The Uhaul Dyer location in El Paso had an available spot for me to store my belongings in a hurry. I was able to book same day storage and the front desk crew was very helpful in explaining the agreement, showing me on a map where my unit was located, and offered advice on the proper way to secure my storage unit. My original reservation was for a 26 foot truck set to be picked up using the 24/7 option at a different location. However my reservation never showed in the app. We arrived at the original location and it was closed and we were unable to pick up our truck. I stayed on hold with the 24 hour line for 38 minutes with no answer. My wife finally called an actual u haul store and they were able to switch our reservation to their location. This mishap caused us to be late all day. I will most likely use uhaul again, however I will never book online again because instead of being effortless as advertised it was a hassle that created way more stress than it was worth.JONATHAN J.

If I can recommend. If a person makes an online reservation please make sure the vehicle is ready. I went in, the service was good. People are polite but as the contract was being prepared I was told there was â€œ no gasâ€ in the truck and they asked me if I didn't mind putting gas and I would receive a credit. I didn't mind at all. Then they went to get the keys. Well I was waiting outside for 10 minutes didn't see anyone pull up I then went inside and when I went inside the rep tells me there was an issue. The truck I reserved is not at location there was a mix up online information and location BUT I am being upgraded with another bigger truck for the same price. I'm thinking I never agreed to the â€œupgradeâ€ but ok. The rep was making the contract while I'm waiting outside for my reserved truck. I also ask if I'll be given the 50 offered online for the â€œreservation guaranteeâ€ so the rep tells me to wait for the manager. The manager tells me I will not receive it because he offered a solution. I'm being upgraded to a bigger truck with no extra cost and told me â€œ I assume you need the truckâ€ I was given the keys. Didn't know where this â€œupgradedâ€ truck was at in the parking lot. I found it with the new contract paper work. I guess they don't have to pull up the truck for you. Wasted timeFRANCISCA Q.

The vehicle was clean, however, the cabin of the truck had a very strong odor of cigarette smoke that probably should have been taken care of prior to releasing the truck. I'm not a smoker so the smell was obvious and bothersome.JOSE JR M.

An online reservation was made on the 22nd of July online for the 31st of July from 0900-1700. When I arrived to the store, I was told I was double booked and that the person that made the in-store reservation took priority. I was told I could come back at 1345 to pick up the vehicle, but it had to be returned at 1700. When I arrived at 1345, I was told the vehicle was almost ready. When I asked about the $50 guarantee that was stated on the website for availability, I was told I had to do the full price rental first, then would get a voucher for $50 to use at Uhaul. I did not get the keys to the vehicle until roughly 1415, leaving me with 2 hours and 45 minutes when I had originally asked for 8 hours of time, and I paid the same price for those less than 3 hours that I would have for 8 hours. If I ever have to use another truck rental, I will be sure to be checking elsewhere.JEFFREY K.

The trailer seemed to bounce on the hitch when I slowed down, stopped, or started. It was a very unsettling experience. The trailer settled down once it was loaded with most of the weight loaded toward the front. I reported the problem to the employee who checked it out when I delivered the trailer to Albuquerque. He told me that it appears the employee in El Paso did not tighten the hitch and left it loose on the hitch ball. Thank God the trailer didn't disconnect that could have been catastrophic..John K.

Mark, at front desk, is friendly and courteous. The check out process was clearly explained. Upon returning the vehicle, the return wasn't as smooth, but the customer service counter employee attempted to improve after realizing that he was not being as helpful as he could be. My unit was not properly sealed. As a result everything was covered in dirt. The staff was rude and seemed annoyed with having to do anything. Their were two employees that were pleasant but the manager especially infuriated me as he found it a good idea to play tough guy with me on my concern with my move out. Instead he came in and said do we have a problem! Instead of asking me what my concern was and how he could help me. Then he tried to justify his actions with my 84 year old father who also was not impressed with his way of his way of handling the situation. After this I decided it was not worth arguing with him and told him to stop talking and just close out my account. He then told me he could just just make me leave at which point I told him I would leave when my account was closed. His response was do you have an email to send me the receipt at which point I told him to just print the receipt and he said " you know what I am out of paper so you will just have to give me your email" I told him the go and get some "explitve" paper because I am not leaving here without a receipt! Low and behold the printer magically had paper in it and he printed it and I left. This was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had and I admit I was not kind to the manager throughout our interaction due to the way he came in and spoke to me and my father but if he would have handled it in a better way I would have left and probably just left it alone. Instead he chose a very poor path and as a result it is ending with not one but two very poor reviews on every possible site we can find to post a review on. And to everyone we know. This is not a reflection on All U-haul facilities as I have had many. But this location is very Poorly run.Rodney B. | Overall Experience
