At time of renting truck, confirm if stage is needed
ARQUILLA F | First ImpressionsI have used Uhaul many times over the years. This was the worst experience ever. Storage unit #30 was bug infested and leaked rusty water on my mattresses every time it rained. Someone tampered with my lock or I would have been out of there a month earlier. I saw more of the Police than did the Uhaul manager. I recommend people stay away from that Uhaul... especially the storage which ought to be condemned.
Mark J | Overall ExperienceI found the storage facility very convenient, well kept, and secure I was having trouble raising and closing the roll up door. I made contact with a worker Deanna on the premise and advised her of the problem. Deanna with pleasant and friendly manner fixed the door making it easier to open and close the roll up door with much thanks. Every encounter with Deanna and other employees were always pleasant and asking if everything was okay. I will highly recommend this UHaul facility
cole K | Overall ExperienceThis was the worst experience ever, they are not open during the online post time, then I had to make several phone calls and wait almost an hour in 100 plus texas heat waiting for them to unlock the unit. The facility has the worst entry I have ever experienced the turn into the facility is so tight no wonder the building is all beat up from notive trying to make those sharp turns. My movers ended up leaving again because of all the delays and I have to tackle the last part of my move today with the crew after I get off work all because I di not access on Sunday like I should have.

Lon H | Overall ExperienceIt was a great experience. The staff is helpful but some of them are not friendly. They just do their job but don't seem happy to help it seem more as an obligation. This will not determine using services again but just as a comment. The staff I am talking to are the once I met in person, when I called most of the time they have a great and friendly attitude.

He was worried about not having his breakfast on time and was flustered about it and did not explain things to me. It was hard to find the truck in the parking lot. I feel I could not asking any question because he was bothered to help me. He was just not customer service oriented. I don't know his name. I understand you are a busy store but every customer deserves good service.

I'm a female and I had no help no assistance I bought a dolly for the truck and I had to try to load the dolly myself no assistance from any of the men there one of the staff was being sarcastic when I asked him. How do I locate the truck, he said look at the top of the numbers instead of asking me, what are the numbers and helping me locate the truck? It was just a very bad experience. I was very disappointed.

Most of the units looked like they had either already been broken into or about to be because the doors were all barely locked and almost falling off the hinges.
Breyan P | Overall ExperienceCalled and walked in to facility to inform someone that the light in front of my unit was out. I could not see into my unit as it was so dark without the light available. It was out for 3 weeks. I moved out so it could still not be replaced. I waited in line for over 10 minutes , without it moving, to let someone know I was moving out. I called repeatedly to have no one answer or be hung up on. I did receive a call from Marilyn about making a payment at which I informed her that I had moved out the previous rainy Sunday. She took care of my billing for which I was thankful. I would and will rent from this facility again, but only if there is a downstairs space available. Upstairs across the street is a bit scary for me. I expected Freddie Kruger to walk down the aisle as there was no one anywhere near and the narrow aisles left no room to flee. I don't know if there are cameras in these facilities, but there should be. Someone could get hurt moving their possessions, or be attacked or threatened and would anyone at the office be any wiser?

Kathryn J | First ImpressionsI have noticed that numerous UHaul staff were unaware of the Uhaul specials, in particularly the one month free warehouse with purchase of minimum one-way truck rental. This resulted in two refunds due to me of a total of over $200. I have no paper receipt or even an email from Uhaul regarding these transactions. The computer &.phone system have been down at the Fort Worth Altamesa location due to no fault of the owner, Richard who is the nicest, smartest, fairest & kindest Uhaul representative with whom I have ever dealt, actually the best representative & owner of any moving truck tental & storage business that I have ever dealt with in my life. He is a super hero, IMHO! 7 stars out of 5 stars!珞
MARGARET R | First ImpressionsI have items missing that I’m absolutely certain I stored and also the management here is terrible and unprofessional and also rude I told them days before that I was moving and when I was making my payment instead they took it amongst themselves to flag my storage for non payment when I paid the same day I was moving out it was also brought to my attention by customer service that they should’ve never put a non payment sticker on my storage due to it only being 7 days late on the payment so SARAH tried to get smart with me when I came in the office talking about damage to a lock she never came to remove because she was so called in AA or what have you avoiding uhaul moving forward

Just an observation not a complaint it could use more cameras due to the homeless people walking around. Especially for the women customers who come in and out alone to feel safer. I am a man so it didn't bother me much. My overall experience was Great glad there was an affordable place for my things when I needed it.

So took another 30 minutes to reserve a bigger unit, once that was done took additional 20 minutes for someone to cut the lock off so i can move my things in. All in all it took me about 1 hour and 30 minutes to check in and change a unit but only took me 15 minutes to move in a 3 bedroom house into the unit.

