The staff was very helpful, especially to extend the rental for several days. This is clearly a full service facility and will be used again. They also passed along my house keys enthusiastically, accidently left in the beverage cup even though I checked for my belongings. It is also noted that the truck stays in low gear going downhill while in drive. This is helpful, restrains need to downshift going downhill. Thanx. Will be using UHaul again.EDMOND B.

The cashier/help desk lady was on a personal call the entire time we were there to rent a truck. It was a little difficult for us to ask questions as her phone call seemed more important than to attend to us. Because of this, we got confused on how to return the rental truck. We really wanted to return it to a different location, but unfortunately we had to drive all the way back to Pasadena because it was an â€œin town rentalâ€ on the contract.VALENTINA R.
I was given a truck that was set to be sent out for repairs, as a result the truck steering wheel locked. The store manager, Shanna Williams called me and said, I would have to bring back the truck, because this truck was given in error due to the steering wheel locking, I told her we could turn on car. We read manual, Mgr tried to talk us thru it, no luck. Friend had to check YouTube to get steering unlocked. After 8:30 pick up, we had a replacement truck after 10am. I asked Shanna if I can get compensated for my inconvenience, she said, she'd do something, at drop off, Kim, Asst. Mgr. called Shanna she denied telling me she'd "Do something for me", I told Kim, this wasn't true, and my inconvenience was unacceptable. Kim, apologized and gave a $15 inconvenience discount. Kim was empathic to my inconvenience. But this experience SOURED me. This is my third time using U-Haul this year, I use it for home remodeling supplies, however the experience with Truck gives me PAUSE in considering using and referring UHAUL. Felt duped on the gas gauge. I drove the U-Haul 20ish miles and y'all charged me $40 for 10 gallons of gas. You need more accurate gas gauges on your trucks because there is no way I took it from 7/8ths full to 1/2 full in a 3 hour rental.Dylan R.

Actually, overall the place was spotless. Very crowded lot, seemed a bit disorganized/understaffed. Once I had paid and signed documents, was left on my own to find vehicle and to figure out controls and mirrors. Would have been a much better experience if someone outside had guided me, make sure all was setup/adjusted for safety, help in getting out of the lot and onto the street.JOHN G.

There was no parking. It wasn't clear how to get into the parking lot. There were day workers outside that gave us wrong directions and pressured us into hiring them. We drove 30 miles out of our way to pick up the trailer because our original location did not have the equipment that we had reserved. I told the counter I would be back in two hours, it was 300pm. It would have been nice if the counter person could have told me they close the office at 5:00 pm and there is a $28 dollar â€œafter hoursâ€ fee. Instead I payed and extra $28 for being 5 minutes past 5:00, which was the same price as the total rental. I'm not sure if this is a tacky management strategy to say nothing as collect the fees or the counter attendant not being kind, but either way, I'm not coming back.LOREN V.

This is my 2nd time renting in about a month and plan to continue to rent on a weekly basis (trailer to haul dirt bikes in). Love the speed in which I can get my trailer and drop it off. The pickup took FOREVER. Everyone was going so slowly. When we got to the store there were two people being helped and one person in line in front of us. Fifteen minutes later we were at the front of the line and there were five groups behind us. Employees seemed very unhappy to be working here. Customer service was very poor. This has been my experience twice now, once at the Altadena, CA location, once at the Pasadena. Also, very disorganized pickup process and the app did not work. I had to access the site through a browser and walk back and forth a very long distance between the rental and the office twice, then told I had to walk to another location on the premises to get the keys. It's just extra frustration during an already frustrating time. Especially when I'm taking extra steps to make things easier on the employees and myself by doing things through the app.Aaron F.

I asked for receipt to be email and it has not, and your system was "down" and had to wait 30 minutes to pay for 8 months of storage. Would like rent not continue to raised I have been here since 2013, 6 years is the cut off of storage rent increase if not may find another, and there was a White male worker, no name tag, being very annoying and female Black was also annoyed by him she said something about gas he was working on, he also said "your storage went up another 5 bucks". when general manager came out that guy was gone from office.
