At the beginning of the day the crew refused to come outside, directed me to two different trucks, the number on the key did not match the number on either one. They didn't have the dolly i ordered and tried to force furniture pads on me. I requested a different dolly pulled up to the front to have it placed on my truck. Only to have the employee call my phone and tell me it was sitting at the door for me to grab it myself. My contract was changed to a truck with way less gas because they couldn't find the first one â€¦barely had enough for my round trip journey. Then when I dropped off the truck I was told by incompetent employees that the truck wasn't from their location even after showing the contract. My car was literally in front of the building. I ended up having to process my own return after them attempting to charge me 3,000 for the truck even though I was sitting in it in front of the location I got it. The representative told me he wasn't a manager and to just wait for the 3,000 charge to fall off and call THE NEXT day to speak to someone. If you have self service options use them at this location because they're definitely no help.KIARA M.

I am the managing Partner of an Outback in Austin Texas and I started receiving these emails today with my receipts, etc. I tried to call the location on the receipt and was told by the recording that it would be over 45 min wait to talk with anyone. The receipt says that a Juan Garcia rented a UHaul from you in Illinois but I do not know this person and I am not sure why i am getting these emails and receipts. I was never able to talk with anyone to see what the issue was so i now i am leaving you this review.Juan G.

The wait for service was excessive. Only one rep available. No acknowledgment as I waiting at least 20-25 minutes to be seen. Rep wasn't service oriented nor did she apologize for the wait. No smile or warm welcome. It then took another 15 minutes or so to locate a vehicle they could give me. The truck was completely covered with ice. No offer to de-ice it but I was asked did I have an ice scraper. The overall experience was very poor. I'm not sure I'll return to this location.JAMES M.
I rented the trailer 12/31 and returned it on 12/31 around 5 530 pm. Talked to person at front desk was told i was checked in as they were outside when I pulled up. 1/1. Got a call asking where is equipment. I told them I returned it yesterday was told ok I checked my account i was charged again I called back and was told to expect a refund im currently waitingAaron L.
I was especially pleased with Damen, the manager of this location. He has been especially helpful, creative and kind, as we had to unexpectedly move a family member to a nursing home during Covid! The young men who worked in that particular location did not give good customer support! The young lady who worked that night did an outstanding job! My reserved truck was given away and the gentleman who was helping me gave no other solutions. The young lady stepped in and gave me the truck I reserved and an apology for the confusion! The guy who helped me when I returned the truck was very helpful. I tried to return the truck through the uhaul mobile site, but was very confused with it. The process was not very user friendly. I returned it as he was leaving the building going home. I told him what I was going through and he told me to just put the key in the box and he will return it for me in the morning.ERRON W.

They gave away the truck I reserved weeks earlier while I was in their parking lot. The awful service rep said there was nothing she could do about it, but she would give me a 26' and adjust the price to be the same as the 20'. We actually thanked her for that, prior to noticing they were the same price and she didn't do us any favors. She double-talked us and U-Hault thinks it's ok. We completed our move and returned the truck where we proceeded to once again call them out for their shady business practices. Peace and love MF'ers. We will never use your business again.TAMMI M.

This location was great and the staff was friendly but Uhaul is horrible!! I made. Reservation for one location and was shifted over 20 miles away without anyone ever calling to speak to me and the I was obligated to return to this same location which had wonderful service but completely inconvenient. As a corporation you should allow reservations. If they cannot be made, that's absolutely horrible customer serviceANNA H.

I was double charged for a rental. I used the online app on my cell phone, it did not properly return the truck. I was double billed and the mileage was incorrect on my billing invoice, I took the receipt to the local station and 2 weeks later I have not received a refund. It also takes 2 hours to even connect with a live person.Carl B.
I had a horrible experience.. they gave my reservation away 5 mins after the hour.. It was impossible to contact the location by phone without waiting for the national number to pick up (in a half-hour!). I left a pair of clip-on sunglasses (expensive, but useless to anyone who doesn't have the same kind of glasses that they clip to). I know EXACTLY where I left them, and they claimed that they never found them. I won't be using them (or your company: $20.00 extra to return the van early?) again.ERIC P.

The overall experience was good. Although the check-in process could be streamlined, it's kind of long. Also you should tell customers that if they look towards the top front of the truck they will see the truck number that matches the number on the key. . It is there, visible for all to see. They give you the key to the truck, all the trucks look alike except for their size. Telling the customer where the truck number is saves time and makes things go smooth.CAROLYN H.

I had a negative self serve experience. Getting the key was confusing because the mobile app steps said to locate the equipment, showing the lockbox and truck, but it did not give the lock box code until AFTER you move forward past the lock box screen and make a payment. It needs to be more clear in the app that you should look for the key AFTER paying. When returning the truck, the app would not accept my photo of the odometer and so I could not complete the return. I had to just drop the key in the lock box and call the next day. Very disappointed.Manju C.

I reserve my unit online using the website. I was giving unit 0717 but upon arrival that unit was already taken. The associate inside the facility was very helpful and she was able to assigned me a new storage unit that wasn't assigned to no one else. She made the process very smooth and she was able to do it all while we loaded our items into the storage unit once we were finished loading up she came outside with the correct paperwork showing our new storage unit number. I am beyond happy with the service that she provided she was nice and helpful and she completed the task in a timely matter. See the reason why I waited this experience at excellent. The online process needs to be updated so another customer won't be assigned a storage unit that's already assigned to someone else God for bid if they came after hours wants to facility with clothes then they wouldn't be able to load the items into the storage unit plus they would have wasted all their time loading a uhaul for no reason.Toriano W. | Online Move In
Customer service on Sunday at pick-up was excellent. My original reservation for Saturday was "not submitted appropriately" according to the gentleman helping at the time, and he seemed not to have time to really focus on my concerns because he had his infant daughter at the site seeing after her. STOP altering clients reservations. I had a 15 foot truck reserved a week out for a reason. To call me at 6pm the night before to say "your reservation has been changed, here is a smaller 10" truck at another location" is unacceptable. One of the young ladies that assisted me was pleasant, the other had an unpleasant attitude. I was given one unit, and a lock was already on it. The unit I have has glue mouse traps all over so I can't use the space in the corners! Also I don't want mice in my belongings! I'm going to find somewhere else because this is disturbing and is also prohibiting me from full use of the space. Get your stuff together U-Haul. Bad truck with check engine light that popped on during a long trip between states. Didn't get the truck I originally reserved an entire MONTH in advance. The storage unit I requested a month in advance wasn't available either. There is a pandemic and THEY DIDNT CLEAN THE TRUCK AFTER THE PERSON BEFORE ME. The previous customer pulled up and they told me that this was my truck. Worst experience ever. Who cares about convenient hours.
