The ASM hitched me up to a trailer with a flat tire, then hitched me up to a new trailer and didn’t screw down the coupler. The trailer bounced up in the air when I tried to load my car. This was negligent.

This was a terrible experience with unprofessionalism throughout the process. It was three weeks of headache, missed promises, mistakes, and many hours on the phone. I was even lied to about the location of my U-Box while on the phone waiting for delivery. I have submitted a complaint and was promised a call back with how U-Haul would make things right, and even that did not happen. Would not wish this on anyone.

The staff was great -- extremely helpful in educating us properly about driving the truck with auto transport and making sure everything was secure. Like most UHaul (and competing) places I've visited, more space to maneuver would be appreciated, especially when first getting used to the vehicle.

We had a least a 40 minute wait time before there was someone available to work with us. This may have been an unusual situation but it would have been nice if the employees would have said something concerning the long wait time.

The van was super clean and the employee that checked us out was very helpful! The only downside to our visit was that when we came into the office we had to wait 15+ minutes for someone to help us because the only employee in the office was on the phone and didn’t acknowledge us.

The truck ran great. The internet service was great. Problem on both ends, were your good employees were running with their heads cut off with so much work. Calling in to reserve or extend length of rental was just not happening. They have no time to field calls. I stopped in Moscow twice to get pricing and check availability and they were always jammed with incoming or outgoing rentals. I had to leave. Third time was a charm. Called Tucson requesting another day rental and the phone rang and rang. I gave up and went on line as I traveled

Manager was a veteran and pleasant, couldnt believe that bayshore gave me a truck without gas to drive to WA and forgot to include purchased items. Returned dolly and blanket charge to CC, but still owed money because I was over miles. Not a great experience with Uhaul to be honest.

When I called the local phone number, someone somewhere far away answered. I did not get the local business, but some centralized, corporate office that was out of sync with the facts. First, they spelled my name wrong, even though I spelled it out for them. Then they promised me a trailer that was already scheduled 4 days ago for someone else. So when I got done scheduled with my family and an assistant to help with the work, I drove into another town to find that the trailer I was expecting was not available. The local manager explained the situation, and was able to fit me with a different trailer that worked. She did an excellent job. The problem was with the corporate, centralized system. If the purpose of taking local control out of the local area is to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction, you have failed miserably.

Going one way - traffic lady was rude and incorrect. Tried to say they didn't have a 15' truck for me when they did. I checked with location and they confirmed they did have a 15' truck reserved for me. I didn't want traffic lady in Spokane to change or cancel my reservation so I phoned back. She said good luck they don't know what they are doing there. I showed up at my scheduled time. It was busy, end of the month rush. But they had my truck and were very friendly and got me on my way. Location experience A+. Traffic lady in Spokane - not so much.

They did not have any scanners to use at the front desk for scanning licenses so employees were forced to log into Uhaul on their phones in order to scan licenses. They need proper equipment. But overall customer service was excellent and employees were very friendly both on the phone and in oerson

The local employees are trying to help customers. However uhaul seems to have national issues. The reservation system was kind of a joke. We thought we had a trailer reserved but were switched to a pickup location one and a half hours away. Thought we had the issue resolved and were told our pickup location was an hour away when we arrived. Decided to cancel and get a different trailer they had onsite. The person helping us wasn't allowed.to just cancel it. I had to call the national number and wait on hold to cancel it while at the same time doing the new paperwork. The reservation system was worthless. I should have just walked in and asked what was available on the spot.

I had some difficult interactions with the people at this location is various ways. I would be more than happy to communicate them over the phone, but suffice to say, working with this uhaul reservation has made a stressful week even more stressful.

Location understaffed. 8 people in line and associate at the cash register told the person ( I guess in charge) that he was supposed to be getting off. The manager person told him "no problem, take off." He offered to stay to wait on the people who at this point were lined up to the door and the supervisor person said "No, go ahead and go." It took almost an hour to get this trailer picked up. When it was finally my turn, he started the contract, we had to go outside and hook me up, then back inside to finish the contract and pay, then to another employee to get blankets. The whole system seems super inefficient. This location has been understaffed every time I have ever been in there.

The people at the Moscow location were excellent. The issue was the people who couldn’t uphold our reservation for the truck we reserved. We ended up being fine with a van, but had our move been further away we would have been in deep trouble. We don’t understand how the system doesn’t honor reservations made in advance.

