The young man was very nice and polite. But when he hoop up the electrical there was an issue but thought it was corrected but the electrical quit and had to bring it back before dark and never got to use the trailer.DENNIS JAMES P.

Super friendly and very helpful. Realized I left my phone in the console and porter was already trying to get ahold of me /backup contact as I was walking in the door (after I realized what I had done). When I picked up the truck, the person who waited on me explained that I would need to bring the truck back with a full tank of gas or I would be charged over $4 per. gallon. Keep in mind the tank at the time was slightly over 1/4 of a tank at pick up. So, making sure I would not be charged $4 per gallon of gas, I did what I was told to do. The problem is that I later learned upon dropping off at the destination location this is not U-Haul policy. Instead, I was only required to bring back at the same gas level as pick up. This really upsets me, I am now out apx. $80 plus dollars due to misinformation from the pickup location. I will not use U-Haul ever again in the future because U-Haul does not give back refunds, even though I have a pic of the gas levels upon pickup and drop off. In addition, I will advise those around me to not use their services as well.RICHARD JAY E.

I didnt like that personnel tries pushing you off to Online; while you are standing at the desk- I dont rent trucks every day, so I wasnt familiar with the online system. For a truck with 100,000 miles- you couldnt tell it from brand-new. Spectacular truck. The check-in personnel at night was excellent and very freindly.SHAWN PARRIS S.

Trying to make a reservation online from the Uhaul website is a huge waste of time, however. After finding the right size truck at a good location and making the reservation, I get called by the regional representative saying the website lied and that truck is not available at that location - every time! (I rent twice a year.) If this keeps up, I'm going with someone else...David R.

Better (corporate) on line options when looking for rental. ie: if you wanted to rent for more than standard 3 days, talk to rental agent, etc.JOHN V.

I scheduled the time period that I needed it for, but the reservation was 9 hours later and I was never told! I received an email confirmation with no time. When I went to pick the truck up at the time that I had put in while making the reservation, the lady working said it wasn't there and, "We can't all get what we want now can we?" Bigger trucks were available and I asked if I had to pay the additional cost since the truck I had requested was not there. She laughed at me and said no. Poor customer service! A hand cart was strapped onto the truck when I didn't need one and I was told I would have to pay extra for it, although I didn't have to pay for that.Jamie S.

Trailer right side turn signal & brake light did not work. I was told it was up to me if I wanted to take it. No other trailers that size were available. No attempt to make it legal to use, no discount offered.JAMES RALPH D.
Wasn't told certain things. Charged a fee because I didn't know about after hours check in, returned the truck 18 hrs early. Put gas in it and it was more than what was in there and was told did I take a picture! Guess, that should of been told to me as well. 220.00 later I'll never rent a truck again. I've rented previous several trucks and never have had these outrages fees, bull crap said to me and when your manager didn't like the questions nor my tone hung up on me repeatedly as I asked for her bosses name and hers ( Tammy ). I also required another storage unit elsewhere a few months ago. Just cause of the fact, this location in Monroe mi is ridiculous as far as locks, lock smiths, fees, cleanliness and or how the back looks as far as glass broken trailers put here there. I've had this uhual storage for 5 years now and so fed up I've went to pirates cove. Bigger unit and cheaper, employees are not rude, area is free of clutter and or debri and glass! So eventually I'll be there fully and ending my service with uhaul after this rental fiasco and how rude and incompetent the employees are!Jennifer B.

I reserved the truck almost 3 wks prior me needing it. Reserved it at the Inkster, MI location. The night before UHaul called me to confirm and tell me my 20' truck would need to be picked up in Taylor, MI now instead of the Inkster, MI UHaul location. At about 7:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 25th, UHaul calls me to tell me they don't have a truck for me to pick up at Taylor location now. I can either go to Monroe, MI which is about 40 miles from my house or Ann Arbor, MI which is probably 30 miles to pick up a truck. What kind of customer service is this!! I wasn't about to leave my car in Monroe or Ann Arbor when I picked up the truck. So I had to find someone to drive me to Monroe. Which was not easy for me to find someone. Not only did UHaul inconvenience me but this change in pick up locations screwed up my entire day of moving because I had to get a ride 40 miles to get the damn truck. Yes, they gave me a $50 credit on my bill, BIG DEAL!!! You inconvenienced me a GREAT DEAL. I'm very disgusted with the fact I reserved online ahead of time and the morning I plan to move UHaul calls and inconveniences me by NOT HAVING the truck I reserved at the location or near the location of the original rental. Not very good customer service and not a good way to do business!!!KATHY ANN M.

customer service was horrible, the manager should be fired, my truck leaked on a 1400 mile trip from Florida to Michigan from heavy rain storms. manager was rude and did not apologize for our property that had gotten wet. claim was filed and denied. family photos stained and ruined and un replaceable items lost..so disappointed!!!!!!John B.
