Staff appear to be confused at how to handle customers utilizing the mobile pick-up and drop-off. The mobile process is lengthy and could be improved by having fewer steps at the physical pick-up/drop-off location. The staff member who handled my drop-off was particularly unpleasant to deal with. He pointed out that he could have charged me a cleaning fee for a negligible amount of dirt in the truck, but that he wouldn't, suggesting that I should be careful who I return it to because not everyone would be so nice. Charge me or don't, please don't imply that I'm receiving special treatment and should be grateful when, in fact, there was nothing out of the ordinary about the condition of the truck being returned. He later came over to my vehicle, forced another conversation and told me to be wary of "fleas and ticks" since he had spotted some while he was "cleaning." I find this outlandish since he was using a high powered air hose which, in my estimation, would have made it very difficult to spot any miniscule creatures that may or may not have been in the bed of the truck. Customer service could absolutely be improved on a global level and perhaps suggest that staffers should not be smoking while engaging with customers. Not a great experience this time around.Kelly M.

I am in the process of moving. I was looking for a truck to rent. It could've been any time out of the month of August. I explained to the individual in the store that I was not in a rush because I was moving out of the Carlisle Barracks. This office gives Soldiers ample time. The first problem was the person did not listen when I said I was not in a rush. Also, I was told this location did not have large size trucks for one way trips. I was a little confused about that comment. The person did not listen as I explained what I had to move out of the place. I needed a recommendation. Since what I explained went on deaf ears that meant I got the wrong size truck that day. I got a 10. I was moving my families belongings off base. Again, I said that I was not in a rush and I could've waited for a big truck. I was moving a three bedroom. The second problem was the initial date. It was wrong. I noticed that when I got my email. The last problem came when I was getting ready to leave and I looked at my receipt. I noticed I was not given the military discount. The person who was in the store working did not know how to make the adjustment. She made a phone call and said someone would have to call me to make the adjustment. Someone called me and apologized for what happened. I did get a military discount. With everything that has happened, not paying attention to a customer's wants and needs, I am going to end up renting another truck. That is a waste of my time and my money. I usually don't do surveys. I was so upset with everything that happened to me I just felt I needed to fill this one out. Also, I want someone to be aware of what is going on in hopes none of the above happens to another customer. Customer Service is so very important. RespectfullyCONNIEMARIE B.

U-Haul representative was not in a very pleasant mood. I was given a lecture because I arrived an hour late for the pick-up. I was never given any indication during the online reservation process that doing so would invite such treatment when I had paid to reserve the vehicle between certain hours. I was made to repeat information that I had already provided online during the reservation process. All in all, an unpleasant experience. The vehicle return, handled by a different employee, was quite pleasant.Deb S.
The only comment I have us that out of the package of blankets, 3 were unusable. One was only 2'x3'. Another 3'x5'. The last one was so ripped up, it could not protect any furniture. Although I told the representative, I was not offered any % back for the unusable ones.LINDA A.

I rented a truck for 11:15 and had to wait 4hrs before I got a truck people helping me move had to go (they had other plans) it was very frustrating they call a drive on the phone to see where they were finall called me back and the drive said he would be there at 2:00 I should get the truck at 2:30 we'll that never happened at 3:00 the truck was in I had to find 2 others people to help load and unload when we finally got moving I'm very disappointed I won't use u haul again I feel I should be compensated for the whole thing which was not my fault I payed enoughLYNNE C.