Had to wait 20min in line for her to tell me that my lock was in the unit and the red lock was off. After going back to the unit I was unable to get access to the gate and was told I needed to go get a card because it was a card only facility. Had to drive back across the street again and wait in a line another 20min to be told they were wrong and then she called to get the red lock removed and finally gave me a card and lock. Granted she was all by her self with a huge line and should have had backup but her attitude was short, rude and absolutely didn't care. The main facility looks great but the section across the street they put me in was a different story. Facility looks run down and the door broke when they opened it for me. Was told it just gets caught sometimes and he showed me how to fix it when it happens…lol. Shouldn't ever happen. Also the rubber seal on the door was broken. Unit next to me had tons of chemical barrels out of his unit that he was clearly working out of. Needless to say I ended up booking another unit elsewhere and will be cancelling my unit immediately.
Peter M | Online Move InSarah was a horrible representative; maybe because she had to do all the work as she had a trainee that didn't know about anything he attempted. She had a nice nasty attitude that read take it or leave it, but this is all that you are getting. I even called and spoke with the regional office, who ended hanging up on me after being on the phone for over 20 minutes. I ended up begging Sarah for the solution I suggested because the lack of time remaining. I Was there 2 hrs, poor customer service, no equipment (carts), no lighting, broken doors swinging open, homeless people living in building, to say the least! A very, very, very, horrible, not to mention frightening experience when I saw the homeless man come out and offering his assistance!!!!

When I went to unload my truck no one was there so I had to complete my order vie online move in which I did over and over uploading my pic and I'd front and back ect but didn't work . I Frustrated sitting at the gate , not being able to get in with nobody there I had to drive back home. I drove back and was there right when they opened. Still not there. I tried to pay for it again but nope, not working. So I went to the U-Haul next store and they suggested I go to another U-Haul location down the road to get a storage there. I drive there. Theyhave only large units. Not what I needed and not the free month. The U-Haul employee there hooks me up with another storage(U-Haul)I paid for it and drove there. It's across the street from where I just came. . They gave me an upstairs unit down a long , long hallway around a tight corner to a unit with a door the sizr of my bathroom. And better yet the freight elevator did not function. Not humanly possible . I ring the buzzer at the gate for help . Nobody answers me. I get on the phone and your U-Haul employee trys to get me something else. She finds a unit 30 miles away! You are kidding right? I have to pay 1.06 a mile and NO . So I go across the street They refund me the money I paid. Great....but I still have a truck full to unload by 4:00. It is now 12 pm . and no storage unit. I had to get a unit at public storage. And returned the truck. I did not finish my move . I have a ton of stuff left in my apartment .24 extra miles I had to pay for and waiting on a refund..This was a horrible experience. Your employees were fine. It was everything combined. Some uhauls not open on New Years Day really screwed me So sorry to the people I might of yelled at....Happy New Year

Micheal Macdonald was the first face I saw after driving around and having a very bad experience with your u-haul storage on I35 & Berry street. Horrible place I paid for my storage unit as I was beginning to unload they told me it was a mistake and I had to find another storage but she couldn't tell me where. After driving eight hours I didn't want to hear that. But that was when I meet this angel Micheal Macdonald I would never forget the way he made me feel important and that he had a pleasant and beautiful smile on his face the whole time. Thank you Micheal from the bottom of my heart.

I purchased a storage unit around 11am/12 noon proceeded to bring my items around 1:30p and couldn't not get into the property . The access card along with gate code given to me did not work therefore I didn't not have access. Your mgr by the name of Eli told me there was nothin else he could do besides wait for it to be fixed and he didn't know when then could me. I called the local office numbers spoke to a lady by the name of Ms.Marilyn she proceeded to tell me she would have someone from the store come let me into your facilities but I would have to call each time I was ready to leave out as well as come back in that day to continue my drop offs into the storage unit. I initially rented an utility trailer to conduct my moving but the rental was to be returned by 3pm. Arriving at 2pm for my first drop off it took approx an hour just to gain acres into the gates and to get let back out. Eli did advise I could keep the trailer unit until close of business however access into the facility was out of his control. I expressed my concern and wanted to understand why was something sold to me that I could not have access to his response was nothing he could do about it and to resolve my issue he would offer a refund of the storage unit. He proceeded to hand me a refund receipt but would not sign the document under store representative section that asked / required a signature
keniah g | Overall ExperienceIf the entry access to my storage unit would've worked better my experience would have been better. It was frustrating getting a a new card 3 times, getting a clicker device once THAT NEVER WORKED and I was charged for it. I also felt the monthly fee was too high.

Whoever worked the morning of 9/25 around 9:00-9:30 am and provided the details for my truck needs to take customer service courses. He had a very bad attitude that morning. I told him I had a truck and storage to get and he huffed and puffed because he had to do 2 separate transactions, slammed papers down, and really acted like he didn't want to be there. Even an older lady that I had a quick question for had a bad attitude, like she didn't even want to help after I stood there for 3-4 mins awkwardly without here even greeting me as I came in (no other customers were in the store at this time). The ONLY person that turned the situation around for me was Richard. He had a great attitude, showed me my storage unit, made sure I was taken care of so things ended on a great note because of him. The other employees definitely need to learn from him because they are not in the right business. They probably need to be in corrections somewhere where it's suitable for them to have bad attitudes for no reason.
