The agent was set on charging me for gas even though I was very close to the amount on check out. Then he picked an arbitrary number of gallons to charge me for based on nothing. Otherwise the location was nice.

Gas tank was half full and I was required to bring the truck back with "the same level of gas otherwise the extra gas will not be reimbursed". You need to give us the truck with full tank; customers are charged above the market if they don't put gas so you have to full the tank when you charge the customers. This is not acceptable.

Not sure if this something you can change due to where the location is but the first thing that a driver of the truck has to do is back up the truck out of the very narrow parking lot. It wasn't a problem for me but I could see some people get really stressed about it. I see 2 possible solutions Ask a employee and they could get the truck out of the right parking lot then hand it over. Or When parking the trucks turn then around in the parking spots so you don't have to back up and can drive straight out.

I don't know if this is location based but we reserved a 15' truck and we're told day before there wasn't one available and we were offered a 10'. I asked if that would be big enough for a 1 bedroom apartments they said yes and it definitely was NOT. Instead of offering a smaller truck they should have offered a bigger one as a courtesy

The pick up day was outstanding. It was not particularly busy, only a few people in line. However, that allowed me to observe an employee and a manager interacting with other customers and a manager assisted me when it was my turn. It was fast, courteous service, and all the rules were laid out quickly and in an understandable fashion. I was unaware of this location prior to this rental but I will seek it out in the future to rent and possibly store things in the future. In word, it was an outstanding experience.

I was told that the tank on my 15 footer was full. I drove it 7 miles in an in-town move and had to pay 35 dollars in gas. When I brought it up, it seems like they tried to pass the buck on me and haven't tried to contact or reimburse me yet.

The truck I rented if you didn't slam and I mean slam the driver's door hard it would pop open on the freeway it popped open on me the 15 to the 52 freeway and scared the crap out of me to it back and got a trailer from Home Depot the the guy who accepts the returns and he did not seemed to shocked about it considering it is a safety issue

Vehicle was clean but it was an Old clunky vehicle that was hard to handle with no rear view camera land the service tires light came on. No rear view camera is dangerous! Plus they charged me for four gallons of gas I don't agree they should have I just didn't feel like disputing. I won't be back.

Well I had set up this rental about a month in advance to pick up a 15ft truck five minutes from my house in Vista. Two days before I got a call and they changed my pick up to 30 minutes away in Poway. The very next day and day before my move I got another call to change it to 40 minutes away and in the wrong direction. Uhaul should know that the most stressful time can be through a move and all they did was tack on extra miles. That does not help me at all. I wanted my gas comped and talked to a manager who told me that uhaul doesn't comp gas. Basically I got zero help at all. I have a 6 month pregnant wife and I trying to do this move and this was the worst uhaul experience. Also when I picked up the truck, no one did a walk through with me. They just said where the truck was and that was it. A cardboard sign was still on the windshield and after I pulled away I received a text stating that I should check the vehicle for safety. I am a veteran and have moved several times and this was by far the worst experience.

Add restraining chains to the trailer door to prevent it from opening all the way to the ground. The door slipped and crushed one of my toes. A restraining chain would have easily prevented this from happening. I spent hours in the ER and experienced incredible pain.

The Manager and the male behind the counter that assisted me were communicative prior to my arrival, when I arrived and during the time I was there. They were very attentive to my need, let me choose my space from a map he has highlighted prior to my arrival, I let him know what I needed and he pointed my to the best one available that met my needs. I had been stressing out about the move because I sold my house and promised to be out for the buyers by 8/31 but my escrow still have closed on my new home so I had been staying up until 2-3am the few days before the actual move day and was running behind schedule. They were very accommodating and changed the MI date from 8/31 to 9/1 and gave me a few hours grace period on the truck return. They put me at ease had that had a really positive impact on my move into storage. Sal the check in attendant was excellent as well. Over all I received excellent customer service above and beyond of what I was expecting given my past experiences. Thank you!
