The staff was friendly and helpful and the facility was very nice & clean. However, the location didn't have the unit size I had reserved weeks in advance. They offered a larger unit with one free month, but this still resulted in a higher cost for me. So, I would end up paying for the company's failure. Due to my time constraints, I went ahead with the rental, in spite pf the additional cost. But while being shown my rented unit, I asked for the access code and was told that the unit was accessible only during business hours. This meant closing at 8:00pm, rather than the 10:00pm advertised online. This made the unit useless to me, as it wouldn't work with my schedule. Consequently, I had to find another storage facility and incur additional costs, not to mention wasting more time. All this due to U-haul's failure to provide the reserved product and honor the advertised hours. While the staff was friendly and the facility well maintained, U-haul failed the basics: providing the advertised product. No amount of friendliness can compensate for misleading advertisement.arturo s. | First Impressions

The online way to check in and out were not easy, a pain, actually. I still had to wait in line. The staff was awesome, though. When I dropped off, the guy took the key, thanked me and said he'd email my receipt. Later that day when I was checking my emails it said if I didn't take pictures that I'd be charged 20$ for them to inspect the vehicle. I haven't been charged yet, but if I am I'll be MAD! In terms of the equipment and location everything was excellent. What is an excellent is your reservation system sending me to a location that doesn't have the equipment. Only to find out that the equipment I need is another 30 miles away. Upon returning equipment after hours I was told I could use the app at u-haul.com . This application to summit up in one word â€œsucksâ€ it goes to a series of questions about the equipment which I understand. Then it asked to take a picture of the location of the equipment you just returned. When it switch the photo on my iOS phone it would not access the camera. It would not allow me to upload a picture to your site and I could not move past that point in the application. I think your IT department needs to do a little more work on your reservation system and your return system it really put a negative mark in my mind about U-Haul.MICHAEL K.

The automatic check-in and check-out is time consuming and confusing; way too many pictures to take and different things to do. The check-out was ridiculous. The location finder had to be unlocked, following a bunch of steps; very confusing. Then taking and downloading all those pictures in the cold was no fun, especially opening the back up again to take the back picture. Then after freezing to download all the pictures, the system crashed and didn't work. The key deposit slot was also very hard to find. Then I was charged a late fee because the system crashed and had to call to get it refunded. Overall the check in needs to be streamlined and more consumer friendly.MARY J.
Your app suck so incredibly bad. It kept telling me I didn't have enough memory available (checked--if 1.5 GB isn't enough, there is a freaking issue with the app!) It is also infuriating to try to get a truck contact-free and have to enter to store three times because of the app. The Sinclair Road location is wonderful. The clerk was kind and patient. The van was impeccable. The app made me scream curse words in the parking lot. Do better.Elizabeth V.

Make the self verification work. We had to do it 3 full times before it actually let us submit it. No information about what to do or where to leave truck and key when dropping off after hours. Also, if you're pinpad doesn't take debit cards and you have to type it in manually, TELL YOUR CUSTOMERS THAT.SHAWN B.
