It's much easier to return a tank that's full then trying to get it to a measured level in between your vehicles should be rented at full tanks so they should be returned at full tanks much easier I believe...

Wasn't too bad. Didn't like that I had to pay for extra mileage when I literally went straight from Burlington to Stevensville to the drop off area which is what I booked. Don't understand that we don't get reimbursed for over filling gas, but aren't allowed to take it out then.

My wife made an inquiry to one of the team, who then called the manager Matthew who came out aggressively said he can't change prices, told her to READ the pricing on the board then told her to be quiet so he could hear an interaction that didnt even involve him. My wife got upset and had to raise her voice as well necause he was saying she said things she didn't? What a way to start our very long moving day. VERY RUDE. Has no business being in customer service I spent $700 or more within one weekend and get treated like this. I never want to have to be confronted again. I will simply use self check in OR go somewhere where they know how to treat customers. If I even want to use UHaul again. I do want to give some positive feedback from one of your sub sellers JD from Ancaster mini storage. He should teach Matthew how to treat a customer... he assisted us on the Friday, was kind and courteous and helped us solve for some rental issues and gave us great advice about using the self check in/out tool as well as helped us set up our next rental. He is amazing, kind and patient. Matthew who represents your brand is terrible he got up and walked away after my wife asked for his manager. He needs more soft skills and should get info direct from the customer before making accusations and being aggressive. BTW your company reputation was ruined for us over a $ 10 appliance dolly.

One thing off hand, which I guess you have your reasons is I think you should fill the tank to the top, then it gets filled to the top, simple...so you don't have to try to estimate getting on the quarter mark, more efficient.

Not charge after hours convenience fee for customers who bring back equipment earlier than scheduled but after hours of operation! I was very disappointed for having this charge . The vehicle was ready and available early and I got charged $20 for uhaul employee doing their job. No matter that it was on the contract or signs put up at the location, it should not have occured at the first place unless vehicle is due on that day but given back after hours! I understand I could've completed check in on the website but what if one doesn't have internet, mobile device or just plain exhausted at the end of the day? Not only that, but after asking kindly to reverse the fee for a simple mistake I was told that it's company policy and procedure so now I'm sure Uhaul has great benefit of that $20 and got an unhappy customer!

The original pickup was supposed to be a 4x8 trailer at Welland Ave, St Catharines at 10:00 am Monday. On Sunday I received a call saying it would be delayed until Monday @12:30pm, but was guaranteed it would be ready. I arrived at 12:00pm on Monday to do the paperwork and pick up. I was informed that the trailer was not available. I had to drive to Niagara to pick up a 6x12 trailer instead, or pay $700+ for a van. This demonstrates a terrible business model. I booked in advance, confirmed the day before, only to arrive and not have the trailer available. To be fair, I was given a $50 credit, and allowed to pay the same rate as the 4x8 for the larger 6x12. The staff at both locations were great, with the exception of two minor misunderstandings by the agent at Niagara Falls: 1) she did not believe that there was unlimited mileage for trailers, and said I would have to pay for extra mileage, even though I showed her the statement that trailers had unlimited mileage on the web site (the supervisor cleared that up in a minute); 2) she charged me $10 extra for insurance on the 6x12 even though I was supposed to get the rate for the original 4x8 I ordered. One of the other staff helped me get a troublesome hitch bar onto my car.

Both the trailer pick-up and drop-off processes went well at this location. The staff were friendly and helpful in the office (for the renting process/documents) and in the yard for hook-up and drop-off. The St. Catharines (Welland Ave) office had also been helpful on the phone. They we the ones who referred me to the NF location and indicated that there should be availability of the unit that I was looking for.

When I returned the truck the young lady was very ride to my father Brad Knight the truck had right on the line 3/8of a tank. The truck also smelled of cigarettes. Now I paid 131$ for the rental and estimated kms. We were then charged another 44$ for gas when it was were it was exactly and I was told I went over kms. I have never had issues like this nor paid so much for the little driving we did. Very upset and feel very ripped off. Very rude customer service.

