Not being able to access storage facility that isn't staffed was always an issue. Having to go through the national telephone number to get local office was also a big issue and concern. There was no one at the office to check us in. We called customers service only to wait on the line for 44 minutes and then be told that there was someone there when the office was closed. Very poor service and terrible time getting help when needed. The delay totally ruined our travel time and next commitment. I would not recommend UHaul at Church street New Bedford, MALinda h. | First Impressions
We were completely mislead. We reserved a 10 X 15 only to find out that none are available at that location. When we reserved they did not tell us that we had to go to a different location to do the paperwork and get the unit number and access code. The young man who waited on us at Mt. Pleasant st. The entire staff needs to have better knowledge of the Ubox service you provide. My nightmare experience started with a click of a wrong button from employee , clicking long term storage instead of shipping it where I was moving too. This started a chain reaction of me being inconvenienced , waiting on hold multiple times for over an hour to reach someone, only to be told they don't know how to change that, or giving me quotes that is 300% more then the original quote. In the end my Ubox was 6 days late, employees seemed to not care and I was the one in the middle of a move cross country where the stress is suppose to be taken away by doing this system, I had to worry about my stuff still sitting in New Bedford while I was already In Texas and no one could tell me a date it would ship as it changed from July 17, to 18, 19, 20, 21 ,22 and so on and so on. Overall very dissatisfied. Bad customer service from Uhaul.Daniel D.

The local movers in both locations, Virginia Beach and Massachusetts were wonderful. Both uhaul locations were a mess. For both places they gave the movers a hard time about getting our boxes and I had to call uhaul to resolve it. The New Bedford location was the worst. The close at 3pm. Because of them not wanting to release the boxes to the movers we were not going to be able to get all of our stuff. The woman I spoke with about the issue started off telling me I needed to verify my payment info. That's not a good way to start a customer call who's having an issue. She seemed like it was no big deal that we'd have to wait for the rest of our things. The local movers worked so hard and were somehow able to get us all of our belongings in one day. We will never use uhaul again because they made an already stressful military move even worse and the didn't seem to care at all.Katie D.

The front half of the rental including loading in FL was good. The back end in MA was abysmal. I scheduled pick up on Saturday 6/12 at noon and got a call to confirm, I arrived after an hour ride and was told they could not find the U-Boxes. Then I was told they were shipped to Maine (ME). I told the assistant manager I would pick them up the following Saturday (6/19). When I called to confirm pickup I was told I could not pick them up until Monday, but I work on Mondays so I arranged for pickup the next Saturday (6/26). During the week I was then assessed an $85.00 rental charge per U-Box. Extra fees charged on top of lost boxes and multiple trips to pickup left me less than impressed.Ralph B.
When I made the reservation it did not say I had to go to a different location to get the keys. When I went to get the keys I was told the units were still being built and were not available. After talking to the manager she sent someone to "do the walls" so that I could move in. When I got there the unit wasn't even numbered. I waited nearly an hour at the unit for the person who was supposed to be doing something with the walls to come and tape a paper sign with hand written number in it. I was so disappointed with the experience. Also, in regards to cleanliness, there was a pair of men's underwear and what appeared to be a sex toy as soon as you walk in on the ground. Also, to talk to anyone on the phone is a 30 minute hold time.teresa k. | First Impressions

Your site provides an option for either counter pick up OR mobile pick up, but this is not the case. There is no counter at this location. If you update your website, you should be able to resolve this.Scott M.
Telephone contact is horrendous! Never can reach a location, always forwarded to call centers. Wait time on hole often in excess of 1-2 hours! Calls often lost. Had to contact corporate directly numerous times snd often only the location could answer the questions. Worst customer service on contact of any vendor I have ever used! You can do so much better. Come on.David M.
The staff on both ends of the process were very accodmmodating. I needed pickup in one day after receiving U-Box and they were there, it was the week of Thanksgiving so very busy I assume. Thanks great job.Mitchell Z.

The drop off at my original location went pretty well and communication was great. The driver did damage the power lines at my mother's house, and left large divots in the grass, which also happened last time I used U-Boxes. From the time my boxes were picked up and finally delivered to my new home across the country, communication was terrible. I was not informed of anything. My boxes shipped and arrived almost two weeks later than guaranteed, and I was not informed or made aware of this at any time, only by checking my online account. I tried to contact them numerous times. I got a 4 minute long voicemail from a â€œmanager on dutyâ€ basically saying that things happen and they can't always guarantee arrival on time, and told me to call somebody else to find out where my boxes were. I could never reach the person she told me to call. But, they shouldn't guarantee an arrival by a certain date, and state that they will offer a $50 refund per day that the boxes are late, if they aren't going to uphold that promise. I have tried to speak to someone about this and it is never the right person - I am always told to call someone else. It has been about a week since my boxes were delivered now, and I still have not been able to reach anyone. The fact is that I would have used a different service which was more reliable if I knew my boxes would have arrived so late and I would have been treated so poorly by everyone at this company.Christina M.
The on-line check in process took much too long, and was not well defined by Uhaul. It should allow you to upload your license and input back up contacts 24 hours before pick up time. Took me 30 minutes on the website while sitting next to the truck before I was able to access the keys and drive the truck away.Conor G.
