I would just recommend that the trucks come with proper straps so that furniture is not all over the place when driving through unpredictable roads and to check the transmissions as the truck I've recieved apparently had minor issues with it half way through the ride. Other than that, the customer service is excellent and professional. Thank you.

Was to be emailed my contract, nothing came. Got the truck with ¼ tank of gas, drove 8 miles round trip. Returned the truck with over the ¼ mark of gas. Waited for 25 minutes for the guy to go check and he did not returned so I left saying I would get an email. Got home nearby and still no email, went back and on seeing me this jerk walked away and told someone else I came for a printed receipt. Took it, got home and see I was charged 7 gallons. I put in over 4 gallons before returning the truck. So in all 11 GALLONS TO GO 8 MILES, what a rip off. Get a printed receipt every-time.

There is a rodent problem and whether they are rats or mice they urinated and defecated all over my stuff and chewed on some of my belongings. Not a lot but some of my stuff had to be thrown away due to the damage they caused. I emailed the manager about this but never received a response.

Nothing comes to mind except gas process. For me, getting it full and filling it when done would have been more precise than guessing how much to put in to get it back to 3/8's of a tank. I spent an extra $5 which isn't a money issue per se but was not really necessary. Plus, if I was in need of a lengthier use, I would have had to spend time at the pump twice because I start not knowing what my mpg may be so I stop early so not to run out and then a second time to get back to the start. Starting full, I only stop to refill at the end.

When I was dropping off the truck I was told by one store representative that I had to pay an additional $50, she told me that she didn't know why and I would have to go inside. Mind you it's the ending of a snow storm, the entrance wasn't cleaned well & I had to walk through snow to get inside. The woman who was returning my vehicle didn't advise the inside rep of what was going on. The lady inside was very rude, the workers were eating at the desk. I waited for like 10-15 minutes for her to say she didn't see an additional charge

I called to the Uhaul main line to make my reservation and the reservation was made wrong. I was supposed to have a one way truck but the lady that made the reservation made it so I had to go back to the location to return the truck which was a major inconvenience. When I got to my reservation locker in totowa they did not have my reservation ready and they took more than 30 min to give me a locker as the sales rep did not have training and delayed my truck return. Over all the Orange location was very understanding about my delay but my experience over all was poor. I had many inconveniences that did not have to happen as I made my reservations the day before and I was clear with the rep about my needs for the move.

I honestly can't think of one thing that would need improvement for the next customer. My customer service experience was great! Knowledgeable staff, fast rental truck setup and booking for units all in one shot. Very clean facility with easy access to loading docks and elevator. Thank you for making this process so easy!

Our experience was excellent from when we called to make the reservation to when we returned the van to when we received the final bill. We found customer service staff to be helpful. It may have helped that our use was very simple - a total of under 50 miles for a local move - but we have nothing bad to say about our rental.

All vehicles MUST be full with fuel. How is anyone supposed to know how much fuel to refill if it is not full to begin with. I was charge $9.21 because it was a little below even though I put in 6 gallons for 50 miles. I was not given a credit when I put in MORE gas than I used in previous rentals. VERY ANGRY!!!

My issue is not with the orange facility. It's Uhaul in hey. I was sent 10 miles out of the way to get the vehicle but your service rep on phone wouldn't give me the extra 10+ miles it took just me just to get to my starting point. I was only allocated the original miles that were granted for the pickup location near my house

The employees were professional. The van was in great shape. My only quibble was all the add on taxes, costs. I expect to pay for a gallon of gas. They told me this, but there were all these little add ons. I understand them. Just tell people ahead of time. Thanks.

I had the worst experience I ever had with any business in my life. 1st of I reserved a 26' ft truck in bk at 394 4 ave in brooklyn n.y the cashier was obnoxiously rude and unhelpful when I get there I get a call from someone from u-haul to go to n.j they have my truck at 225 Scotland rd in orange n.j when I get there they gave away my truck to someone because i was in brooklyn picking up my truck at 5 pm than because i didn't get to n.j by 5 pm they gave my truck away and they also said that i couldn't do a one way rental I have to bring the truck back if I wanted a truck I live like 40 miles from the rental location. I'm done it pushing me off just to write this.

I did not like my drivers license front and back photographed by worker with a cell phone. Also, I was told a second phone number needed for emergency use only and UHaul employee immediately called phone number and told person what I was doing. In fact worker ruined my surprise. No privacy by UHaul. I am sharing my experience on social media. Please update privacy policy and or make sweeping changes.

Horrible experience. Scheduled to pick up in Florham Park (5 min from house) but last minute was rescheduled for Orange (35 min and through the city and tight snow covered streets). For a logistics company they sure can't do their 1 job right.... The same happened to my brother in law two weeks ago. I should have learned from his horrible experience. The truck I was given had a sever exhaust leak. The pipe was broken right behind the cab of the truck. You could actually see the leak between the cab and body. I asked for a different truck and was told they were all booked for the day. There is no way that someone at the facility did not hear the sound of the broken exhaust when prepping the truck for rental! I had to listen to that horrific sound for hours!!!! And deal with lack of power going up hills. This really made a cold winters day move even more frustrating. I've been renting trucks from uhaul for years, and I've never been issued a vehicle in this condition! I will update my review after contacting customer service.

Thank you, prior to my hardship there was a very pleasant beautiful young lady customer service by the name of Dennette, Due to losing my job, there was a month I counldn't make my payment on time. After explaining my situation to Ms. Dennette she assured me I can make my payments the next month, just make sure both payments were made before the month end. That help me tremendously. When i initially reserved a truck i specifically stated i needed a truck that i could drop at another location as opposed to returning it to where id pick it up. I was moving out of state so that made the most sense. I confirmed with the agent that i could drop the trick at another location in nj...perfect. Three days prior to my pick up date i received a call from uhaul confirming the reservation; however; i had to return the truck to ny! And instead of my flat rate id now be charged per mile!!! I explained to the agent that this was not was reserved and he said sorry cant help thats all we have blah blah. So instead of a rate of i think it was $139? I ended up with a $222 bill.,,almost $100 more!!! Completely unacceptable and the agent was not willing to work with me at all. When i returned the truck to the original location the agent there informed me if i got a bigger truck it would have been one way only...a15” as opposed to a 10”....this was never offered to me as an option when i was told ‘there’s no availability to drop off the truck at another location’....complete scam! Truly thought uhaul had a better reputation...lesson learnt....never again!

We were given an access code by a staff member at 5:15pm on 6/11/20. Upon arrival to the facility around 11pm, after a 4 hour drive from Maryland, we tried the access code, which failed with an error message "not checked in". We called Jonathan, who understandably didn't pick up at such hours, as well as the 1800 #. We spoke to two people- the personnel from corporate apologized for the misinformation and poor communication by the staff member at this location however she was unable to provide us access into the storage facility and she mentioned we were not authorized after hours access. This was puzzling as we were specifically told we would have after hours access BY THE PERSON WHO CALLED ME at 5:15pm. I did not seek this information, it was voluntarily handed to me. So instead of loading everything from the uhaul truck rental, to the storage unit, we had to drive to our parents home, in queens, NY, adding more miles to the truck rental, increasing cost of travel, and extending the amount of time this move was supposed to take, which is all unacceptable by such a reputable company during such difficult times. We will return tomorrow in order to move in on June 12, 2020. This doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of our experience thus far.
