First truck broke down less than a mile from the pick up location then the employee made me drive the truck back in limp mode or wait 3 to 4 hours for roadside got it back and got a new truck then when i returned the truck they tried to charge me for fuel even with it matching where i left. We had no issues. There was one furniture blanket with a nasty stain on it, so we just left it in the plastic. The truck was clean and drove very well from Oklahoma to Ohio. The videos to show long-distance packing was very helpful with the tie-ins, etc.Pete J.

After completing our rental agreement, the young man said he would bring our truck around, My son and I stepped outside and someone was driving our uhaul at a high rate of speed in the parking lot. I said to my some â€œthat person is doing way toâ€¦â€ and then bam that person ran the truck into a cement pole!! It was so loud that every person in the store came out. It was awful to witness this and honestly shook me up for the reminder of the day. There was no reason to drive the vehicle at that rate of speed and luckily nobody was hurt. Although our truck was no longer able to be driven due to the blown out tire and the heavily damaged front endâ€¦I have photos. We were given another vehicle, but not another contractâ€¦which I will explain later. Our new truck had bald tires and the transmission was not great. We managed to get our move done. Lastly, when we returned the truck later that day and asked if they could check it in while we waited so I could have a receiptâ€¦the woman was so rude. I guess she didn't want to get out of her chair and actually do her job. The reason I wanted it checked in was due to the fact that they never gave me a new contractâ€¦meaning you had no record that I had that vehicle. Simply crossing out mileage on contract of one vehicle and putting new trucks mileage is not the best record system. Finally after me explaining why I wanted it checked in and wanted a receipt, the employee did what I asked, but trust me was not happy about it. We have reneged from uhaul many times. This experience was the worst, from witnessing wreckless driving and rude employees.Bonnie E.

I was able (with the help of my agent) to get the right sized truck to get everything done with 1 load. Truck was returned to the U-Haul location in clean condition within a couple of hours. Thank you at U-Haul I have been a customer for years.Tom H.
I rented a van, the next day it broke down at around 10am I called for road side assistance it took about an hour and a half for them to show up. After an hour of evaluation on the scene, the tech was advised to go get another battery, this took over an hour. The tech returned put in the new battery and that did not work, the computer in the van was bad was what the tech told me. I started asking for a new van when she returned with the other battery. Customer service said I could ride with the tow truck to the uhaul dealer and get another one that would be waiting for me when I got there. Then they decided to take the van to a repair facility so no ride, once again. They called an Uber to take me to the dealer, and it canceled after half an hour. I called for a ride with Lyft and it never showed. I asked one of the guys on the job to give me a ride, and he helped me out. So on Wednesday August 3rd in southern Oklahoma in 104 degree heat uhaul left me stranded, from 10am to 6pm, I'm a 53 year old diabetic, with high blood pressure, and spinal nerve damage. U-haul you could have done a much better job handling this one.Ron L.