The vehical I drove was a 26' and was very shaky. It was fairly easy to drive, that being said. It is difficult to determine the depth of the vehical while driving/seeing in the mirrors. i would suggest putting some brightly colored indicators along the vertical edges of the back so that it is easier to see the rear edges - the white shiny edges are hard to see in the side review mirrors.

They were really kind when we came in to pick up our truck and when we realized we were not going to be back in time for our drop off they happily extended it. That was a huge relief and greatly appreciated it.

It's the only location around, so there's no choice in recommendations. I took 20 minutes to find someone who could correct an error in my bill. Attendants need better training!!

Things to improve for the next customer at the Moscow Uhaul location have to do with the professionalism and conduct of it's employees. The Uhaul representatives that I spoke to during my pick-up process were unprofessional at best. They cracked jokes, made fun of other coworkers in front of customers, and gave less than acceptable explanations for the size of vehicle I was provided. I hold no hard feelings for these individuals, but I would appreciate their conduct to improve for future customers and for the sake of your company.

I had a reservation for a 5x8 trailer there was joy one available they did however offer me a truck unfortunately it was 26 foot box truck which was way to big for what I needed but was left with no other options so it cost me 200 dollars in fuel

The van we rented was perfect. We traveled from Moscow ID to Portland OR and it ran beautifully. My one complaint would be that the place we rented the van from did not go over how to operate the van. We were able to figure it out, but it would have been nice to get some instructions.

Everything went pretty smoothly but had reservation for Lewiston and got a email evening before the move to change to Moscow instead. Had a rush other than that went smoothly but do not see any reason that Lewiston will not rent out trucks and only make them available locally for adds miles on the travel to get one. Then got me confused on the drop off location which I had already set up with the Lewiston location and was driving to home in Spanaway, Washington so did not want it changed anyway. The available addresses got me confused and they should have been able to tell where I was going to drop it off. Somewhat poor communication with that part of it.

We reserved a 15 foot truck a while in advance and were stuck with a 26 foot. No one called us to let us know, rather we received a text message that told us to call and check on our order. Although the lady who helped was great and gave us a discount, we had to pay exorbitantly for gas and had a half empty truck because there were no other options. We also ordered a dolly only to get back to our house where our moving friends were waiting to help us to find it was not in the truck. Overall, we were pretty frustrated. Especially considering we had been called several times by Uhaul locations where we were moving to trying to coordinate for other families who needed our truck. I wish this would have been done for us so we could have had the truck we reserved in advance and could have avoided the extra charges of gas that came out of our pocket. If the truck isn’t available, don’t tell me on your website that it is.

I was already frustrated before I even came in, because they had tried to change my pick up location earlier in the week to a city an hour away (ended up just pushing my pickup time an hour). Then that morning I get a call and am told I can either pick up a trailer in a city two hours away or wait until 6pm that day (the time I should have been arriving to my destination). I said no and opted to get a smaller-sized trailer. I show up at the pick-up time and the line is long. It's a regular Saturday morning and all the students have already moved a month before...there's no reason it should be like this. They seemed to be very understaffed, employees were not well-trained and it seemed like the manager was hiding from customers, as the employees kept going back to talk to them, but they never came out, even when there was only 1 poor girl alone at the counter with a line of 15+ people. We had to wait 2 hours to get our trailer. It sucked and was a terrible start to our day.

I showed up a little bit before 9:30 to pick up my uhaul using the mobile method so I wouldn't even have to go into the office. I submitted the info it asked for and hit submit, then it said pending approval. After about 10 minutes of waiting for my info to be approved so I could get the keys and get to moving, I decided to go in the office to see why it was taking so long and see if I could get the process going. Here I waited in a line with only one person in front of me for FORTY FIVE MINUTES. It took me over an HOUR to get the keys and leave the lot in the uhaul! My expectations was for the mobile pickup to work. When it did not work (it eventually timed out and asked me to submit all the same info I had just submitted) then i went into the office, my expectations were low: get the key, be sent on my way. My extremely low and very basic expectations were not only not met but they were so much worse than i could have imagined. This makes me never want to rent a uhaul from this location again because it took so long and was so frustrating.

We waited 1 hour and 45 minutes to pick up the cargo van. Originally had a 10 am pickup and finally got the keys at 11:26. They were understaffed and the manager Matt Williams was not around. I made a point of having an express pick up reservation but that didn’t matter. There was a long line of frustrated customers and it seems the manager didn’t care and the staff were struggling. The delay seriously impacted our plans. The vehicle was good and the return was easy, but the pick up was a disaster.

Train your employees on how to QUICKLY process the rental. I’ve waited 30 minutes in line, there were 2 people in front of me and then another 25 minutes observing your employee struggling with your reservation software. Lastly, I was charged for one extra day because your employee processed the return over an hour after I dropped the trailer off.

