domenic M.I booked my reservation a month before and when I when to pick up my reservation I was told that they overbooked… so I ended up using a 10' instead of the original 15'. It was an inconvenience since I had to drive an hour to my new home and back to my apartment multiple times. I didn't want to wait another day where I have to pay $1000 rent just because I couldn't move out in time. Just maybe work on scheduling correctly. But Tara was able to help me extend my reservation since I couldn't make it back by 3pm due to the commute

John P.I had a reservation but was assigned Van that was out with another customer. I had to wait 45 minutes on that customer to return the van and Uhaul to inspect. In the future, for customers with a scheduled pickup time, if we don't have to wait, especially when there were other trucks on the lot I could have driven.
Valetha M.The first trailer that we tried none of the lights worked, the second trailer had brake lights and turn signals but not running lights. The worker, Mike, who was helping us to hook up the trailer threw the tongue of the trailer to the ground when asked to try the second trailer lights before going to get the light port on the truck diagnosed as the truck is less than a year old and frequently pulls trailers with no electrical issues. He then kicked the tongue stand and it went under the trailer we were then going to rent as the lights worked on the second trailer (brake and turn signals) and we decided to rent it without the running lights. Inside the store, there was a technical issue when renting the trailer, the system did not recognize that there was two trailers checked in and ready to go. The worker helping me (Avery I think) was great, and kept open communication through the process and apologized for the extra time needed for the system to catch up. While the location and hours of this location make it convenient to stop by for rentals, and the inside staff was great, the attitude of the outside staff when hooking up the trailer made me not want to rent here again

Sujai C.The rental process of "reserving" a trailer is cumbersome and the trailer reserved is not at all guaranteed. This is not specific to a specific rental place, but in general across the board.

(I have pics…if you want to see them) I should be able to assume we'll maintained/safe equipment. Uhaul has been a good company for my rentals up until now.
Brian W.Your app is HORRID! I use uHaul frequently and have NEVER been able to complete my checkin or checkout. I will be including this in my google review of uHaul unless I am contacted about resolving my inconvenience as it took forever- ultimately crashing. There was a waiting line inside, eliminating the convenience of you awful online checking in process. And every customer waiting inside was complaining about the same thing AND your staff at the Rochester location said it hasn't worked well from day one. You wasted an hour of my time because of your app. I would like an 10% discount on my bill. What is your response before I post my Google review?

scott L.I was very frustrated with the dolly and blankets that were inside the truck. I needed every inch of space and those items were absolutely in the way. Unfortunately I did not see these until I was at my first destination and had to put up with the space I lost. Frustrating!

Melanie K.I submitted a request for a 16ft truck at the Wixom location which was available on the website. A day before moving I got a call that I had to pick up in Rochester which was an hour drive. When I got to Rochester my truck was not available due to a "system error" and I had to take a 10 ft truck and return it in Rochester, almost 4 hours round trip from our new house. I am very displeased about the whole process other than Alex at the front desk as he was trying his best to accommodate me.

I drove the replacement truck due to the time constraints I was under. This is the 1st time Ive experienced this type of performance from this location. Hopefully things will geet better.

Unfortunately we had already unloaded our truck and when we addressed this with the staff, it appeared that someone had rented the unit online and placement a lock on the unit. The location was unable to give us another unit and we had to repack the truck and find a different storage facility.

I have the reference numbers if interested. Further ay the drop off site I was told the straps for the vehicle I was towing were not installed properly.

We call roadside assistance several times without a remedy- first call told us to call once arrived at our hotel, second call told us service could take 60-90 minutes to arrive and it was late so I scheduled it for early the next morning then I got a text at 3 am saying I would have to call in the morning and wait again for a phone call to book it. We gave up and just drive the truck as is. Each time I called I had a 30-69 minute wait.

Michael W.Truck was in very rough mechanical shape. All available trucks at the location had check engine lights on. Truck would shake when idling at a light and shift very rough. There was also a hole in the exhaust which would cause an awful fume smell when driving or idling.

Bonnie R.I initially reserved a 4x8 enclosed trailer, and no location had one. Re-booked a 5x8 enclosed at a location 1/2 an hour away, only to find out it was still being used by another customer. I got to drive right back where I started (1 hour round-trip) only to wind up with a 5x9 open deck. The load I had to move was to remain dry at all times; I was dodging rain the whole afternoon! They couldn't even be bothered to book me at the 4x8 trailer price for the inconvenience! As big as this location is, they need to keep MORE enclosed trailers available!!! Worst experience I've ever had with U-Haul by far.

When I showed up in person to sign the papers, I was told the unit I chose did not exist and that there were no longer any main floor units available. I spoke to someone online was told my December payment was over due need to pay around 250. Curicumstance I could not drive there I spoke to Bithany Manager at U Hall Rochester Rd and Tienken, she waived the late fee, gave her my Visa debit card # it went through. Also authorized every month, to take my rent out. Brittany went above and beyond to help me. Would I recommend U Hall at this location??? Absolutely

Aaron K. | Online Move InI used to work for Uhaul so this will be biased. The basic service was fine. There's too much swiping and card reading and doors for my taste, but I get it. The counter is where the break is and always will be. No one knew how to use the door device, it took some time to figure out if it was the right one and if it even worked or not. Hire people and pay them accordingly so someone can be at the counter at all times and people can be out in the lot at the same time helping people. You guys never paid people for the amount of work you dump on them, and let them unionize if they want to Joe. I was offered a job if I wanted it, but really would not want to work for such a megalomaniacal greedy behemoth where the shareholders are more important than the workers. Sadly it is how all future corporations will be. Tell Bezos the same thing at your next rich guy meeting. I went down the road to a more economical storage facility in the end.

Within a reasonable amount of time I received a return call, stating they had made an error and corrected it. However, just waiting for my december payment to be reinstated as I paid 2 months in advance. Other than that, top notch customer service. I will stay on top of the correction to make sure it's done.
