Need to improve the mobile app. When I tried to pick up my vehicle the customer service rep asked me to upload my driver's license. I was unable to do so. Made me try 3-4 times. He finally agreed to help upload my license after seeing me struggle. Was a nice guy though. Then when returning my vehicle the same issue pops up. I'm unable to return the vehicle, and the app says I have to wait over an hour before I can get ahold of an agent. There's no option to leave notes for app malfunctions after the rental, which honestly needs to be fixed, so then I'm not charged for a service charge. I've made a dispute weeks ago, and I've yet to hear anything about my case. Wish my dispute would be addressed in a more timely response than having to write this review for potential customers to see.

New self-service checking/checkout is too long of a process and not friendly to navegate. Uhaul should minimize the number of steps and improve on site assist which is not easy to obtain!

My experience with checking in with your online set up was horrible. It was 105 degrees and I could not get anyone to confirm my information for more than 20 minutes. And when I approached the employees at the location I was told they can't do anything to help. I just think you need to improve your online service, the location has absolutely no problems.

A few months ago we rented a small truck for moving and we had no problem picking it up from the service desk. We called on the phone, stopped in, a representative helped us, and we were done, truck in hand in less than 20 minutes. Then last week we needed to rent a truck again for moving. We booked it online, and it gave us the option to do "counter pickup" or "mobile pickup." We selected "counter pickup." when we arrived on 8/20/2022 and went to the counter the representative pointed to a poster and told us to follow the mobile app. We were surprised and asked him to take care of us. He said "We can't do that anymore, you need to do it yourself." We told him we were there just a couple of months prior and a representative helped us, and we asked him to help us. He told us the NEW policy is that the customers have to do it. So upsettingly, we started going through all the steps, had questions along the way, not knowing exactly what to click on, or where stuff is. Frustrated by the process. We did not arrive to UHAUIL expecting SELF SERVICE, for the same price as we rented prior for CUSTOMER SERVICE. We are very upset by what happened. My girlfriend and I were both annoyed that there is literally NO MORE CUSTOMER SERVICE. We got a truck, but this is not what I expected. It required a username, password, all of which were on my HOME LAPTOP, not my CELL PHONE. And no one told me, when booking, that I would need this information. So I had to reset passwords, and waste precious time doing it through the mobile site. Whereas just 2 months prior, a HUMAN would interact, and help us complete the process with less headache. This is ridiculous. Both my girlfriend and I are in our 30s, and we know how to use mobile devices, but we expected a HUMAN to help us. Further, why does the website when you are booking give you an option, when really you DO NOT HAVE AN OPTION. It should say "ONLY MOBILE PICKUP AVAILABLE." Very frustrated. Very unfriendly. I expected to book online, arrive, give you my credit card, drivers license, and you do the rest, give me the keys to the truck. Like I would with a car rental. That is not at all what happened. This is not CUSTOMER SERVICE, this is SELF SERVICE. FOR THE SAME PRICE AS CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'm doing the work! I should pay less. This is also discriminatory for people who don't have good English, or can't operate technology very well. And for people who don't have good cell phone service. It's hard to see the screen with good eyes when you are outside! Even less so for others with worse vision. Or when Someone else is doing the booking for you, like a friend or family member who helped the process, but is not there in person to retrieve their password. For people who want SELF SERICE, ok, let them. But we want CUSTOMER SERVICE. RIDICULOUS, VERY UNHAPPY.

Stop with the need for iPhone to rent your equipment. The humans in the location are able to handle the job. Sick of fooling around trying to get a response by iPhone. You need a course in how to use your equipment to be able to rent something. This sucks. If you continue with this BS, I'll try other rental agencies first.

The gas tank being kept at 1/2 is bad. When we return the vehicle and have to fill up the tank, it's easy to go past 1/2 a tank, so cutomers wind up paying more for gas than is needed.

While it might seem that reserving a truck, picking up, and returning a truck by phone might be efficient and faster but I found it confusing and cumbersome. I'm a tech savvy person and still found it difficult. I wouldn't recommend that experience to anyone. The positive thing about it is being able to drop off the vehicle after hours.

I am so sick and tired of having to approve and issue my own equipment. And when the dolly I had purchased was not ready in my rental, and the app told me to head back inside to find customer service, they weren't there so I just took one. Everything is backwards thanks to this stupid online process that wastes my time when I need to get to work.

Truck alignment was horrible, should not have been rented out at all. Employees were no help with the return. Just talked amongst each other while we had to do the return ourselves. Even when we had trouble we were just referred to checking the website. Awful customer service and over priced for a few hours of rental. Will be looking to use a competitor in the future

UHaul first canceled my original truck rental with no compensation or even apology. This reservation was made for a different location, but again I received a call saying I had to go to another location. I opted for counter rental only to be told in the store I had to use the online services, which did not work. It took me nearly an hour to get checked out with the truck, which seriously cut into my time. When I returned the truck, I was unable to take proper photos because the service message for tires was on and the mileage was not displayed long enough for the fuel gauge to come all the way up. The person I worked with to rent the truck was very helpful, but the technology was not working well for him either. This will be my last rental with UHaul, there are better options even if they are more expensive. I would rather pay the money than deal with the hassle.

