Perhaps remove the dollys and packing equipment that is mounted IN THE WAY taking up room to which I did not request such equipment. I had to place dining room chairs in a separate truck in order to move my items. Very displeased. I ordered the big truck for the space and room, not to be hindered by unnecessary materials that are in the way. This is the most amazing UHAUL I've ever been to. I've gone there a few times now to pick up Uboxes and even when they are busy I was taken care of in an unbelievably short time. Yet they don't shortcut the time they spend helping you. I would like to particularly recognize a young lady named Irmalyse (Sanchez?). I can not say enough about how excellent she is at her job. She is very kind and friendly. She's on top of her game. She obviously has no problems multitasking. I would highly recommend her to any employer for any position with the skills she has that are foundational to any place of employment. Please note though that all of the employees there are great. The appliance dolly I rented had a damaged strap locking mechanism, rendering it dangerous to use on heavy equipment (it will not maintain tension). It is also badly rusted and worn, and needs to be replaced or extensively refurbished. The truck itself was in good shape, and no issues were identified.JAMEEL N.

Since this was delivered to a commercial location I asked the scheduling lady about same day pick up. She said it was possible and she would see if it could be done. IT DID NOT HAPPEN. The pick up was 2 days later. The commercial location called me 4 times to ask when it was getting picked up. I told them I called the Palm Bay location multiple times and was unable to get through. They said the rental truck had 3/4 of a tank of fuel, It did not, it had 5/8 tank of fuel the same amount I dropped it of with but they still charged me 17.10 for gas. I have pictures of fuel gauge at pick up and drop off!DAVID F.
The only manner in which this U-Haul location can improve is to fire all of its staff and hire competent, service-driven replacements! The services that I and other hard-working customers pay for are rendered in such an unprofessional manner that is frankly shameful for this establishment to bear the U-Haul name. Not only are the staff largely incompetent, they also seem to lack basic interpersonal skills. Having a customer wait over an hour to be served while multiple employees are using their personal phones and sipping iced teas wouldn't be acceptable in a soup kitchen, much less a store where you are charging customers by the hour for equipment rentals. To add insult to injury, the employee who assisted me in checking my return in had absolutely no clue how to do so. After sending me on my way with just a receipt for returning furniture pads, I, the customer (!), had to instruct the employee on how to properly check a vehicle in on a mobile device. On second thought, firing the entire staff mightn't even be sufficient as these are apparently the best and brightest of the candidate pool. Heaven help you bunch of people.RENEED E.

I have rental from this U-Haul facility multiple times, and each experience was excellent. The manager who waited on me with this last rental was very pleasant, professional and quick to process my paperwork. However, the person who connect up the 6 x 12 trailer never tightened the coupler handwheel when he seated it on the ball. The trailer came off the ball as we were going through an intersection where the cross-road was quite raised. Fortunately it did not damage my truck or the trailer, and it did not cause an accident. I was able to get the trailer back on the ball and properly tighten it down; however, the electrical cord must have been damaged because only one directional light worked and the brake lights did not work. I took the trailer to the nearest UHaul dealership in Lakeland FL..EDWIN K.

