Have extra trucks available. I had to go to 2 different locations to get my rental and still wasn't able to get the same equipment I had reserved. Have someone available to bring rental to a convenient location if backup equipment is far away.CODY H.

Both outdoor storage units leaked and damaged some of my items. When I informed UHaul, they said they would inform the manager and I was never contacted for follow up. The computer system at UHaul is horrible. When I first rented the units and set up my online account, UHaul's system linked my account to an old account ten years old, including an old credit card, which it then tried to run for auto pay and of course failed. I was then charged late fees, & a delinquent letter was sent in the mail to my MOTHER'S address THREE states away. When I went to UHaul to correct these issues, they apologized and admitted that their computer systems were horrible. Once again the 24 HR rental process is terrible. Took 45 minutes. Having to submit DL pics and head shots multiple times. After checking the truck over I go to the lock box and the key is for another truck. Having to have a reference to call is a joke. I used somebody walking down the street. First, add a damn radio button to the order so people can simply note that they are empty and ready for pickup - they were here THREE WEEKS longer than they needed to be, causing me to be billed for another month, and almost long enough for me to start billing UHAUL for storing them on my property, they were ready to be picked up the 7th, I called and sat on hold for over 35 minutes just to tell somebody that a week in advance, and they were picked up the 29th, which pissed us right offNicholas D.

For the most part, it was a very good experience. The girl who checked us in was difficult to understand, and as I have hearing difficulties, it was a bit of a difficult experience when we first got started. After that, it was excellent. The girl who got us started wasn't rude, but she wasn't as nice as I thought she could be. The rest of our experience was outstanding! I was very pleased. We had to go really far out of the way to get a truck, so this was a pleasant surprise. We would probably rent closer to home if possible next time, but if we had to, we'd use this location again.JENNIFER S.

We had scheduled a rental for the 27th of July at 5 PM. We picked up the unit around 3 PM, and ended up needing it for 3 days. We were hoping to get everything moved in one day, but that didn't transpire. Having said that, the A/C stopped working, intermittently the 2nd day into the move, late in the afternoon. It would cycle between hot and cold air about every 2 minutes, or so. I didn't have the luxury of stopping in the middle of our move that day to reach out to the local U-haul facility to let them know what was going on. The next day, Thursday, the 29th I was at work and my wife was driving the van and she called me to indicate that it was making a noise from the engine and the A/C had stopped working altogether. It no longer blew cold at all. This was also the hottest day of the Summer we've had to date, with a heat index of well over 100 degrees. I called the local U-haul facility where we picked up the unit to report the issue and to also inquire about some kind of compensation for the inconvenience of driving the vehicle during the heat without A/C. I was told by an extremely rude, young lady that there was nothing they could do on our behalf as we did not report the issue until the 3rd day into the rental. I then reached out to U-haul corporate through the contact line. I was on hold originally for almost 45 minutes. When I was finally connected to a rep, I was told that complaints were not his area of expertise, and he'd have to transfer me to a different department. I was then on hold for another 45 minutes (an hour and a half total), only to be told that I'd have to be referred back to the store where the rental originated. I told them I'd already tried that route, and was told there was nothing that could be done on the corporate level either. After that, I just gave up. We continued to use the truck without A/C as we had to complete our move. At the time of reporting the issue, the truck was already loaded, and we were on the way back to the new residence to unload again, so we couldn't stop in the middle of what we were doing to swap the truck out. I just wanted to voice my frustration with this issue. I also wanted to let someone know that after this experience, I will not be renting anything further from U-haul. There is a Penske, and a Ryder location close to me that I will take my business to from here on out.LOLA W.

I rented a U-Haul truck but needed to extend my reservation. The guy James call me about the truck. I explained to James I spoke with customer service to extend my reservation. James became very upset telling me he was going to charge me $50 before hanging the phone up in my face. Once I received my final bill I notice James charged me $50 for a cleaning fee. The truck was not dirty so there was no need to charge me a cleaning fee. This is not right and very poor customer service.KENDRICK C.

First I did not check the trailer out before I left the facility. I just hooked it and left the facility. The trailer was bounce up and to point it was actually leaving the pavement. When I got home i checked and the tires on the trailer were cupped real bad and 3/4 of the tire treads were bald. Also, I had to spray WD40 on the handle and hinges force open the door. When I discovered all this i was at home so I took the trailer back and they exchanged it out.JOSEPH E.
Everything about my recent experience with Uhaul was overwhelmingly positive. Communication about delivery and pickup was easy and quick, delivery staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and even the new (non-particle board) Ubox was in great shape throughout. My only complaint with u haul Newnan is about a single employee. All agents were busy when I arrived, so I was waiting. This young lady came in to start her shift, she had a thin T shirt with no bra and house slippers, she clocked in and went outside in the shop area and sat down and started smoking. She was still there smoking and talking on her phone after I unloaded a truck and checked out. So I asked another employee about her and what her job was. I was told she had the same job as the rest of the folks at the counter. Why she chose to go outside and smoke instead of helping me while I was in line I do not know. She seemed extremely comfortable ignoring your customers so this tells me she does this quite often. Her dress was completely unacceptable for public work. Her work ethic would get her fired if she worked for me. You are really being unfair to your other employees by allowing this employee to act like this. All your other folks were very professional and very helpful and working their butts off, I feel pretty confident you know exactly who I am talking about and I hope that you address it.JAMES G. | First Impressions
