I literally told the guy on the phone I need to go up a steep driveway with snow and ice. I asked if it would make it and how good it gets around in that situation, or if I need to get chains. He said I wouldn't have a problem. So I didn't get chains and I picked the U-Haul up at closing, I drove to the location and couldn't make it up the driveway. I needed chains and everything was closed so needless to say I couldn't get any. The nice guy who had walked to work in -24 degree weather and checked the U-Haul in was very nice with great customer service, I appreciate it ..after the nightmare of a trip.he said it would be $99.00. but my bank statement still says 242.00. I think even 99 was to much and u-haul could use more people like the one that walked to work and less people like the one that said don't worry about it.if he really doesn't know , then he really should never tell people that. Especially a woman. Who will have to back down a real steep hill in a giant truck. I'm going to need the truck again very soon , but I really feel cheated and am having a problem renting from U-Haul . No one tryed to make it right.

The truck had little heat and no air conditioning. When we left Montana, the windshield wipers would not work (no heat for the defrost) and we had to stop and scrape the windshield many times in a snow storm. Later that day in Idaho and Nevada, we needed the AC and it blew warm air as if coming from the engine. After driving it, the engine had a bad smell like it was really hot. The next day in Arizona, we needed the air more, but it still didn't work.

Mileage rate given during my reservation was wrong (told 59 cents/mile but charged 89). Told gas tank was full but I put 35 gallons in it to drive less than 300 miles, so it clearly wasn't. Cost to drive one-way was more more than round trip because of dropoff charge. Overall, a good store with helpful people but I feel nickel and dimed.

Service has been pretty awful throughout Montana with uhaul. A customer should never have to go through what our family has been through on this rental trip. I am completely disgusted with this 1 out of 5 stars service I have received from U Haul.

My review was a little tough to give... When I first pulled up to your location I was greeted by a very friendly individual who was super helpful and just seemed happy to be there. As he began checking my rental in, he noticed I had forgotten to fill the tank to full, so he let me run to a gas station around the corner to fill it up. Upon returning, the individual who assisted me was a complete 180 from the first employee I was working with. This employee, I believe his name is Chad, felt it was okay to let me know that he was “f*****g pissed at his a*****e coworkers who went and got lunch with out him.” He then proceeded to use the F word about 4 to 5 more times in the few short minutes it took to check my rental in. Once the check in was complete he told me word for word “You don't owe us a god dam thing, so you can get the hell out of here” Now I'm a grown up and those words don't necessarily offend me and I've used them before myself, however I could never imagine using those words in a professional setting during a business transaction. Unfortunately, I am unable to recall the name of the first individual that assisted me, as his attitude and overall demeanor were both very friendly and welcoming. This employee was the only reason I didn't put the service as poor. At the end of the day, I'll still continue to use Uhaul when needed, just not impressed with this individual.

This is undoubtedly the most cramped quarters for the amount of GREAT business that they do. I always get very nervous because of all of the big trucks and little space. The workers are great..wonderful service and friendly and helpful...I wouldn't go anywhere else.

When we picked up the truck, the agent helping us was fantastic! He was informative, kind, helpful, and extremely thorough. Unfortunately, when we dropped the truck off at the same location the next day, the agent helping us return it was not wearing a mask. We were outside, but he was wearing one around his neck so it seems he forgot to put it around his mouth and nose or made a choice to not. Regardless, I think it's important to remind your staff to wear masks at all times given the current pandemic. Otherwise, the service and truck was great. Thank you!

I had a lot of trouble with my reservation and getting the truck. I ended up picking it up two days early (because of a holiday and wanting to make sure it was there when I HAD to have it). I had to pick it up from a different location. My original reservation got cancelled (not by me) and the person who reserved it for me told me I could have the extra days for free but because it disappeared there was no record of it. This location didn't care and charged me an extra day for being four hours late returning the truck. It was a very stressful, horrible experience for a cross country move. I would use another company if I had to do it over again.

Van I rented had a low tire when I picked it up. They filled it. Next morning I had to stop again for air. Made 150 miles before light came on again. Called Missoula store. Told to call the 800 number, which I did twice. No answer and no response to email. Stopped at Uhaul store in Idaho, they put air in but could not replace tire, or repair. Had to stop on the way back at Coeur d'Alene To add more air the second time. I was going to keep the van two days But with unresolved tire issues I returned it. Very unsatisfactory service.

STAFF HAD ME HOOK UP TO A FILTHY TRAILER. 2 DIFFERENT BRAKE LIGHTS ON TRAILER AND HAD INOP CLEARANCE LIGHT. STAFF SENT ME A LINK TO DO A "VIRTUAL WALK AROUND". ALL THE PICTURES THAT PRELOADED WERE OF A FRESHLY WASHED TRAILER. MINE WAS COVERED IN MUD ALL THE WAY AROUND. WHEELS PACKED WITH MUD. OIL OR DIESEL FUEL SPILLED ON THE INSIDE OF THE TRAILER. HAD TO SPEND 15 MINUTES ON THE APP TAKING FRESH PICTURES AND DISPUTING THE CONDITION OF THE TRAILER IN THE APP. HAD TO TAKE TRAILER TO CAR WASH TO CLEAN BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF TRAILER BEFORE I COULD PLACE MY GOODS IN THERE. I HAVE RENTED FROM UHAUL MANY TIMES AND HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. THERE WERE PLENTY OF OTHER TRAILERS MY SIZE IN THE LOT THAT WERE CLEAN AND READY. VERY DISSATISFIED.

I love u haul wonderful place and people to deal with and they will find any way to go above and beyond to help you out with anything and especially Chad My reservation was it until two and he let me take one of the transport trailers and Chad told me that I have to have it back by 330 and that is a wonderful customer service and I was back at 230 with the transport trailer and on a different note when I asked One of the other people I was in the store because the trailer I was supposed to use was not back in town to and then Chad asked Chris to go move those other trailers away from those other car hauler trailers and Chris yelled at Chad in front of customers Chad stayed calm cool and collective and that is not the first time that I have seen Chris yell at his co workers and it is very unacceptable thanks u haul family

I've got another review upcoming once I get the invite from today's rental. I've spent 90K to 100K on trucks at this location over the last 5 years, (I own a moving company) but now Budget and Enterprise get my business. Manager wearing a baby in a front pack not a good look, as well as the fuel reimbursement charge after I put fuel lever where it was upon departure.

I was suppose to drop my rental off in Kalispell but because of bad roads in Polson I called and had it changed to Missoula. Upon arrival to Missoula strand location I was informed that the roads were not bad. How the employee knew specific road conditions 60 miles away while at work is beyond me. He was very arrogant and a real smartass he should ZERO customer service skills. He even said welcome to Montana in a smartass tone. I been in this area alot longer than he has been alive....... If you ever need a uhaul use a different location.

I was told to drop off my truck at one location, but when I checked with them, they said they NO LONGER ACCEPT RETURNS. So I spent a couple hours trying to get through to U-haul. I never got a person to answer in my calls. I tried to stop at other locations but no one would take the truck. I finally took it to Missoula and went to the biggest place. They had to take it. No one is leaving the area. No one wants these trucks. You need to help this situation and ship some trucks elsewhere.
