They tell you can that you can access your storage till 10 but really it's till 5 then the qr code for extended hours doesn't work and when you try to call the general manager she'll just ignore your calls till she blocks you and when you let her know you're going to file a complaint she'll evict you even if you just paid rent 5 days ago and she won't give you a refund but she will put a past due payment lock on your unit even though it's up to date worse experience I've ever had and I'll be sure to let everyone I know about how awful it was and how poorly Sierra Kennedy does her jobFelipe G. | Overall Experience
The Ogden location for the truck rental return and auto carrier trailer return was a horrible experience!!! The women that work at the Ogden location and especially the young red haired woman was not friendly at all and acted as though she was totally put out to help with equipment return. She was not helpful and was the most rude person I have ever met. My son n law and my daughter and I could not believe the extreme rudeness and poor customer service I received at the Ogden UT location. The thin red haired woman and the other also red head gave me no eye contact. Did not want to help and blew me off as if I was invisible. Note: I was very nice and could not understand why being treated so badly. It was not my fault that a bad undersized truck was made available to rent and travel Out of State. The truck had mechanical issues that my son n law pointed out in a very nice way. It was also not my fault that the store in AZ let the wrong auto carrier trailer be connected to the moving truck to go to Utah. I am upset and should be but not once was I ever mean, raise my voice, or treat any of U-Hauls personnel badly. The personnel working at the AZ store were very nice but had no clue or idea where my reserved truck was located. The women personnel at the Utah location were extremely nasty and should be fired or at least reprimanded! All my previous past U-Haul rentals were great with great Ogden personnel help. What has happened to go from great to extremely Bad personnel help or actually not really any help at all with this most recent move??????KAREN K.

I think one thing I'd improve, is to help untie cars from the trailers. Like ok that customers have to drive it down. But to remove straps, chains, ... I think it should be included in Uhaul service. The person was trying to show it to me and she couldn't even unleash the strap herself, so it's a little strange to ask customers to do it when even associates have troubles doing it ? Otherwise, very helpful and nice staff at the counter !Thomas L.

The ladies helping us were anything but helpful. We called ahead and told them we would be late. They called us to ask us when we would arrive and I was probably 2 minutes out and told her I had called earlier to tel then we were going to be late. She explained she was not told that information. When we got to uhaul the other person helping us said â€œugh those people said they were only going to be 15 minutes lateâ€. She didn't realize we were â€œthoseâ€ people that had called in. But I never said ide only be 15 minutes late either as we were held up on our first errand. We were charged 200+ more than what we were quoted. I cancelled another truck rental because I thought you guys beat there quite but that was a straight up lie. I was informed if we rented a storage unit with uhaul the first month would be free. When I asked about that the girls said â€œo ya you need to take care of thatâ€ Well why doesn't your employees have that ability to help us with that? So I asked them to have the truck returned to a location that rents the storage units so we could arrange that. They had the truck returned to a location that does not rent storage units. I had to call around and find a location that rents storage units. My husband got to the storage unit at 6 pm and had one hour to unload before they kicked him out so he had stuff in the uhaul truck over night. Overall our experience sucked and those helping us were rude and unprofessional and couldn't even direct us in the correct locations or to the correct people to help.KEVIN W.

The guys that did the original pickup was great. My move had to be extended so I called to extend it another day. Right before we were done getting everything in the unit my son had a emergency and had to leave. Problem he was my driver. I'm in a wheelchair so that left me without a driver. I called and was told they don't pickup trucks; then hung-up on me. I called back and waited over 20 minutes and got the manager and she immediately said you need to have us pick up the truck. I told her yes. When they got there she stated, by the way there is a $200 transport fee. Then she got into her car. Emergencies happen, I started calling uhaul over an hour before the truck was do back so I wasn't charged for another day. There is a difference between a true emergency and just not bringing back the truck. My $120 rental w/gas went up to $449. The manager is rude, cruit.MELINDA T.

