atentos. La devolución del track y tower no fue para nada agradable. Como clienta mujer esperaba mayor amabilidad en la entrega y no que tenía que saber como desengranar el camión del remolque que venía con mi carro. Yo venía de conducir 20 horas para encontrarme con semejante cuento. Los que recibieron el vehículo dijeron que eso no les correspondía hacerlo y que yo debía pagar un fee si quería que ellos lo hicieran. Yo respondí que no tenía conocimiento de ello pues en mi contrato no decía nada de esas tarifas extra pero que si estaba establecido en el sistema yo lo pagaba y finalmente no lo cargaron. Creo que solo tiraron el aventón. Ese detalle genera desconfianza. No me pareció honesto de esos dos empleados en Saddle Brook.Diana D. | First Impressions
