I have used U-HAUL about 10 times in the last 15 years. Although worried about the location, it was the smoothest experience I have had. The prices seem to be inflating quite a bit, like everything else, so maybe offer a rewards program for returning customers.NICOLE M.

Service and employees were great. It just sucked cuz I was told by customer service when I booked it that the price is the same no matter how long you rent a truck for, but then was told by another agent that I'd be charged for another day since I had it over 24 hours. I get it, but I was not informed about that and the info I was given by the first rep resulted in me feeling more relaxed enough to keep it out longer. I ordered a truck on 4/6/21 to pick-up at 9am on 5/1/21. (order # 25029977) At 7am on 5/1 I received a text from u-haul telling me they would not be able to supply the truck. I called the local office and no one picked up. I called the 800 number and was on hold for 33 minutes. While on hold I called another Denver u-haul to see if they had a truck and they said my truck was available at my original pick-up site. I hung up with the 800 number on hold. I went to the original location and they said say did have the truck I needed but had not texted me back - no apology. Then after we loaded our truck with all our furnishings and returned to the store front, your storage program was down and they said we needed to wait for it to come back online until we could load into a storage unit. We left for 3 hours and then returned and with no program operating, the manger did a great job getting us a storage unit so that we could load all our belongings and we'd deal with the paperwork later. Very trying day for us on u-haul's part. Being 60 years old, texting sucks. When you have bad news like that which started my day at 7am, you call the customer directly and work thorough the problem. The text basically said - "too bad... you're on your own." There was no ownership in the process. I'd never do that to my customers. My below average rating is based on how they handled the beginning of my day. The result by the end of the day would be a higher rating thanks to the manager. Where do I start? I had two separate appointments. One to get the hitch installed and one to pick up the trailer. The night before both appointments I got a text late that they didn't have the parts I had reserved. I called a million times throughout the week only to be put on hold for hours on end. We eventually ended up rebooking online and going with a truck instead as we had no other option since we were MOVING which is why we reserved the equipment on a specific day. We reserved the truck for $1400 online and when we got there they said it would be $1700. Then we got the truck and it smelled like cigarettes. Lastly they double charged me. I called to have one charge refunded and the guy said he would take care of it but did nothing. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional and unorganized company. It is ridiculous to me that a moving company can't honor reservations as they know people have leases etc. so the dates they reserve are not flexible. The truck had not been cleaned in the inside and it's Covid y'all need to disinfect those trucks... there was a package of egg roll wraps n the truck which was also and indication that it was not cleaned after the last person narrowed it. When I returned the truck and 1230, one hour early and no one was in the office to check me back in with this truck. I then received a call two hours later asking me where the truck was.. when I returned it two of the employees we're working out side and the third employee was too busy on her phone to properly do her job and therefore make sure the truck was checked right.. not good y'all need to get that shit right... Employees need to greet the customers I should not have to look for someone to help me because they are busy in their cell phone. I asked her was she gonna come check the gas gage and she said don't worry about it so I left. Then to get a call that the truck was not checked in is very lame...SHAREE R.

This location and the staff were very efficient and empathetic to our bad experiences with 2 other dealers who gave our reservations away and had us driving hours to different locations across the state in Colorado. Staff greeted me with the warmth of a concrete bench in the middle of a Chicago winter. Interaction with your employee was just pure function at best. Later in the transaction he warmed up a little. His actions were never base in malice or deliberate rudeness. I think he just needs more awareness and training. He's got potential to be great. The fact you let me keep the truck longer than I originally scheduled it for was fantastic. Some of your staff are excellent. Most just need additional training. When I stopped to drop off the trailer, non of the staff were wearing masks, in addition to this they would barely let me get a word out to talk to anyone about the dirty trailer and lack of blankets in the uhaul. I was informed the only one way available was an hour away and was only a 10 ft. I wound up getting a 20ft that I had to return to the location I rented it from. I don't appreciate being threatened to call the police on me if the vehicle wasnt returned. We had a snow storm the day before and we were snowed in 8 inches of snow. After threatening to call the police the manager charged my card for a week without letting me know and wouldnt give me a return date. I had to look all of this up on my own. There were several frustrating issues with my experience. I am glad I decided to run over a car full of our items and get the storage unit a week earlier than we are moving because it would have been awful if I had our family (that is helping us move next weekend) sitting around waiting through the mess that was getting our storage unit. They had trouble finding our reservation which wasn't a big deal but a little time consuming. Then when I went to the loading dock and unloaded I found out the unit they gave me had a lock on it. So, I had to reload my items into my car so I wouldn't leave my items unattended and then go to the office to get them to unlock it. There was another person there also waiting for them to unlock his unit as well. Why rent units that are locked? It all seemed super disorganized and like they were understaffed. Then when we opened my unit the alarm went off because they set me up with a pin but didn't tell me that I can only use one of the pin pads by the loading dock door so it wasn't working. After loading all of my stuff into the unit I went back to the office to sort out the pin issue and there was no one there so I stood around for about 10 minutes. I finally found the manager and he helped me. The whole process of dropping off my car load of stuff and getting our unit should have taken 30 minutes but it all took about 1.5+ hours. The staff was nice enough but they are a mess and need more staff. I would not recommend this storage facility.Kathlyn S. | First Impressions
