Yall are the best. I would loose my debit card and forget to update the auto pay and this facility would always give me reminders and normally not charge late fees. I actually forgot to pay for a few months because I was out at sea and they let me pay when I got back. Great customer service and just an over all great experience at oceanside uhaul. I'm lucky there was a knowledgeable Uhaul rep to fix the mess for my reservation in your system. She had to start the reservation from scratch. Your system's problems wasted 30 minutes of my time but at least I got the truck I had reserved. If this survey had a question about the ease of renting it would have received the lowest possible rating. I said the truck was not clean because the cup holders and other holders had not been cleaned and were grimy. The rest of the truck was in good shape.ROBERTECKLER T.

The 26 ft truck we picked up had a broken gas nozzle in the gas tank entrance. We had to call u-haul road service for a service truck to help. He had to remove the gas sensor in order for us to fill up the truck which we were 35 miies out of town. This delayed us by 2 hours and we ended up un-loading our items in the dark.Richard S.

I understand that good customer service is a skill and an art and easier to discuss than actually perform consistently. The man over the phone who I set the reservation with was outstanding! Friendly, responsive, and seemed like he enjoyed his job. But the man at the front counter the day I picked up the rental was curt, strictly business, and I felt like I was disrupting his efficiency or in his way. He was impatient and seemed like he didn't like his job or like dealing with people. He could have been having a bad day at 8:30am on a Saturday or..., needs more training, or... The other guys outside with the trucks were great!Richard B.

This review also applies to Uhaul in Escondido. We originally had an appointment in Escondido for hitch installation on 11/23 (Tuesday) so that we could rent a trailer and move that Saturday. Also, you are required to prepay the entire amount. We showed up at our appointment time and they said the parts were still in Arizona. They waited to tell us until we showed up instead of calling us ahead of time. They said they would overnight it and install it Thursday morning, we got a call Wednesday night that they still didn't have the parts but would call when they did. So we had to rent a truck to move on Saturday which was more expensive than a trailer would have been. Then I didn't hear anything for over TWO WEEKS, not even a call to say they still didn't have the parts but we haven't been forgotten about (again, we've already paid and have received nothing and no communication.) I call on Friday 12/3 and I'm told I will hear back from a manager within an hour. Again no call for days. I call back on Tuesday 12/7 and they patch me through to the store where I'm told they were "just about to call me because they just got the hitch parts." We have already moved at this point so I request for the parts to be moved to Oceanside and they agree to this accommodation. I drop the car off to my appointment Friday 12/10 at 1:30pm and they are going to call me when it is ready. I never get a call and they keep my car overnight without ever calling to ask if that is okay or letting me know if it is ready or not. When I tried to call it was going to be a 30-40 minute wait to talk to an off site customer service rep. I call this morning at 9am and the store calls me while I'm waiting on a call back from customer service to tell me that the car has been ready since yesterday. I said no one called and they said "sorry about that." I'm giving two stars instead of one only because it seems the hitch installation is fine (at this point it will be a few months before we use it) and I expect it to work. However, the customer service was unacceptable at best and mostly non existent.Arin K.

Do something about your General Manager - ROBERT WALSH - . He was RUDE and condescending to me when I arrived and throughout the process. I do not know why anyone rents from this U-Haul location if he is the example of service. I will not use this location again. Based on comments I made to others at that location, my experience is not unique - apparently it is known he is bad with customers so it is not his issue but U-Haul Management's issue for not making an improvement to a known bad customer service situation.Jonathan S.

The first trailer I got had mostly severed wires so as I drove away it was intermittently disconnecting. Had to go back and swap out for another one, which are into my usage time. I rented the trailer for 24 hours, but needed it a little longer. I returned it half way through the second day but was charged for a whole second day. I asked why I wasn't just charged an hourly additional rate but was given a shoulder shrug and told that there's nothing they can do. Since the trailer can be rented by the hour it makes no sense that I should be charged by the day for additional time. All in all the customer service on site was good. The people were friendly, but the policy of how to charge for usage was ridiculous.joshua A.

The trailer I rented seemed to have trouble staying connected to the truck so the running lights would flicker on and off during the duration of my trip. Which was over 1,000 miles. I ended up duct taping the connection part to the truck in hopes it'd stay on.ANTHONY B.

The worker Robert needs to be fired. I was given a storage by another worker, which all went smoothly, then I asked to pay the following month as well, and was paying cash.
