Storage Card did not provide eleavator access to 7th floor when I attempted to move in items after unloading. I wasted more than an hour reloading items after I found out elevator would not allow me to go to the 7th floor. It was super easy picking up the vehicle, almost too easy. I provided the name for the reservation, he confirmed my card, handed me a piece of paper and told me I was all set. He gave me a key and told me the truck is outside. There were a few trucks out there so it took me a minute to find the correct one. I also didn't realize that on the paper I received the representative listed the gas tank as being full and it was actually below a half tank so I ended up having to put the tank at full before returning it. When returning the vehicle I was approached by a rude rep who acted as if he was bothered that I asked him if he could repeat what he said. He told me to turn off the vehicle and I can go. I wanted to know if someone would look at the vehicle, confirm the mileage, and gas so I can know what the final bill is. The reason I asked is because that's what happened at other locations. He responded, turn off the vehicle you are all set. Very rude. Also the parking is kind of confusing and when my friend was trying to find a space to park at, the same guy doing the return yelled at her and said â€œget out of there, what are you doing?!â€ This location definitely needs to work on their customer service.Dominique J.

I rented a tow dolly in Detroit MI. I was given on with the tail light zip tied in. When I got to Southington CT, the light had fallen out and the wires broken off. It should have never been issued to me in that condition. The roadside assist personel was very helpful and sent me to an repair center in CT; however, this delayed me leaving by 1 day. The repair center riveted the new light in and reconnected the wires. The problem was that the area/holes on the plastic fender that holds the light/rivets was brittle and cracked up. One hour into my trip to Houston TX, the light fell and was dragging by the wiring. I had to pull over in a hotel parking lot and repair the light myself. I ended up drilling additional holes in another area of plastic fender and using several zip ties to secure the light. This delayed me another 3 hours. My repair lasted the entire trip, however, I had to return the dolly in Hattiesburg MS because I didn't have time to go to Houston considering all the delays. After going to all the trouble and delays, I was charged for keeping the dolly an extra day. Considering all the trouble, I think I should have been refunded my original payment instead of being charged more.PERCY M.

Steve is the only reason this place is functioning properly. This location is constantly busy, the phone hold time has gone over 45 minutes, other employees have completely forgotten to enter our reservations, we've waited hours in person. U-haul have hidden fees/ maybe I just don't understand. There was two fees charged that doesn't make sense... Safe trip fee. $5.... I'm being charged for being safe... After hours service fee. $20... I was offered the opportunity to bring the vehicle back after hours but I was never told that I was going to be charged to bring it back after hours. $25 in fees that doesn't make sense....Timothy C.
Absolutely recommend this UHaul, all thanks to the gentleman who helped me seamlessly unhitch my SUV first and then later drop off the truck. He even taught me how not to jackknife a trailer while driving, and I will never forget this lesson! Thank you so much!!Danielle D.

When I returned the u-haul 2 hours early, I was told that someone would check out the truck and that the extra money I was charged would be returned to my account. That hasn't happened. Not sure what happened, but seems like these people are scammers. Went, told them I was moving out, rented a truck. Was told everything was all set, all I had to do was return the truck, and everything would be closed out. Just got a bill for $600 the other day though, apparently they kept charging me the whole time. I guess that's what to expect from a company like uhaul. I have Rented numerous Vehicles from this location and have always been impressed by the courteous, efficient, and professional Staff. I was shocked by the Lacksidaisical, attitude of two of the female staff. The woman who eventually processed my reservation, made me wait for several minutes while Playing on her Phone during my initial Check-out, and during my Return which, was eventually processed by a Worker on another computer several feet away. The other female Worker was continually on her Phone while cleaning the returned Vehicle ahead of me. As Phones are used to process orders, I am sure that keeping customers waiting while playing games and engaging in personal phone calls is not part of Your Operational Standards!Vernon G.

The one real problem was the return. I tried to use the IPhone app but was blocked on location issues and had to give up and just use the lockbox. When I asked a question about if it was the right place where the truck was parked, she just looked back down and said "probably." I asked if we needed to do anything about checking out because the app wasn't working, and she said, "no, it just might charge you $20 service fee". Most of the personnel was nice and friendly. However, the return process needs to be improved. I rented two dolly's separate from my truck rental. However, I returned them at the same time. But I was charged $252 for the dolly's. I called to inquire about the charge. I was informed they are saying I kept the dolly's for 17 days. Which is not the case, I went inside to return the dolly's. I was told to put them back in the outside return bay (a small fenced in area in the center of the parking lot).Naitro T.

At the start when the online account wasn't recognizing that I was at the Baltimore uhaul location and I asked a worker for help the answer I got was that I'd have to rent another one entirely. That was the extent of the help. Eventually the account worked with another phone. When I found and unlocked the van - The rear bumper of van was damaged prior to pick up. On an angle that no weight could be put on it- while getting out or loading the van. There was about a 20 minute wait for selfie verification over the website. Besides that it worked and I was able to get the job done. I will look to a competitor tho next time I move or if a friend asks my opinion.JOSHUA TIMOTHY B.

