They were able to arrive early which was fine although we weren't totally ready for them. They did a good job loading the trailer but then it came to moving objects to the trash and they told us that they were movers not garbage men. We aren't talking about moving actual garbage, we are talking about putting items into the alley for pickup the next day. We did not understand that at all so they left. Movers move things and that's what they were doing. Oh well at least we were able to finish by ourselves and we managed to get the job done.Israel D.

Everything went smoothly except for original drop-off of empty U-Boxes in IL, they were delayed twice (2 days total) which created quite a stressful situation for me. Improve communication with customers when there is a shortage or staff that can impact your move would be helpful in the future. I will like to acknowledge the wonderful staff of Jeff always willing to take down my u boxes when needed in the last 3.5 yrs. Laura always being friendly and answering the phone when needed to request access to my uboxes. Chris was responsive to answering calls and questions. I want to thank Joyce from the management office that was understanding and empathic when I was most frustrated about my uboxes not being delivered. Joyce did not make excuses she accomplished a solution unlike her counterpart peer, thank you so much Joyce. I had the fortune to speak to the Marketing president Angelia she was fantastic great listener and very understanding to her consumers. Thank you for being you. Rep/regional manager Shannon needs more training is needed for how navigate with client/consumers, poor attitude in my opinion and the lack of genuine empathy is not good customer service. Telling a consumer get in line as shortage is staff is a problem for why your uboxes can not be delivered is not acceptable, not good communication nor best policy for customer service. Unfortunate uhaul is a customer driven business therefore sometimes creative solutions are needed to fulfill a consumers request. I believe this employee did not want to think outside the box to figure out a solution to accommodate a long term customer which is sad but again thank goodness Joyce answered my second call. Last but not least Raphael is amazing person and had such great energy a GM personally delivered my uboxes making two trips, he communicated with me throughout the process from deliver to uboxes to picking up the empty uboxes. He was so nice and demonstrates beyond professional standard.. A team player that stepped up to help the overall team as the store was short delivery driver. Very unprofessional at this location. The customer service was basically zero. No hello , hi how can I help you today ? It was very cut and dry and uncomfortable. When I returned the truck, I was waiting in line for my turn , and I hear an employee say." We just need the key". Didnt ask if everything went OK, didn't have to sign anything, no one checked the truck out upon return. I thought it was strange. Then I received my receipt via e mail which is over charged. The manager should have never rented out this 21 year old trailer. The tires were bald and the wheel bearings were loose. I complained about the tires and the manager said they were "fine". Pomps tires confirmed the tires were unsafe and they further did a bearing check and said the bearings were bad. Manager at Montgomery Uhaul needs a course on tires.MICHAEL H.

I rented the unit for almost 3 years. Due to Covid-19, we lost an income. Although we made a few late payments, as food and utilities came first, payments were always made. A female made several calls to press us for a payment not made by the due date. She was disrespectful on the phone. Chris was somewhat helpful regarding late payments and penalties, we were still charged a "lean" charge. Every month was paid in full. Trailer had inoperable lights on the passenger side. I notified the cashier at the time of rental that I would be driving over 1000 miles with it and needed good lights and tires. The cashier checked my lights after hooking up the trailer. I once again, insisted that I needed tail lights, turn signals, and brake lights all to work. She insisted that they were working and was responsible for checking the lights during the hitching process. The lights were not operable and I feel lied to. This put me at risk and I had to talk my way out of a ticket half way through my trip. This was completely unacceptable.KYLE B.

The service at this location was awful. Most of the associates were not wearing their mask. One was talking rude to a customer over the phone and another associate was talking about another customer loudly and on the floor for everyone to hear. When I first came, they could not find my reservation. When I got my keys, no one showed me what car it was so I walked around until I had to walk back into the place to ask. The truck had a sign still in the windshield and I was not told that it was our truck. We were told to tuck the sign behind the seat, as it was not prepared for us and we were not told how to identify the truck by the numbers on the top of the truck that matched the key. I would not recommend using Uhaul at all! Reserved my truck weeks ahead of time and was told they could not guarantee me a truck unless I did pick up and drop off at the same location. Changed the reservation and then they said I needed to pick another location so Changed it again, day before we move they call me and say the truck is not There you need to go 45 minutes away to get it, finally they find me a closer truck go to Pick it up and the truck is there but the company was out Of business so they had me go to another location 45 minutes away (keep in mind I'm Paying per mile) get the truck request to return it somewhere closer which they will not do. The consistent answer I was told by multiple people at Uhaul was that's not our problem. Not Sure what the point is of making a reservation receiving an email saying that I'm guaranteed a 26 foot truck at a certain location for them to call and change it multiple times and completely unwilling to do anything to help. In addition to moving it's really difficult when you can't get a truck that you reserved weeks ahead of time and no one is willing to do anything to help you. I would rather spend a ton of money than ever deal with anything like that again will absolutely never use U-Haul or recommend them ever completely terrible customer service completely terrible everything worst company everJAMES V.

I only have one BIG issue, when i was waiting for a uhual employee another customer came in without a face mask, i felt threatened and was concerned for my safety. If i were working there at uhaul i would protect my customers and coworkers by no mask no service as this is state law. I have a couple of issues. I thought the online process was was smooth and easy until the alarm on my unit went off every time I opened it. I asked some employees about it and they told me the access code I was given via email doesn't do anything I needed an access card, to which they gave me. Now that I had my access card ( which wasn't mentioned as part of the online purchase process) I assumed my alarm issues would be solved. Wrong again. The alarm still goes off every time I open my unit. Then I come to find out that my unit has a wiring problem and is crossed up with another unit. So when I check into my unit I am deactivating the alarm for another unit, and some other unit deactivates my alarm. This is very annoying and discomforting. It defeats the purpose of the alarm in the first place. I was also informed that the issue "should be resolved in a few months". If I hadn't already filled most of the unit I probably would have canceled due to this issue. On a side note, the employees were very helpful and friendly.Steven F. | Online Move In