Matt is a new manager so i will cut him slack. But the rest of the people there are either rude, lazy, or dumb. The girl who is rude beyond words. One guy backed into my boyfriends car.

First, I stood in line for an hour before I could get a truck. And then they didn't have the size I wanted. Second, The person entering my information into the computer couldn't seem to get it right. I finally gave him my drivers license so he could copy the name and address off of it. Still couldn't get it right; He got my first name right, but then used my middle name as my last. This store is a very busy store and severely under-staffed. In addition, the system they are using to generate the contract is so inefficient and takes twice as long as it should. This of course is not the fault of the store but the U-Haul Corporation. Both this store and the corporation really need to get there respective acts together.

When I returned the rental (clean and well within the contracted time frame), I did so online using my phone. I left the key in the vehicle, locked. I also called the store after I left the vehicle to notify them that the key was in the vehicle, but was unable to reach anyone or leave a message. I received a voice message later that night from the individual in the store and I called again to the same effect. The agreed upon fee for the transaction appeared in my checking account record. Weeks later, my checking account was debited an illegitimate and exorbitant amount which I consider theft.

Tire on auto transport had large piece of tread missing. Store refused to assist even though it came off the lot like that. Had to wait 2.5 hours for a new tire to be delivered from Spokane. Horrible customer service at the store itself. LONG wait times. Would not recommend to anyone.

Definitely need to work in their timeliness! I was there for almost two hours just to get a small trailer. Stood in line for an hour, and then was waiting for the employee to come back after he ran off to finish my contract. It was absolutely stupid. I was late to what I was doing, and and definitely pissed by the time I left.

The employees were competent and had great customer service skills. However your technology leaves much to be desired. I reserved a vehicle online but my payment and photo ID did not get transmitted so I spent a lot of time at the reservation desk duplicating the info I had already input. I also heard two different customers comment about UHaul's "black hole" technology. Information gets lost within the computer system.

I waited in line for an hour to pick up my truck, which I had reservations for. Matt, the person who seemed to be in charge, would stop in the middle of transactions to go do other things. He seemed overwhelmed, but during my hour of waiting, he also disappeared for 15-20 minutes at a time. When I finally got to the counter the the computer couldn’t process my debit card. I had to swipe my card at least three times and then the person helping me had to start the transaction over. I had reserved other moving supplies online and had already been charged for that. There was no record of those items when I asked about them, so I canceled them online at UHaul.com while waiting for my truck rental transaction to be completed. I have no idea what will actually show up on my bank statement, but at least I have a receipt I can use to dispute any charges if it comes to that. The store was clean and well-stocked. I honestly think the management needs to be retrained or have a co-manager there for support.

Quit giving people confirmation numbers and letting them think they have a truck after they fly across the United States and then you want them to drive two hours to get one. How do you know people have a ride to get there? How can You tell people you have no trucks when the lot is full and was full for the three days I was there. Horrible service and I will let everyone know it!

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with a hitch purchase and installation for my mini van. First, I got transferred to a call center when I thought I was talking to my local store. The woman I was talking to added an express charge($70) to the hitch without telling me for which I had to spend over an hour with different customer service rep who ultimately couldn't help me so I finally went to the store. At the store the GM took care of the issue, but I had to go in several times(they are very hard to reach on the phone) and then the forgot to call me once the hitch was installed so my van stayed there overnight. For something that should have taken a grand total of 1 hour to buy and install I ended up going to the store 3 separate times just so I could communicate with one after spending hours on the phone trying to get through. Sadly, unless they significantly improve their customer service and buying process, I will avoid going back to Uhaul and will recommend other do as well.

A lack of communication between main phone number resvation for storage unit and the depot in Moscow. The depot could not find the reservation, luckily they had one small one available. Also every time we had to wait on the phone service. The first 10-20 minutes on hold then person on phone needed to reconnect other person for storage reservation and then put on hold again until finally correct person came on. Very time consuming. Needs better categories.

Dont be a dick. You charge for fuel but arent anywhere close to a gas station, so you perpetually charge extra on your cars for that simple fact alone. So yeah fuck you uhaul.

Employees were very rude sarcastic. When they finally showed up. Belittled me and basically accused me of lying about the truck seriously needing an alignment. Tryck was so misaligned that it was moderately dangerous to drive at highway speeds. Previously I used the Pullman WA location. The owner retired, and it is closed. I will rent from a different company rather that use the Moscow location again.

