Okay I guess just no personality. I come in not greeted not told someone will be with you shortly. Finally got done running their mouths told them I had a reservation. Was told maybe I'm at the wrong location like I didn't read the damn address. Finally found it my wife did it two weeks in advance. Not busy at all rented a dolly was shown where the vehicle was I was renting. Didn't inform me that I left the dolly sitting in the lobby. The vehicles are parked so tightly with only a little room to squeeze in. Then I guess the space markers were on the ground guess I can see through ice and snow. And to top it off I was charged for both types of dollys they offer. In not a professional mover so I didn't know it was this difficult so really zero star's as for the extra charge not going to raise a huff about 7$ just glad this ordeal is over.DONRELL R.

one of the managers at this location on Torrence avenue in Calumet City Nayeli Camarina was rude and very confrontational when trying to resolve my rental agreement. She was insisting that I be charged for 2 days when my rental agreement was for a 24-hour rental I had to call customer service to resolve the problem and was finally issued a refund. I was also issued a truck with a broken gas cap which resulted in me not being able to refill the tank.MELVIN L.

Sales person spoke and displayed a condescending attitude when asked about procedure for recording previous damages sales person says take photos of what ever I think I could be charged for photos were of new vehicle actual truck was dirty and had tree branch scratches all over and some small dents non of which were marked with an X except 2 random scratches sales person would not inspect vehicle with me ( the person that evaluates damages would not show me damage criteria I had over 20 photos) process leaves customer vulnerable to gougingDarryl T.

The most noticeable problem that I had was with your 10ft. rental truck?If you're a tall person like I am (6'4 to be exacted) this truck is way too tight in order to drive this truck; for a short guy might can get away with it. My advice to any tall person, skip the 10ft and rent a truck you can fit in :(TERRY C.

When I picked it up it was marked on the contract that it had a half a tank of gas. When I started it up it was slightly below a half a tank. Fine. When I returned it, I tried to fill it back up to a half a tank. I put over $20 worth of gas in it and the gauge did not move. I even started it up and moved it back-and-forth at the gas station but it didn't move. So I put another $20 of gas in, and this time the gas gauge jumped way up to 3/4 full. Is there anyway I can get reimbursed for the extra $20 of gas I put in the van?PETER J.

Vehicle was poorly serviced. Doors had to be slammed as hard as you could close. Sun visor was so rickety and damaged that you had to have it down and to the driver window side so it wouldn't come down in your face while driving, complete safety hazard. Also I had a discrepancy with my bill when I walked in and voiced it to the employee, Jessica Johnson, I said the word â€œshitâ€(that's just how I talk, get over it) and she wanted to berate me saying it's disrespectful to say a curse word. She continued to escalate the situatio and speak to me with an aggressive tone after I started talking to another calmer employee and told her that I didn't wish to talk yo her. Even while dealing with the other employee Miss Johnson was still behind me complaining about the word â€œshitâ€. I won't be using this location for any moving needs again after this completely childish response to a non-offensive word. Miss Johnson needs to learn to allow people free speech whether she likes it or not. She also needs to learn how to deescalate with an unhappy customer. The entire time I was trying to explain what my issue was she continually spoke over me. The other 2 gentlemen that were working were helpful and didn't try to violate my right to free speech because they feel a word is disrespectful. Miss Johnson needs to take customer service classes because if this is how she acts with customers that have a problem normally I'm sure you'll be losing more business in the future. Overall I would of been fine with this location even after the discrepancy with my bill if Miss Johnson didn't escalate the situation cause her feelings came into play.Joseph W.
Your employee Bryan was very unconcerned and seemed like he hated his job. I was there around 2 pm on Tuesday. The first thing he asked me was did I have a major credit card which was totally out of line. He thinks he can look at someone and size up there credit profile. I make 6 figures a yr. Customer service was poor. Upon entering the employee told me I was â€œlateâ€ which I was already aware but I am not a student going to class. I originally booked the truck for 1pm but uhaul pushed it back to 3pm. The 3pm reservation was an estimated time. The two workers were very unprofessional cursing and joking with other customers which made them seem uncomfortable. Once I got the truck it was parked very tight in-between two other trucks. I had to push the mirrors in on the opposite trucks to have enough space to back out.Sergio H.