The van was not ready at 10am. I was told it had just been towed in and it appeared someone had been living in it. It was on empty. I waited and finally decided to help the guy clean it out. I swept and sprayed out the back and cleaned the windows and mirrors while he cleaned the drivers area. It stank and was still very dirty. I finally got on the road after 11am. I returned the vehicle promptly the next day as agreed in the contract and with a quarter tank of fuel. The kid that inspected the vehicle charged me the cleaning fee and was rude. I complained to the manager that I should not have to pay the cleaning fee and that I was told I would get a fuel credit. My contract stated that I had 100 miles. He then printed a new receipt with a reduced amount, so I left. I have 3 (three) charges on my account now for the same rental: $97.52 from 4/10 $56.76 from 4/11 and lastly $104.28 from 4/11 (adjusted receipt) I have disputed these charges with my bank and will never do business here again. $260 for a busted up, stinky van that I had to clean myself and then terrible customer service AND being overcharged? All of a sudden hours changed for storage. Picked up uhaul truck 3/21 and the dark skin stocky guy made me walk all the way across the street to retrieve truck instead of him getting it like he suppose to and he didn't evaluate the truck nor the gas til I told him to. Gas was less that 3/8. When I went to return my storage card he seen me go in and out of office looking for staff and he stay in a uhaul truck textn. I walked up to the truck he was in and he just took the card and continued textn instead of taking me inside the building to get closing statement of storage. He was lazy and unprofessional. The elevator never worked. They fixed it months ago, and yesterday on my move out day the elevator was stuck again. I never came to my storage because of fear of getting stuck. The facility itself is nice. The customers are always parked in the wrong area for loading where the uhaul trucks need to go. You have no way of asking them to move if they are upstairs. The staff always gets an attitude when you have an issue with the elevator and move really slow if you or people get stuck. It's never fully staffed. It's always one -two staff members. Wait time is always 20-40 mins. Imagine just being stuck and can't use the stairs! Do better.Delynea B. | Overall Experience

I did not appreciate the social demeanor from a couple of employees. True example; there was a situation of deliberate nuisance when checking out from my storage I waited in line for 8 minutes only to be told that I was standing in the wrong line,when in fact the U-Haul service employee knew why I was waiting and so did the services employee in the correct check out line because they were made aware of that fact that my storage would be no longer occupied and it was clean and that my lock was removed etc.. 8 minutes is a lot of time to waist plus another 15 to 20 minutes running back up to the third floor to take pictures of my storage room(with my phone) and coming back to the service line/ which somehow dramatically increased in customers 藍/that's not the last of it but my time can't be spent on what not to expect from a class of people in Detroit city.Tony J. | Overall Experience

The reservation system isn't great. They need 3 phone numbers and then a back up address. Seems like a very 1980s requirement. Overall, hard to call ahead for info, robots and dialtones. Hard to find clear information online. No way to reserve a time to move in, so we had to wait while they moved a bunch of stuff around. All of this added ups to unnecessary time (and cost) for everyone. Even our professional movers were upset by the process. But as far as having a box that stores things, it does that. My only issue is when the system is down . I had to walk to the office for assistance instead of someone coming to me . I'm disabled and found it very displeasing that the staff was not willing to come to me on a few visits. My only other issue is brooms and dustpans should be available and a garage cans on the storage floor Now i can say when i broke a picture frame the elevator operator told me don't worry he would get the glass up . But it should be supplies available so we can clean up behind ourselves And i feel the pricing of the storage unit is priced to high . In my case i needed it while my house was being worked on when i got the unit i figured two months. i was approaching the fifth month and could not see me paying 114.00 a month because the house project had been put on hold because of the virus. I said all this to say the cost of storage should not cost over a hundred dollars for any unit Had the price been more cost affective i would of keep the unit longer . Thank you for all of your help during the coronavirus outbreak. I know you are all working hard, while trying to keep safe and healthy. My moving guys reported a less-than-stellar move-in experience. The man driving the truck had to wait 45 minutes for someone to move a car out of the driveway in, and said he couldn't get in without it being moved. He had to wait 15-20 minutes for people to come up and down on the elevators to get them in and out of the units too. You guys had me wait for 30 minutes after I got to the counter to get my unit for storage I contracted a moving company through U-Haul payments have been made to you for the movie they charge hourly you also kept me waiting at the point where I'm supposed to slow my furniture to the unit cuz the unit was closed 10 minutes on four separate trips this is cause me not to be able to get all my things in one day I have to go into another day of movie costing me more money not professional at all you guys are aware that the moving company that you contract it charges by the hour I'm at risk of having all my belongings gone I dealt with U-Haul because I wanted a professional organization responsible people I may as well have went to the liquor store and hide the neighborhood while while crackhead doping heroin addict opiate addicted you guys owe me some money on my move furthermore I was at threat of them keeping my furniture unless I paid $170 which had already been deducted from my card And I call in to get the storage unit it's called a reservation once I get to the counter it should not take a half an hour to give me the number of my storage unit and let me have access it's not take 10 minutes each time to actually get into the unit every trip I made every time I took a cart up I have to wait over 10 minutes for them to open the door how do you stay in businessERIC T. | First Impressions
