I had a horrible experience. The tru k broke down. Waited over 2 hours for service. Never arrived. Was told to leave key in tru k. Put 25 dollars of gas in it. Couldn't finish what I needed to do due to truck not running. And now I am not compensated for my lost time and gas money. I will be disputing the charges. GM wasn't very helpful because they were to busy. Called numerous times to discuss between Saturday and Sunday. No one answered. After 10 minutes or so someone from Arizona picked up. Not happy at all with the Uhaul experience. And it's not my first time using Uhaul. Customer service will be getting a call from me.LAWRENCE A.

Well. I reserved the Uhual for 12pm yesterday. Got there and there's a line with one worker. I was trying the App but eventually I was the next person I line. I told the worker that my reservation was at 12 tot just about 1pm. Her attitude. Also at the drop off last night. Couple of us hard logging in to return the truck. Everything was perfect for drop off . Except your web site . Not accessible on my iPhone. If my daughter did not help on her phone , I would not have been able to maneuver thru the in line pick up and drop off . Not user friendly for older person. Would not do this again ever . Couldn't register online account. A friend did it for me from her home as well. Called the help line thinking they could set it up after multiple tries and 2 hrs on lineâ€"- nope. That would have made the whole experience less frustratating. Would never rent again . The lady who originally booked the reservation was awesome !!! No problems in the phone . Bad experience. I was told the gas tank was 1/4 full there was about a gallon of gas 28 miles until empty to be exact. I don't think its fair that I had to put gas in the tank to 1/4 before drop off. I was ripped off with the gas!Natasha G.

The only issue I had was when I called in the general number (not the plainville office) I asked the gentleman to reserve me a unit by or near my current 3 units which are all in the same isleâ€¦ he said no problem. Then suggested a 6x8â€¦ when I stayed 5x7â€¦ but I agreed. I go to pick up the rental and check in to get the storage unit and keys only to find out they were nowhere by each other. Not even a few isles away.. it was like a mile away. So Charles in Plainville quickly fixed that issue and managed to give me the original unit size I requested literally right next door to one of my units which pleased me.Lucy C.

EVERYTHING was FIRST-CLASS! Manager Maddie is a gem, and runs a tight, organized ship. She's very friendly, personable, courteous, and knowledgeable, and she makes customer satisfaction her top priority! Bryan demonstrated the gate operations for me, and was very friendly, and helpful. I was charged for mileage that we did not use and we are currently disputing this with uhaul. We have documentation of our travels and it shows that we only drove approximately 150 miles and they said we drove almost 400 and are charging us $250 extra even though we did not do this make sure to take a picture of your mileage when you return at this location.Ashton L.

I ordered my vehicle outside of normal hours, application did not work- I had to wait 30 minutes for store to open. Woman at register answered her personal phone 3 times while line of 8-10 people waited. I was given a truck only to find check engine light was on so I had to go back inside and wait for another vehicle. Truck had less than 1/4 tank of gas - if your â€œrefillâ€ policy worked. a customer would always get a truck with a full tank as the previous would've refilled or the company would have and charged- I'll use another truck company in The future.Brian P.

