Truck was not clean. You could tell that the last person who used it was messy. When the truck was given to me the gas gauge was not on full like the contract said it was. I failed to take a picture of it and the employee there said “you might want to go fuel it up or else I'll be charging you $70.” When I tried to explain to him that I returned it with the same amount of gas as when I left he argued with me telling me “nope, left with a full tank.” The same guy who checked the truck in was the same guy to prepared the equipment for me. He should have known the amount of gas he put into it. His customer service was very poor, I paid full price for everything, I should be getting respectful customer service. When I went to go check the truck in he came out eating food and drinking as if he had just came back from lunch or was munching on a snack, he was completely unprofessional and messy. When I was going to refuel the truck he said “I'll make it easier for you” and took the trailer off the truck and said “there now you have to go refuel it” as if I owed him something. His actions and the way he handled a paying customer was very unprofessional. If that is the what U-Haul hires and puts out there for the customers to deal with, then I most definitely will not be renting any kind of equipment from U-Haul again.

After going to the Granbury location for our RESERVED truck, we were told the people hadn't brought it back yet and that no, we could not have one of the other trucks on the lot because they were reserved. They directed us to the Altamesa location (3 miles away) where we waited another 30-45 minutes to get a truck. It was given to us with 3/16 tank and we were told if we brought it back with 1/4 tank, we would get a $20 credit. We brought it back at 7:30 that evening, but I didn't check my phone to see that I was supposed to follow the link to check it in. I called around 9:30 the next morning and got the corporate office because the Altamesa location wasn't answering their phone. The corporate office said they would make a note that it has been returned but to call back and speak with the Altamesa location. When I called back 3 hours later, Altamesa still wasn't answering and I spoke to the corporate office again who told me the Altamesa office received the truck, but they did not credit the $20 but they didn't know why. They then transferred me to Altamesa so that I could learn the reason for no refund, but the phone then rolled back over to the corporate office since Altamesa still wasn't answering the phone. I talked to a different person who said (after speaking directly with the Altamesa office) that the gas was less than what it was upon our receipt of the truck. Fortunately we took a picture of the dashboard which she had me email to her, and after 30-40 minutes on the phone, she finally agreed to refund the $20 which we should receive in 3-5 days. This was a frustrating experience. And this was also on the heels of going to the Granbury office to buy supplies on two different occasions which they did not have. We were not given any offer of compensation for the inconvenience of not getting our reserved truck nor having to go to a location further away. All in all, not a good experience.

Customer service was horrible; the lady we dealt with was incredibly rude and sarcastic with us after not including our appliance dolly and having to go back to get it. The directions as to what would be required to verify when we picked up our truck (and returned) were not clear and caused a ton of extra time to be wasted. We were incredibly frustrated with the entire process.

We used the truck for 12 hours but we're charged for 2 days (no choice for a one day rental which is very unfair) and we were under the prepaid mileage of 202 miles and we filled the truck with gas to the 5/8 of a tank line we were told to. Why did you tack on an extra $7.65?! It's not a lot of money but it is infuriating to overpay to begin with but then be charged extra for no reason!! Please advise.

Vehicle was not fully fueled. Had to change fueling terms of contract. Still awaiting final receipt of itemized charges. Would be much easier/clearer/more understandable if payment was taken upon return through point of sale. I still don't know what all charges a 24-hour pickup rental that cost $155 (WAY too expensive) included. Did I pay a non-refundable deposit?

They were helpful and wonderful they even made me aware of my trailer being hitched incorrectly at the previous location and made me aware that the tires on my uhaul were completely bald they was even surprised I made it safe from my drive from Florida to Texas on those tires they told me to call roadside to get the tires changed at my residence.

This location was either understaffed or poorly managed. the front desk radioed for someone to meet me and get my trailer hooked up but after waiting for 15 minutes i gave up and hooked up to my trailer myself then took it around for someone to get photos and check it over. even then it was difficult to locate an employee to assist me. the 5x8 trailer was in excellent shape and after taking it on a 1800 mile road trip..... i have learned that these trailers pull extremely well. i will definitely use uhaul again, just not this location.

I had trouble from the very beginning. The system was not able to verify me, the lock on the truck would not open, the dolly I rented was not in the truck. I had to walk from one end of the building to the other three times and it is not a small building. I asked if one of the employees could just get the truck for me but the answer was no. My movers had already been waiting because I was at uhaul trying to get a truck that was already reserved for 45 minutes. In the past my truck would have already been waiting up front and ready. I will not use this location again.

Very slow customer service, uhaul smelled like cigarette smoke on the inside and gave me a headache and we were only in it for 30 minutes total. And for some reason they charged me $12 additional after I dropped it off. We only went 19 miles and I put 2 gallons of gas in it when returning it

The 1st time I went to rent and was told a Pick-up truck with a car trailer was ok. When I went to pick up on Sunday, the fellow attending me was very harsh and told me to use a Truck instead of a pickup truck. He also told me that why I did not rent in Iowa, because was going to be cheaper. The service guy never explain correctly how to use the car trailer and told me the truck key is in the cup holder - that's it! Need to learn to have some "Customer Service skill!" I don't think I will come back, nor recommend you guys.

Employees at check out said they are going to charge me $150 for cleaning the back of the truck. They didn't explain why, one of them just said: "my manager told me to do so." I left without asking further questions. Next time I'll use a different location or a different trucking company.

I enjoyed the online, after-hours check-in of the truck. However, the site should have better security/lighting. Also, the app does not tell you what to do with blankets and dollies. Leaving them in the back of the truck (unlocked) seems reckless. I locked them in the cab but I was never told to do that... just seemed like the right thing to do.

Send my invoice as promised. I turn the trailer in around 3pm today and still have not recieved my invoice. Also your customer service number needs to have faster service. The recording said I had a 50 minute wait and it did not offer to keep me in que and you would give me a call back. That would be an improvement. Mist people don't have an hour to just wait on the phone for a uhaul rep to take a call.

I really didn't understand why I would make a reservation for a unit and it not be available when I go sign in. I was offered a bigger one, but the ceiling was so low, I wasn't able to keep a few of my items and I had to pay more for it. I feel that we shouldn't have to pay more to have 24 hour access to the facility if we have to pay more not to have it as well. Trying to talk to someone over the phone was a pain. Outside of that, I did feel that my stuff was safe and secure there

I wasn't really satisfied with the unit received. It may have been. Rooms were over booked and the gentleman who helped me was amazing at coming up with a solution for a wider unit. However, I booked the unit I did originally because I had a refrigerator and bookshelf's that I knew were going to need room that I was unable to keep because of the lack of space and time to look for storage elsewhere.