The automated check in sends more notices than needed and once the reservation is confirmed I'm not sure it has value. Also, at check-in to pickup a truck the person at the desk needed to switch register/computer to finish my rental. This should not be so. It would have been better is she had been able to do it from her original workstation. Otherwise everything went very smoothly. Security gate doesn't work, key cards don't work, employees are hit and miss. Sometimes super rude and sometimes ok. Only used this facility cause it was close to a property I have. Storage unit had water leaks, I called regarding another unit and was emailed a few units that were available along with pricing. Truck was given to us on Empty. Not all damage on trailer was documented. A/C on truck didn't work. Its 110 outside. When I told them about it, I was told I would have to unload and reload the truck to swap it out. Again, its 110 outside. Had a tire blowout 38minutes into the drive. Which means the tire was bald. Waited 75minutes for tire replacement even though I had an emergency situation with an elderly passenger on 24/7 oxygen. Dispatch said she understood and would rely the message as an emergency. Once assistance arrived I asked tire service operator what was communicated over dispatch and she said she received no emergency information and dispatch made it seemed we were waiting at our house not on the side of a rural road. Everything was fine, except the actual units are not well-lit. Usually the office and access hours were ok, but when we went to move out of the unit on a Sunday, the card wouldn't work and the office was locked so we could not empty it, and our hired helpers were booked so we had to move ourselves. Someone in the office the next day gave us an extra day, but apparently did not report it as we were billed and had problems correcting it. Everything was settled a week later. We were charged late fees twice without warning until 15 days after via a letter in the mail. I received a letter in the mail yesterday, 12/20/21, that was dated 12/2/21 for November's late fee, and we live in the same town as the unit. The November late fee wasn't even our fault, it was due to the previous form of payment not being deleted by the store employee. The October late fee was because of my debit card being hacked, us getting a new card, and not realizing the unit was saved to that card. Both fees were removed but it was tedious having to go in each time to deal with them. The facility was fine, my beef is with the pricing. The facility would not prorate our month. Our month started on the 14th, and we moved out that day, and they would not prorate or refund from Aug 14-Sept 14. This is unfair to customers, I don't care what the contract says, it's a terrible business practice. This survey says move out date was the 16th, it was NOT, it was on the 14th, the day my son moved into his apartment. Someone is playing funny business with the move out date. Other storage companies will prorate and since we have a choice, I will choose differently next time. No need to charge customer (a college student) for 29 days he didn't need. This has been the most horrific experience. We rented a storage space (which has always remained empty) as a place where our daughter who attends OU could use if she needed to leave school quickly due to COVID. Our bills were paid on auto-pay. In late January, we decided she was staying at school and that we could cancel the account. Since our name is on the account, we had to complete a document and send to the manager giving authorization to close the account and cut the lock. We live in Michigan. After that time, we were billed for another monthly fee. We contacted the store and sent a second copy of the cancellation form. I have since sent them to your store manager as a reference point. The charge we received was credited. We have then been charged again, received a lien notice, another charge and a final notice. I have send several emails to Brett the store manager to work this though as well as worked with Lisa from your customer service department. Brett will not return calls nor emails. As of right now, we have lien notice against us (without merit) as well as charges on our American Express card for monthly billing when we clearly returned the unit prior (documented). I am disappointed at this service and the lack of care and concern from your store manager Brett. I have copies of all emails sent to Brett for reference. As of this moment, we still are not clear on next steps. We need some clarity and closure here. Way way waaaaay to over priced. I went from paying $137 to now $54 a month by switching. I rented a 10' truck on 10/22/2020 'In town price' They lied and said I drove 50 miles when I did not. I went 24 miles. 11 miles there and 11 miles back, plus stopped for gas. 700 E Lindsey to 905 SE 19th st moore, ok. That is 12 miles there and 12 miles back!!!!!! One way trip!!!!! I went from paying $34.00 to $78.00 to $128.00 for 'In Town' services that advertised $19.99. Their response to me was 'Did you take a picture.' Well of course not, because I didnt think i was going to get screwed over plus it isn't my job to make sure someone can read numbers right. They made my account overdraft. So overall $128.00 charged for going 24 miles. Very dishonest and shady people. I work hard for my money and They stole from me and was not truthful about the numbers. I spoke to the manager and they did not help me at all. They said the numbers added up....yeah, lies. I spoke to customer service and they said I can file a complaint but the manager from a local store would contact me...what good would that do? I already spoke to them! I wanted corporates number. I asked the ladies 'Who read the numbers on the truck' and they did not even respond back. They were trying to save their jobs. I was told when I reserved the unit over the phone that I would maybe have to walk up a couple of stairs, but nothing major to get to the upper level. When I arrived at my unit, it turned out to be an upper level unit only accessible by a set of rolling stairs, which is not what I was told and did not suit my needs. Thankfully, the staff were very helpful and were able to move me to a ground-floor unit on the same day. In addition, the day that I arrived to move in, all of the key cards were demagnetized, so none could be activated in my name, and I ended up having to leave to go to work without having moved in because I didn't have keycard access and also did not have time. When I came back the next day, the issue was resolved, for which I was grateful. I also did not feel like I was well-informed about how to swipe into the facility, since it required swiping into two different control panels, which I never would have guessed on my own. The staff member who helped me was very kind though, which was nice. In sum, the move-in process ended up being far more difficult than I thought it would be, but everything worked out well.emma k. | First Impressions
