The truck clearly had had a smoker in it. I had to drive about 100 miles total today in a truck that stunk of stale cigarettes covered up by some sort of air freshener, but it was a pretty miserable experience. Also, there was an error message regarding tire pressure and the employee said it was nothing big, but driving all day with that tire pressure warning was not pleasant at all. Also, I had to wander around the location when I was picking it up trying to find someone to help. Found an employee cleaning trucks and he tried to call someone, but said he couldn't find anyone so I had to just stand around and wait. Someone finally showed up to assist me, but the delay was rather inconvenient. This was all during the pick-up. The guy at the drop off, I think his name was Joe, was very nice and did a great job so kudos to him please.Anthony P.
This has been a horrible experience and the general manager, Marvin Perry, has been promised to call and respond to me . The office number is not staffed and almost every call goes to customer service.Kortland F.

My U-Box did not arrive by the guaranteed arrival date. My suggestion for improvement would be for better communication when this happens. No one was able to tell me where the U-Box was, if it was lost, or if it was in a ravine. A tracking device on the U-Box would have alleviated the stress I felt not knowing if or when I would get my items. In the end my U-Box arrived, intact, with all items in great condition. I would use U-box again if needed.audrey W.

Along with extra equipment a place(bay) you can pull in and easily load and unload and an elevator makes it so much easier and better!!! The gentleman that helped me was so helpful and I had rented the wrong size and instead of doing like most do go ahead and give it to me he showed me rather and then I got to get a correct size that was needed!!!Tasha C. | First Impressions

Customer service for pickup was great to talk to and very helpful to get truck setup for me. They were very busy and short handed but helped everyone, including me quickly and professionally, thank you!!! Truck however was completely abused and dents all over it. The interior was outdated, no radio and so noisy you couldn't hear the person in passenger seat. The exterior was okay but the side mirrors, doors and door panels were not secure so shook the entire time so couldn't see traffic out mirrors. However, the storage in back was very clean and functional so all the moving supplies were supported and kept clean in transit. This unit is very functional for local moves but not a unit setup for long haul and should not have given for 650 mile move.ROBERT M.

I was told that Uhaul had a 10% military discount and I had to get it when I arrived in person. I was told when I asked for it Uhaul did not have the discount. Either the discount needs to be applied when you speak to reps on the phone or something.LAVELLE M.
The women who dropped off for storage and returned them and picked up again was AMAZING. She truly did her job well and with kindness. She is very skilled in communication. She checked each time a day or two before coming to make sure timing was what we needed and when I needed another week she took care of making the adjustment and made it extremely easy. She placed them exactly where we wanted and needed. When I wasn't able to be there to receive my stuff back she followed directions on the placement perfectly. She checked again to make sure before picking them back up the following day for the final return. I dont usual take the time to write comments but she really made that part of our stressful move A breeze. Both my husband and I could see how nice she was and appreciated her tone and that she was never short with either of us. We really wish more people in the service industry was like her. The uboxes are reasonable priced, although they are not big because of their size the fork lift allowed for better and easier placement. Where as my big POD from another company had to be placed in a larger area do to the machine used to place it. Two of the Uboxes was the size of the other pod and cheaper.jessica B.
Haven't gotten my deposit back even though everything was done as instructed in the contract. I wasn't told I would need one when I made the reservation. Had I not had a spare $100 on me I would have driven over an hour to be denied a uhaul. That's the fault of the company not the location. Will not be using Uhaul ever again. :)ZACHARY P.
I signed up for storage unit was not given any instructions on how to access the building or access cards. I cleaned out my unit according to the instructions and 5 days later my emergency contacts gets notice that my storage rent is pAst due.breon a. | Overall Experience
They charge me over day plus 2 gallon of gas. I deliver the truck one day early and i don't receive any credit to my credit card for this day and insurance costs. I try use the app for deliver the unit and the picture section was fail all time. I have my gas picture with millage.Rafael M.
Rented a truck thru Springfield storage location. Due 5o double booking They transferred us here and gallayin pike had no idea about it. The trucks Interior light stayed on always. Tried calling uhaul on gallatin pike they never answer their phone. Held for road service they had bo idea how to help. Just call back if the battery dies! Uhaul is always terrible.STEVEN R.