Professional and friendly staff at this location. We used the truck to go from Niagara Falls to London and back so were very pleased to have equipment that handled the driving conditions as well as it did. Great mechanical condition - as well as being clean and well looked after. Highly recommend them!

I am utterly disgusted at the service at UHAUL as well as their policies. I am consistently being charged 'EXTRA' fees which are deemed insurance/late fees, yet when I ask to pay a past due, I am told I CANNOT PAY A PARTIAL PAYMENT AND ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE IN FULL, SINCE I AM UNABLE TO DISH OUT THE $600 AT ONCE, (THIS AMOUNT INCREMENTING BECAUSE THE UHAUL WON'T LET ME PAY PARTIAL PAYMENTS BRINGING MY ACCOUNT UP TO DATE SLOWLY AND MAKING IT EVEN) THEN I AM BEING TOLD THAT THE ACCOUNT IS INCURRING FEELS PLUS LIEN FEES. SO WHEN MY ACCOUNT was at zero, I was told because I had TWO STORAGE SPACES, even though I told the individual my husband opened the ONE IN HIS NAME, I was told they were the same account and TOLD because the other one had a balance on it, they were charging me two x the late fees, even though one was at zero. WHEN I ASKED THE MANAGER TO MAKE AN EXCEPTION SO I COULD PAY $300 NOW AND $300 AT THE END OF THE MONTH. HE SAID NO! HE SAID THAT WAS NOT AN OPTION AND THAT HE HAS BEEN TELLING ME FOR MONTHS THAT I COULD NOT MAKE PARTIAL PAYMENTS. HE IS DISAGREEABLE, UNWILLING TO MAKE COMPROMISES TO PLEASE THE CLIENT, OR MEET THE CLIENTS ECONOMIC NEEDS HALF WAY. I WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN AND THEY COULD ACTUALLY AUCTION OFF MY DECEASED MOTHERS STUFF NOW. I DO'NT CARE. I HAVE TRIED OVER TIME TO CATCH UP ASKING TO MAKE PARTIAL PAYMENTS TO CATCH UP SLOWLY TO MEET MY ECONOMIC SITUATION AND HE REFUSES SO THE ONE TIME FOR PAYING MY UHAUL STORAGE, I HAD TO GO TO A FOOD BANK FOR FOOD BECAUSE IT LEFT ME AT ZERO MONEY IN MY ACCOUNT. The whole process was easy and efficient. My unit was clean and the building was well maintained. Getting into my unit has a two step security feature. The crime rate around the area is low and the building is not really seen from the general public,but has easy road access. Staff was knowable and helpful. But not to nosy.. great experience

I don't think that although I paid monthly for a few years, I should have received funds back for closing one unit on the 3rd and one unit on the 15th. I don't know how any individual could empty a locker in one day - the day of the month the payment(s) we're made. Total rip off.

I was charged an additional 175.00 for coming into the storage unit 2 days late. 29th is my pay day and the 31st I was there and I couldn't pay my months rent at the monthly cost I was charged all these extras and couldn't get the management to work with me. I am a loyal customer of uhaul and I was keeping my unit for that month so instead of the 117.00 I was charged 299.00 and I had my stuff out this month 2 days before my due date and Matthew Tubman is trying to charge me fees. I was not leaving my storage unlocked with my lock when theirs people who are living out of their storage unit on the same hall as I was in when I was cleaning mine out. Last month Matthew had an additional lock on my unit by the morning of the 31st and pay is the 29th and I was threatened my stuff would be going for auction so they have the option of removing the lock themselves this man just wants to charge me more and more money

The staff were the greatest from the time I walked in to the office to rent a storage unit right to the end when I check out and closed my account. The storage units are clean and accessible very easily. They provide carts for you to use to wheel you stuff in and out of storage and also provide bathroom  for you to use and maps on the wall in several areas of the indoor storage building to be able to find your way around. I have had an over all awesome experience with the whole thing. Me and my husband would definitely recommend them for all your needs for storage, for moving, etc.... Worst experience ever dealing with storage and at this location Matthew isn't very friendly or helpful. I don't think it's right that you don't prorate days for ppl in situations that you try and charge them a whole extra month. It's a scam. I wasn't happy about it and definitely wouldn't use uhaul storage again or suggest it to someone else. Kent location use to be great. All the woman are great there but the manager is awful.