Terrible. Booked online and was called to be told that someone at the store gave the truck to another person and nothing was done to have it resolved. I had to convince the employee to rent me a truck half the size. She offered to let me have it for an extra day and said the miles would be covered. When I went to pay, the person checking me out said the notes didn't reflect those changes and they tried to charge me the full amount. Terrible service. Terrible communication. I rented a tow dolly, one of the wheel straps was pulled out of the ratchet and extremely frayed. It took me a couple minutes to get it fished through. Secondly I brought the dolly back 3 plus hours before my allotted time was up, I was told at the drop of bay I had brought it back on time and didn't owe anything extra. The next day I open my bank app to see I had been charged for an after hours drop off! It needed to be back by 5:30 pm and I had dropped it off around 2:00pm. I received the absolute worst service from Erik Simmons. The man was rolling his eyes and shrugging his shoulders and being indignant towards me despite being a returning paying customer. Mr. Simmons and I were in disagreement about existing damage to a rental truck which he was trying to place blame on me. When I asked to see a picture of the truck prior to me renting it , Mr. Simmons showed me a picture of a completely different truck ! How do I know ? Because the truck I rented has a serial number painted on the truck just above the drivers seat. Mr. Simmons told me the picture was taken on June 18th , 2021. However there was no serial number on the truck he showed me despite claiming the truck had been at that facility for 3 or more years now. I asked Mr. Simmons for contact information and how to begin the process to dispute the damage, he responded by calling the police and describing me as a threatening black man with gold chains and tattoos ! When the cops arrived , they told me I had every right to try to collect that information. Being reduced to negative stereotypical attributes and having the cops called on me for wanting a corporate email is not the service I was looking to receive from Store #720055marcel p. | Overall Experience

I didn't have a good experience via phone with representatives prior to move in. They lacked customer service skills and technical communication skills. When I started to ask about my storage unit I was hung up on. I believed the first unit I booked to be online move-in accessible, but I ended up not being able to use the online process for that unit, so I ended up booking a different one. This took a significant amount of time to figure out and disrupted my moving schedule. I also ended up getting charged for the first month despite the deal running for first month free if also booking a u-haul truck. Over all my experience and time with the storage unit was great. The only issue I had was when I had gone in to tell them that I was done with the unit. I had to wait over 20 minutes and at that point I was frustrated and finally left. There was one guy working hard to help a customer in one line. In there other line there was an older woman who was being helped by a clerk and for some reason another staff member was standing there watching that interaction who once looked up and said we will be right with you. There was one guy on the phone helping another customer. Two staff members where just walking around behind the desk. In line there was me and one other guy behind me. After waiting for so long I just polightly asked if I had to stay there or if I could just call in later to close out my account. For three days I tried to call and got looped around the phone system and never actully talked to someone. i rented a unit for $54+ from a helpful young lady, left the facility and returned home. Then I realised that the Unit I had chosen in the facility would not be suitable. I tried to rearrange the unit over the phone, the young lady advised me that she was unable to see what was available and what was not. Consequently I returned a little later to the facility to rearrange the rental and the female customer service rep, Carol, was little more than unpleasant. She was rude, curt and unhelpful. She claimed that the price I had been quoted in the morning of $59+, and that was also listed on the website, was not the price of the unit I requested in place of the original one. She claimed that it was $69+ and had always been that price. She offered no explanation for the price hike of $10, other than that it was the original price. I left and immediately found another provider, with a site manager who has had some customer service training and knows how to employ it. I am happily ensconced at that site Bad choice of employee, U-Haul. I will not return to your facility for any service or product. I made a reservation. Had a reservation confirmation, and when I went to move in, I was told the reservation meant nothing because there weren't any spaces available. I was told it was first come, first serve which I thought the reservation would help with. It didn't. Fortunately, on the day I needed the spot, one did become available and they contacted me and offered it to me, which i appreciate. The manager Ms. Kennedy is one of the most unprofessional rude people I've EVER encountered at a Uhaul. She also took it upon herself to close use for customers to use the restrooms, stating," I'm tired of putting toilet paper in and having it go missing!" So, with all the money we customers pay she first put a keypad outside each bathroom, then closed the bathrooms with a sign. I think there are laws she's breaking and secondly she doesn't own this Uhaul. She also treats customers rudely, she is not a good representative of Uhaul and I hope they replace her.