I thought the whole point of reserving a truck online was so you could pick up a truck without having to stand in line. It took a long time to get waited on. There was only one person on the counter trying to do everything. The truck windshield had something all over the outside that would not wash off. The gas tank was supposed to be full but wasn't. This location was extremely unorganized and the employee we worked with seemed to be under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. We had to wait over 40 minutes to rent a trailer even though we did the online check-in through the U-Haul app. The manager walked away from us while we were still speaking to her and left to go home while there was a line of customers waiting to be helped. Upon returning the trailer, we were told by an employee where to drop it off. It seems that this location is understaffed. Workers were helping customers all over the place. My crate was scheduled for me to arrive at 11:00. I arrived at Noon and still had to wait for an hour to access it. Also It was not clear that I needed to make an appointment 24 hours ahead of my arrival. Wasted a trip the day before. The y were not helpful. We had to switch out the truck twice due to leaking in the back of the truck and ultimately we had to settle for a truck that rained on us in the cab half the way to Virginia. Once we got to the drop off point in Roanoke the staff there was not without required knowledge as well. We had to wait forever for someone to detach the trailer which no one ever inspected before we left. We had to purchase ratchet straps to secure the truck to your trailer because the ones on it were extremely damaged. Not happy spent a lot of money and felt like UHaul let us down. The alarm would continuously go off whenever we entered the unit. When we requested help, we were told it was normal. We know this is not the case and we were given the impression the employees simply didn't want to help. Whenever we attempted to speak to an employee, the average wait time ranged from 45 mins to over an hour. The facility is clean, staff is friendly, but we had issues from the beginning. We reserved climate controlled storage rooms, when we arrived there were none to be had. So we ended up having to get regular storage lockers. After about 7 months of storage it was time to move into our home. We found that there was a small leak in one of our units that allowed small amounts of water in. But it was enough to rust our refrigerator, mold our newer couches, mold our large(expensive) Turkish rugs, and also cause damage to our cherrywood dresser(also not cheap), and also molded our dining room chairs (total of 6 that will need reupholstered or replaced). We haven't gotten into the rest of the boxes yet, but expect to find more damage. My suggestion would be get insurance and photos prior to moving your stuff in and after…Jason H. | Overall Experience

It was pouring rain (not their fault, obviously). I got there and the unit (2036) was blocked by a giant truck. When I asked them to move it they said "we have nowhere else to put it". U-haul screwed me up and down all day. (Location 1): My original reservation to store my goods was for an 8x16 at a facility in the Eau Gallie area. That original facility did not even have that size unit on site and all of their largest units were full. They sent me 20 minutes south to Palm Bay (Location 2) where I received a 10x10 unit - a smaller unit than I originally reserved. After packing it as tight as possible and not being able to fit everything, I drove back up north to a family member's home to store the rest of my items. As originally planned, I then went to the conveniently located U-Haul facility around the corner (Location 3) where the drop off my 26' truck was originally scheduled only to learn that the Palm Bay facility (now 25 min back in the other direction) had changed my truck's drop off location without telling. They claimed the truck for their location. (Location 3) Service tech told me they couldn't fit my truck to begin with in their parking lot and to go to the Sarno/Apollo drop off location. (Location 4) I then spent 25 minutes on the phone with customer service to have my drop off location changed without incurring a hefty penalty for "Wrong Drop-Off Location". They were helpful and changed my drop off to Location 4. Upon return of my truck I was chagred $40 for gas because i was a fraction of a needle's width lower than my required fill up level BECAUSE UHAUL HAD ME DRIVING ALL AROUND BREVARD COUNTY. I was just going to forget about it and move on but I've been bombarded with emails every other day asking for a review. Here it is. You burned my entire day and cost me who knows how much money. 0/10 U-Haul has not been cooperative in resolving any disputes prior to me leaving this feedback. I will be loading up another 26' truck and taking it to Jacksonville in 3 weeks. Generous monetary compensation is absolutely deserved after what they put me through but I'm not getting my hopes up.Matthew S. | First Impressions

O couldn't access my storage 6 pm and no one there to help when they was supposed be there until minimum 7 pm. I rented but I didn't use BCZ I could not access my rental store. The wait was a little long, but once I got up to the desk things were set up very quickly. Accessing my storage unit was easy and I love that you have an area to leave donations. I have to say the store owner is a terrible cold hearted human! I understand there are rules and policies to follow but jesus there are times and places where you can bend some rules or even make exceptions. Thankfully the general manager was a bit more understanding. All around the worst experience ive ever had at a uhaul location. Instead of just marking the amount of fuel (in the office) for the truck being picked up, the staff should check the actual gauge along with the client and then mark the form. Trusting staff that they knew the amount of fuel in the truck, as the client, I forgot to check it against what was marked on the form before leaving. The unit had no lock and I was advised of wrong times to access the drive up bay, so while already having a stressful day and putting everything myself & 2 small kids own I'm storage myself, I had a tall man with a mustache rush me out. Anytime I'm there although other people's children are being loud leaving food behind , he finds something to say to my 11 year old daughter.