The people and equipment at this location were great. No problems. Only problem was the horrible idea of having to download the stupid U-Haul app to be able to process my order. I have old phone, I'm not a 12 year old kid doing this all day, limited memory, and even if I did, I think being forced to download something to do business with U Haul makes the company a first class A-hole. I will not do it. If U haul requires this, then I will go elsewhere to rent. Fire the newly minted MBA that thought this was a good idea.

Your insistence on a cell phone return is ridiculous. Give the customer an option and explain the process BEFORE a customer leaves. I needed help returning the rig, forgot to return the key (nobody asked, either) and had to return again wasting 40 minutes. Night running lights on trailer didn't work, fortunately didn't need to use it at night. They were not checked when i picked up the rig, guess they assumed it would be ok. Have rented here before and their equipment is in good shape, this was an anomaly.

You should still have old fashion rental. Meaning people that use apps like apps. People that don't like apps and cell phones. Should still be able to go into the store and rent hassle free. We did have some issues but had nothing to do with company. The number on the truck couldn't find it should had been waiting for us to pick it up wasn't at the lot So they gave us another truck number that we located the truck we've been told to go to lock box number 8 but there was only up to 6 number. So we emailed them back they gave us another location that was 3 miles away we went there looking for lock box did not see it so we left afterward we knew that the lock box was on the truck.we contacted back again to say we're going back to our original location but now we been told the truck that we saw was reserved. Since the switched us the location. To make it short than they sent us to another location 4 miles away and finally we got the truck the girl that helped me was superb. Just to note this ordeal happened at 7:00am on Sunday and they open at 9:00 am. With all thing happened I like U-Haul

I understand U-Haul has a new system in place for checking in, but nothing was working when trying all methods to get my iPhone to recognize the location (everything was tried). I asked the girl at the front desk to check me in, the first time she said she could not do it because Corp wanted customers to get used to the new system. When I asked what then am I supposed to do, she finally said "OK I guess I'll just do it, even if I get in trouble". This is UNACCEPTABLE!! Terrible customer service. Should never make a customer feel like the burden is on them just because U-Haul has a new system? Plus, clearly the system has issues as we tried everything to get the location services to work. You should fix this bug in your app and allow the user to manually add the location by zip code with a pop up menu to choose the location they are renting from. I wasted an extra 30 minutes of my time on this which added additional expenses I had to pay to the movers that were waiting on me with the truck.

Our guy was very helpful and service minded. Our truck wasn't available, the person before was 2 hours late. We got a smaller truck which ended up being bad for us, we had to make two runs but it has nothing to do with your staff. Either way, whoever we dealt with was extremely pleasant, quick and got us taken care of. He was also flexible when we were late returning our truck.

The young lady behind the counter was very aloof and was busy with her cell phone messaging friends rather than wanting to assist us. When I asked her for her for assistance, she kept on ignoring my request and kept going back to her phone. When I mentioned it to her that it's not ok to behave the way she was acting she just walked away.

It was frustrating having to do the online part, It felt SLOWER than when the person at the desk helps to rent the uhaul. I had already started the process at home but then at home it froze several times. Then in person at uhaul I was able to complete the process, but then for some reason, after I added one contact's information to confirm me, the person made me put in a SECOND person's contact information. Why? It wasted time and all it was, was a phone call confirming to them that I was renting a uhaul. It seemed so pointless and wasted 30 min of my time. So I had scheduled for pick up at 0900, but didn't get the truck until 0930, and I had put that I would return by 1400, but because it took 30 min to do the setup, I believe they should have added 30 min to my drop back off time to 1430. THANKFULLY I actually was able to finish BEFORE 1400 anywas, but it added stress and rushing in my head that I was going to be late. Other than that, I really appreciate the uhaul girl with the longer hair, I don't know her name, she is so knowledgeable and is able to hook up and put things together and is on top of things. She's great at her job!

I ordered a 10x10, it kept showing up online as a 5x5x8. Once I arrived in California, only half of my stuff could fit. I had to drive 17 miles to my cousin's to store the rest. Your staff was no help at all and the girl up front acted like I was inconveniencing her. It wasn't until the next day when I returned my truck, that Stephanie was the only one extremely professional, knowledgeable and compassionate.

The facility was clean but I didn't Notice that there was a Very Large Rodent Trap inside the Unit upon first Viewing it because the Employee was covering the space where it was sitting. I was very Surprised when I started Unloading my Items. I wanted to go and cancel the move- In but I really needed to store my things. We'll see how the first month goes fingers crossed 爛.

I actually moved out on 7-24-2020 before the next monthly billing cycle and left the door open. I used your rental truck to remove my property. See contract in your system. I only used the truck for a few hours. Thank you for your clean an efficient facility and helpful staff.
