The three staff members at the counter said â€œwe can see your reservation in the system, but we can't release the truck at that rateâ€. They refused to contact a manager, saying â€œshe's not here. They â€œreenteredâ€ the reservation in the system at a higher rate, refusing to honor the reservation rate, and told me I couldn't have the truck otherwise, which would have been a disaster. The process took 90 MINUTES!Richard S.

The staff was friendly but I was overcharged, and I feel it was on purpose. First, I went in after I made an order on line. I was asked on line if I wanted insurance and I indicated that I did not. The young lady added the insurance and did not mention it to me so when I signed I was not paying attention and had to pay the 14 dollars I specifically declined when I made my reservation. My fault for trusting the staff. Then, which is why I say I was overcharged and on purpose, I bring the truck in and was charged $20.00 for After Hours Drop off, not sure how it was afterhours when I handed my keys to an employee and the location was open and advertises as such at the time of my drop off. The grand total for the additional charges 34.00 plus the tax.Isandra A.

I have never experienced worse customer service. I was charged triple the amount of my uhaul and was called a racist from the manager at the store. She then put a hold on my account for bringing truck back to wrong address which I brought it back to same store i received from. UnacceptableSami B.

I RENTED A CARGO VAN FROM UHAUL LOCATED AT SHELL OV ROCKVILLE CENTRE, 360 SUNRISE HWY., ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY. RES#23110416. MY RENTAL WAS FOR FRIDAY, 9/24/21 AT 10:30 AM. I ARRIVED EARLY TO THIS LOCATION WHERE I WAS GREETED BY A VERY NASTY ANGRY MAN WHO TOLD US WE SHOULD GO OUTISE & CALL THE NUMBER ON THE DOOR AS UHAUL RENTAS WERE NOT HIS PROBLEM. WE WERE VERY TAKING BACK BY HIS BEHAVIOR SINCE HE SEEMED LITERALLY ENRAGED. WE IMMED STEPPED OUTSIDE, ACTUALLY IN FEAR AND CALLED THE NUMBER ON THE DOOR (516-608-5932) AT LEAST 20 TIMES AND NOBODY ANSWERED. WE LEFT NUMEROUS MESSAGES AT THIS NUMBER AND ACTUALLY TO DATE NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK. THE VAN WAS ON SITE BUT OBVIOUSLY WE NEEDED A KEY. AFTER WASTING 35 MINUTES WITH THIS ANIMAL WE CALLED UHAUL (1-800-996-0500) AND THE WOMAN I SPOKE TO TOLD US TO LEAVE THIS LCOATION & GO TO THE 230-240 MAPLE AVE LOCATION TO GET A VAN AND SHE CHANGED OUR RESERVATION TO THAT LOCATION WHERE WE WERE TREATED GREAT. I AM APALLED THAT U-HAUL WOULD EVER DO BUSINESS AGAIN WITH SHELL OF ROCKIVLLE CENTRE. DUE TO THIS DELAY I MISSED MY 11 A.M. APPT AND AM INFURIATED AND VERY DISAPPOINTED. When i reserved the truck, i said no to the insurance. When i got to the location, they guy told me I asked for the insurance. I said no i did not. Then he gave me a whole speech about how I'll be liable if i don't take the insurance and i said i don't want the insurance. Then when i saw on the touchpad that he'd put me down for the insurance, i went to change it to no and he said he'd get it for me. I was charged for the insurance. I DID NOT WANT THE INSURANCE.Matthew G.

Unfortunately we had too many issues with the storage facility. Between getting stuck in the elevator or waiting over 15 minutes for the elevator, we decided to take our business elsewhere. There were a few that were very helpful, and I would like to commend Mish on his help with trying to get the elevator working up to par, and quickly assisting us on getting out of the building. The move-in was fine, back in 2017 when I moved in, so I don't know why I'm getting this now, but it is typical of the complete lack of communication at the facility. For six months now I have been having major problems with my payments -- checks are lost and then posted 6 months late, checks take weeks and weeks to post, and no one knows what is going on or has any interest in finding out. I had to come personally to the facility to straighten out my account, and then ANOTHER check appeared and was posted 6 months after I sent it in.