I was shocked for it being a uhaul center, how disorganized and trashy the outside and the experience was. First thing I heard was an employee cussing about what I first thought was a customer, quickly realized he was in fact an employee out of uniform. Next the GM takes a Facebook messenger call and ignored the employee who was checking me in, which was had a question about my rental. Next the cops show up because the GM has his whole family behind the counter ordering Jimmy John's, and his lil kid pushed the silent alarm. I had to wait while they finished discussing thier order for my receipt, which I was told if I wanted I had to go inside, without explanation why or the employee walking me in(I know the POS system doesn't print outside, but there was no communication) Kid was a cute lil criminal, and the employee put of uniform was very diligent in getting stuff done outside, despite his fellow employee's comments. But overall, knowing the Uhaul standard, that was a shockingly bad experience.

To give context to my responses... Matt deserves 10 stars. He is very professional, problem solves, juggles many things at once- all while being polite and helpful. That said, UHaul as a company seems to have issues with their equipment inventory system. We had a reserved truck and when we arrived (on time) the truth was nowhere to be found (at least not in Washington or Oregon). It was in OHIO!! Given that this was college moving weekend, all of their other equipment was reserved. Thankfully someone no-showed and we were able to use "their" truck for our quick move . The truck we used was clean but the chassis/axles felt like they were going to break at any time. Fortunately we didn't have to drive far. Serious maintenance needed, in my opinion. As long as Matt is there I would be willing to try this location again (no other nearby option). I would recommend it only if Matt were there and because there are no other choices in this area.

I wound up having to bring the truck and trailer to this location almost a hour drive from the city I scheduled for because all the locations claimed they are not accepting drop off. How is that my problem? Your computer dispatch should do a better job of making sure the space is available it should be up to your employees to transfer equipment not the customer

The online reservation system worked well, but this location was very unorganized. This is not a busy time of year here, but there was a line almost out the door and it took 30 minutes to check in and get the vehicle. Same line when I returned the vehicle, and there were so many returns that the entrance was blocked....poorly managed location.

Overall process management was horrible. There were two people in the office but they seemed disconnected from the reservation system and took multiple trips to the yard to check on yard issues. At one point there were ten customers alone in the office queued and waiting while the office help was in the yard. In fairness there was a help wanted sign but process management was horrible. We waited over an hour to return a rental.

I just needed a 5X8' trailer for a queen-sized bed. The location / dispatch would not rent a trailer, or a small truck, or a van. They did rent a giant 26' truck that was made to move a 4-bedroom house. I had one mattress, box spring and frame. There was equipment on the lot, but they wouldn't rent it despite my having a reservation for the trailer. So, I ended up with a $90 gas bill on top of the rental, when the total cost should have been $67. This was a really horrible example of just how much a reservation means to U-Haul: nothing. Very disappointing and this is a story i'll be spreading around. The local personnel were nice enough, but seemed somewhat in chaos and disorganized throughout.the whole process. I give the location an average, but the overall experience a 'poor', if that were an available option Driving a 26' truck 300 miles is not a good time.

Very busy day with not enough help in the store or on the lot. Had to wait in line two different times before I got my trailer. Even thought I did the online pre-check-in... still had to walk through the whole process. Sent me out to go get hooked up to a trailer and then allowed the next customer to pull in ahead of me and take the trailer.. delayed me another 30 minutes at least. Basically everything was very chaotic

Stood in line for over an hour (2 people in front of me when I arrived), then after making it through the line we were told to go and back our truck up near the trailer section and that somebody would come up to get us our trailer. Waited over by the trailers for another half hour before somebody came to tell us which trailer was the correct one. Also had our contract changed the day prior to pickup because the trailer we wanted wasn't available at the prearranged location. This resulted in over 60 miles of driving to pickup the correct trailer. When I asked about the $50 reservation gurantee at the counter they told me that it only gurantees that the trailer is correct. Online the gurantee clearly states it covers the time, place, and trailer.

The return location was fine, but I feel that I should not have had to pay extra because the store close to me would not take the truck as they were full. So I had to wait extra days to take the truck back because I could not get up the hill to take it back. I had to take it back on sat. when my daughter was available to follow me and bring me back to my car. Round trip was 90 miles. This unacceptable.

I was signed up for automatic payments, and my payment date was 9/6. I was charged for the month of September, even though my unit was empty and I turned in the key on the 6th. Seems like robbery!!!!

Despite booking a storage unit four months in advance, my unit had been given to someone else. While accommodations were made, I had to move everything up a flight of stairs instead of a ground unit.