Don't change the reservation telling your customer you the have size truck that is promised to them, which happened to me. I reserved the 26' truck to be picked up in Hammond then my reservation was changed to the Calumet City store. When I get there I didn't get the 26' foot truck like I asked for. I had to make more trips putting more miles on the truckâ€¦ what a coincidence maybe is done that way so the customer could be charged for the miles on the truck. It's not fair to the customers, we as a customer rely on the company to supply us with a moving truck!!! Maybe I would recommend someone if I would get compensated for the trouble I went through.JOSE R.

Please let your staff know that it is rude and unprofessional to take personal calls while assisting customers especially when hooking up trailers. Went to pick up truck at 7am. Followed app instructions to get key . Got box open , but it was empty. Call service line . Was put in cue for call back. Got call back to say I was next . Never talked to a rep. The system kicked to back of line again. Had to come back at 9am. I waisted two hours to get truck. When I came back to get truck , guy at counter did not apologize for the issue . Poor service. When I returned truck there were two guys . Both seemed to be deep into there phones. I have used the U-Haul off 71st and Stoney island and was always pleased with service. I cannot recommend this location.LaShawn J.

Over the pass 2 months I used this location to move my family of 7 out of an house in Calumet City. This location was convenient because it's less than 2 miles from me. On this occasion I attempted to speak with the manager to let her know that one of her workers continued to give me an attitude after I previously complained about him to her and this last time was in front of another customer. Previously I simply asked the guy that was taking care of me what could be done about me filling the truck up when it wasn't full when I initially got it and the other guy jumped into our conversation rudely in front of a customer. On this occasion the manager initially had an attitude as well and stated to the worker who explained to her my issue that everyone wants to talk to her and I saw her when I was going in which I did. She was in the storage room area but I decided to wait for her at the desk instead of going into the storage room area. I feel like I have given Uhaul too much money over the last 2 months to be treated that.KEIOSHA B.

Horrible customer "service", if it can be labelled as service. I had to do everything myself. The rental had not just one, but two flat tires. Then it wouldn't start. I spent half of my day waiting for this piece of junk to be repainted enough for me to " safely" use. On top of all that, half of the lights don't work and it smelled of plastic and oil as well. I almost walked away from this death trap but I had no choice but to take this pile of junk in order to move my stuff as I was being evicted and needed it. This made my bad situation even worse. It was a complete nightmare. All the person in charge at this location did was blame the their regional office for giving them run down and neglected trucks but wasn't apologetic at all. It didn't seem like he wanted to be there. I wish I can write something, or anything positive from my experience today. I'm just glad it's finally over. Horrible! Just horrible!VENITA W.

I rent quite often reserving a vehicle in advance. All of my information is is saved using the mobile app. Recently it seems to not be functioning properly. Friday, I did the mobile check-in, was assigned my truck, and went inside for the keys. When I came in, I had to go through the whole check-in process again, including scanning my license again and giving my payment info again, then given a different truck, which was not in the spot I was told. I was not asked to verify condition, mileage or fuel. Starting up the vehicle the low tire light was on, and discovered driving home the left headlamp was burned out. The transmission was really struggling with and empty load, and needs servicing. One would think these are checked before releasing to the next customer. There was a line returning the vehicle, so I did the mobile check-in which I normally do anyway. After completion, the truck in front of me backed into me. One of the employees yelled to the driver, another employee, it's ok you didn't hit it. There was no damage, but the point is, there could have been and I may have been charged for the damage. Perhaps there is a way to speed up the process since I am a frequent renter. You are conveniently located and would like to continue using you but these processes and procedures seem to be a bit redundant.TIMOTHY K.