I got charged a fee for returning the equipment to the wrong location, when this was in fact the location i selected to return to. I later noticed a typo in the paperwork that was made in the first location that I'm now paying for. The manager of this location was going to look into it and resolve the problem, which hasn't happened yet, so now im going on 2 days of dealing with that. Ive had a horrible experience with this whole thing as it is and simply refusing to pay $47 for a typo. I will be calling them again tomorrow.KRISTINE A.

I don't know if it's was the computer or the internet I believe it was BOTH but the poor employees tht were working the desk were doing everything they could to quickly check every one in and out and it was painful to watch them struggle! They need better equipment it was a terrible customer experience but not due to the employees - they did above and beyond in their role- I could see how frustrated it was for them waiting on the computer system !Kimberly K.

Everything was fine until I had to check it back in after hours... The instructions definitely could tell you to put keys in drop box at the start instead of after it says lock the doors. I accidently locked the keys in the truck. The location I used waited until 3pm the next day for me to come solve the issue. I paid 80 dollars to get the lock picked. I went to return my keys before the close time and the doors were already locked. Now I'm being charged double. After this I would never consider Uhaul a company worthy of doing business with ever again.CHRISTOPHE D.

Very expensive. UHaul service to load and unload was horrible. Loaders did not show up nor did they respond to phone calls. Unload did not happen because company said they did not see the right amount for payment on their sight. I will never arrange for such services again through UHaul.Katie T.

All U-Haul employees I encountered were terrific. Best of all by far is Ciera, who in advance on the phone reserved the truck I needed, finalized my rental order when I arrived to that facility, and assisted me with advice on how and when to reserve trucks and trailers for my move from Tennessee to Texas in mid-August 2021. She is a wonderful person and U-Haul is very fortunate to have her helping your company.DONALD R.

I was pretty annoyed that I asked to be able to drop off to the closest location to my zip and they assigned this location to me which was an extra 20 min drive. Kind of a pain in the ass after driving packing up, driving 11 hours, unloading and having to pack the toddler in the car to drive an extra 20 minutes. Not the locations fault, just the fault of uhaul, but now I know for next time which I hope will never come.NATHAN R.
The representative should do what he is supposed to do. The unit assigned to me during the initial rental was not at the pickup location when we arrived. We were given another unit and told by Rodney Pruitt the he would update the system. We returned the unit the next day as we were supposed to, to the pick up location. 2 days later, $1000 was deducted from my bank account for not returning the equipment. I am jumping through hoops right now, trying to get this mess worked out. Totally unprofessional. I will never use Uhaul again.Jennifer N.

Just a quick note about my u haul rental Saturday. This experience with u haul was terrible. There is no point in making a reservation. I made a 3:00 reservation and left with the truck at 3:45 on Saturday. First off the guy at the counter was talking with a buddy of his standing next to the counter the entire time he was looking for my reservation. Next he finally decided which truck he was going to give me. While I was doing the online check in. I asked him for the keys which he forgot. I had to go back into the store to remind him of I was waiting for the keys. there was a lot of damage to this truck. He decided to change which truck he was going to give me. After he changed the truck. I was doing the online check in again, and marking off all the damage that didn't have the little â€œxâ€s on it. the mileage was different on this truck so I had to go back into to store again. He was gone so I had to have someone else fix the paperwork again. Once that was done and I went out to start the truck no one informed me this truck would not start with the air conditioner in the on position. I had people waiting on me, 45 minutes later I'm finally heading down the road. How can u haul make up this extremely bad experience to me. If something isn't done, I don't think I'll ever rent from u U-Haul again! yesterday's experience was extremely aggravating. And to pay $200 I'll find somewhere else next time we move!