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST! The customer service here is phenomenal - not just in this difficult business, but in the entire customer service industry. Chantelle should be the CEO of U-Haul! It is clear that her staff respects her and they all will do just about anything to help their customers get the best deal possible and resolve any issues immediately. They treat everyone like family. U-Haul should be using this facility as the example that all others should strive to be like. I've dealt with several other storage and truck rental facilities - none come close to this one. Moving is one of the most stressful things anyone can go through and U-Haul's mission should be to help reduce this stress. Chantelle and her staff fully understand this and do "whatever it takes" and then some. During this move I dealt with several rude U-Haul employees both on the National U-Haul phone line and at the facility where we dropped off the truck. Again, they should ALL be trained by Chantelle. If they were, U-Haul would rule the industry! While happy to have moved to the next chapter in our lives, I am sad to say goodbye to U-Haul - Pinnacle Rock. As a long term (3 years) user of Pinnacle Rock (Plainville) U-Haul Storage and Rental, I have found the facility, its staff and service to be phenomenal. Never encountered a "problem" which is surprising since my tenure was an extended one. Whether it be with storage or truck rental, everything always went smoothly. Employees were always helpful, friendly and great to deal with. I would like to single out Will Cintas, who had a "one-of-a-kind" philosophy of management and customer service; that should be "bottled and sold" to any company involved in working with the public and providing services similar to yours. Truly an honest, caring, and "Service is #1" type of professional. More importantly, a "good and genuinely fine" person for who he is. The biggest compliment that I can pay to a person is to say: "If I had a business that needed someone with Will's responsibilities, and even more, I would try to hire him away from your company...with a promotion if possible", U-Haul must have realized his worth, as he is now manger for 128 (if memory serves me correctly) "Plainvilles". Justifiably earned and deserved. I suspect that he will move further up in the company as time goes on. I work with Neurodiverse clients, and Mr. Cintas went out of his way to interview and talk with one of my clients who was a mechanic by training and in need of a part-time job. If New Britain and Plainville haden't merged, there is not a doubt in my mind that my client would have been "doing hitches" for Will in Plainville. Consolidation of operations unfortunately eliminated that possibility, (and rightfully so) when the opening was filled by a (transferring) in-house employee from the soon-to-be closed operation. I have nothing but the highest praises and kudos for EVERYTHING about the Plainville operations and its people. Should I ever need a storage unit or truck rental again, I WILL go to Plainville...if it is possible, even if there are other providers closer. If not, I would still choose U-Haul merely based upon my experiences with Pinnacle Rock. I was particularly impressed with how management and staff handled a water "emergency" that resulted when a customer's vehicle caught fire (due to vehicle malfuntion) in the parking area, just adjacent my INDOOR "bin". Sprinklers went off and water sprayed everywhere; so much so, that it had to be "sopped" up from a quite a large area in the vicinity of the fire. My unit was unaffected, in my mind, primarily because of the "pro-active" actions taken by staff to prevent water from flowing into other surrounding areas. Will Cintas, and staff were present when I arrived to check my unit and insurers were already on the premise to help customers check for and guage damages, if indeed there were any; and to file claims, right then and there if any needed to be completed. Plainville and U-Haul have EARNED a "life-time" customer from the former occupant of #1003 ; but more importantly..it has an active ambassador for the facility, its' operations and it's staff. Customer Service is the name of the game...and the GAME IS ON when it comes to Pinnacle Rock, Plainville. My thanks to all at the Plainville facility. In two words..."CONSISTENTLY AWESOME!" Not happy with checkout/move out process. I moved out of my storage until on 8/7, my monthly payment was paid on 8/4 and there are no pro rated refunds for the rest of the month unused. So I am paying for a month that I am not using yet the unit is rented out for the rest of the month so facility is getting paid twice for the same unit. Employee that was helping me did not explain too much about how to get to the unit, she highlighted where it was, map is very confusing. She super quickly mentioned the what 1 and 2 was on clicker. Also, she was attending to other customers instead of helping me finish with my transaction. It just seemed like she was trying to speed through helping customers and was not polite. I reserved a 12'x10' unit. I showed up on move-in day to find out that I don't have a space. The staff were rude and told me that a reservation means nothing and that the U-Haul website only shows customers what they want to see but in fact isn't true. I ended up taking an 8'x10' because that's all they had and when I opened the unit there was a column in the middle of the unit. I reserved a 10x15 indoor space thru the website a month ago. Yesterday I went to the facility to get access to the storage space but was told by the girl at the counter that there were no 10x15's available and that the website booked too many reservations for the amount of spaces of that size available. Not my problem but the clerks didn't care. I tried to reason with the manager but she was very rude and obnoxious to me and didn't care that I was unhappy or dissatisfied. I had no choice but to accept a 10x10 space instead which worked out fine. I moved in today but there were a couple of other groups moving in to theirs also but there are only four carts/dollies available. Not nearly enough for the total number of spaces available. If that's not enough, the floor plan diagram on the wall indicates two elevators side by side and an adjacent restroom but there is only one elevator and no restroom because it is actually a storage space. UHAUL YOU NEED A SECOND ELEVATOR IN THIS HUGE FACILITY! This facility is new, very clean and plenty of storage spaces but crappy, unprofessional and unfriendly customer service staff and insufficient amenities made this a very unpleasant experience.Jeffrey P. | First Impressions