- Police interventions on multiple occasions - Vast warehouse sized facility with dimly lit corridors - First floor storage 6' tall units not as large as advertised, all are partially blocked by sprinkler pipes and notices prohibiting stacking boxes above 4' 8" from the floor. False/misleading advertising. - Was told much later that stacking above the prohibited line is actually allowed (then why have the line in the first place..) but was never informed upon rental and had to rent a second unit elsewhere to accommodate my possessions - Manager is unhelpful, arrogant and lies

I think the only complaint I have with uhaul is you debit machines are very out dated and fail regularly when making a transaction. In desperate need of a serious upgrade. And not having the tap option in the world of covid is just not sanitary.

1) upon booking I was told I had a unit that was only a couple stairs up from ground level. It was a full flight of stairs 2) the billing process is Completely ridiculous. For starters when my first bill was due I never received any notification nor was my credit card charged. Upon receiving a letter at my house weeks later I was told I was being charged a non-payment fee. I explained that this was unacceptable as I have not been notified via mail, email or telephone that there was an issue with payment. I checked my credit card history and an attempt was never even made. I didn't had to argue to have them removed delete payment fee. Which they eventually did. 3) for whatever reason it was impossible for them to correspond with me via email. I was then told that it must be my email address that was the problem. This is not a problem I use this for personal and business email every single day and I've never had an issue outside of the issue with U-Haul. 4) It wasn't until the final two months that I used the unit did I receive any sort of email or paper invoice from uhaul. Two invoice forms. 5) while helping a friend move some items into a different storage unit at the same U-Haul facility, I checked on my unit. I found that some of my furniture was wet and also stained with water damage. I spoke to the front desk and also to the manager of the store. He told me there was nothing that could be done as he didn't have any notice of a leak in that area. I explained that this was his notice that he must have a leak somewhere in that area as my items which were moved in in November somehow got wet and mouldy between then and April. I was told that because I did not buy insurance I was out of luck. This is completely unacceptable I should not have to buy insurance to protect my goods from a facility that is supposed to me be maintained. As far as I'm concerned this is a stain on the U-Haul name. It seems that U-Haul sells itself on its customer service, quality of facility and ease of use. My experience does not reflect that. I am now out $400 of which the furniture cost, the $40 in dump loads because I had to throw it all out, and the close to $100 a month and I paid between December and June. I had things missing from my storage unit and I am not pleased about it I had no access for sometime and I don’t think that items went missing do that is something to look into and also think about putting lights in each of the units the hall ways light up just fine but not the units and it doesn’t help when people are legally blind like I am or Putting in a device with people that have trouble with hearing that would make it also easier

I rented a 5' x 5' x 6' storage locker for May 3. I arrived May 4 to discover the space contains a low hanging sprinkler pipe and warning tape on all three walls prohibiting users from filling it above the marker line.. . which is located just 56" inches from the floor. Effectively, there is just 4'8" of usable space, NOT six feet as advertised. This represents a loss of 41.5 square feet of storage. As a result I was unable to fit all my possessions in this clearly much smaller space and had to find an alternative storage solution for the remaining items. To represent this locker as a 5' x 5' x 6' storage given the interior stacking limitations is completely misleading. One might say it could be considered false advertising. I did not have this problem at the Milton UHaul facility and am now in a position where I have to keep two separate rental spaces in different locations at more cost until this problem is resolved.
