Unfortunately we had too many issues with the storage facility. Between getting stuck in the elevator or waiting over 15 minutes for the elevator, we decided to take our business elsewhere. There were a few that were very helpful, and I would like to commend Mish on his help with trying to get the elevator working up to par, and quickly assisting us on getting out of the building. Allow one way rental and drop off I picked up in Rockville Centre NY and wanted to drop off in Southampton NY after one day. I was told no, I must return trailer to Rockville Centre. I ended up keeping the trailer an extra 3 days more than necessary just to return it to the same store. I reserved an appliance dolly online but when I arrived at the facility, there was none. I received a furniture dolly in it's place. An employee said they would change it to the furniture dolly but I see there was an appliance dolly charge on my invoice.Shericia B.

I rented a 5 x 8 trailer for a small move. Trailer was put on my hitch by one of your employees. I was assured it was installed correctly and your employee even took a picture. Employee failed to lock down trailer and it popped off at a traffic light 2 blocks away. Myself and my son fixed it and carried on with the day but the accident that this could have caused was quite alarming. I returned the trailer early as requested as people were lining up for rentals. No one asked about my experience and just moved me along. I understand that the location was busy but the outcome could have been very deadly. Also the trailer was very dirty, I don't expect it to be spotless but it had tar stains all over back of trailer.Gary K.

I used the U-Haul App to reserve the vehicle. The marketing suggested that the process would be streamlined and quick, but it was not. When I arrived at the facility, I interacted with the app, a truck was identified as being available and I completed the transaction. The instructions from the app advised me to walk inside, show the confirmation on my phone, get the key and go. Instead, a desk agent informed me that the truck assigned to me was "not part of their inventory," I waited for almost an hour while the agent figured out the issue, found an available vehicle, cleaned it and gave me the all-clear to leave. This delay caused a tremendous inconvenience.Nigel G.

Your website never works. I always have to get help from service people and this and other locations when I have tried to complete pick up and drop off on-line. I always get the message that my location cannot be found and tried turning off and on both the location and phone itself to try to reset it. I cannot rely on U-Haul app to check me out if I return vehicle after hours!!! Also the truck I rented was high mileage and very rough ride. Fortunate I was only using it locallyDaniel G.

The move-in was fine, back in 2017 when I moved in, so I don't know why I'm getting this now, but it is typical of the complete lack of communication at the facility. For six months now I have been having major problems with my payments -- checks are lost and then posted 6 months late, checks take weeks and weeks to post, and no one knows what is going on or has any interest in finding out. I had to come personally to the facility to straighten out my account, and then ANOTHER check appeared and was posted 6 months after I sent it in. Reese Baccas extended me a VIP credit for having rented space at this location for over a decade. She was very professional and personable. Although I would like to stay at this storage facility I need to find one that is cleaner and more conducive to storing my wardrobe. My clothing has mold on it and many fine pieces of clothing, especially leather clothing and shoes is ruined.
