1.)location change email within 2 hours of Van pickup I got an email location change 2 hours before pickup time. 2.) Unable to use internet at location even though I had full service.maybe in the future you're customers can also connect into some sort of Wi-Fi once they arrive at the lot.I walk to Starbucks two times to get their Wi-Fi service. 3.)I could not find the van assigned to me. It was unclear what part of the parking lot to find these van. I thought there was only one row of vans. I asked the front desk and they said they could not help me with online orders. 4.) I left the facility two and a half hours after my original pick up time. 5.) I had to cancel my online order and just get one from the person at the desk. They quickly got me into the van I was assigned. But I could not find it where I thought the online orders were parked. 6. The rear cargo door was locked even though it was unlocking visually with the key. Then when I brought it back to the facility it would not lock. And the attendant made note of that.I was unable to make two trips I could only make one trip because we were trying to unpack the van through the side door. 7.) Please consider giving me a discounted day 6 or 8 hours? About the same amount of mileage. I need to make one more run sometime before or on August 2nd. I would like it to be from the Powell at 49th in Southeast Portland. The long version: At 7 this morning I got an email telling me to go to a part of town to pick up the van. I could not pick up a van at the location promised in my reservation. I called to get another location assigned to me. There is no parking for a car long-term without paying for it at the Northwest Johnson location . But every turn I was able to contact a customer service person right away. But time dragged on by the time I left the lot with a van it was two hours past the time I was supposed to be picking up the van. I could not find the van I was not directed to what part of the lot to look for the online vans. the app did not work in the parking lot even though I had full cell service. So I had to go to a Starbucks a block away install the app.. Then the app would not allow me to take a picture of my driver's license. Oregon has new licenses that have holograms on them or something to that effect. And then when there was some sort of shape recognition moment to verify me I couldn't see the directions it just showed me the shapes. later I found out my contact person could not take the phone call when u haul tried to call to verify me. So I had the order cancelled and placed the order inside. the chat person during the online process was very helpful and clear and did not waste my time or U-Hauls time.. The band itself drove perfectly and was exactly what I needed for the size. We were unable to so open the back cargo door. The locks are broken. We had no support to deal with this sweet accidentally or unable to open the doors o

We have always used this location for moving and trailer tow receivers , The manager here is wonderful and he is always working very hard , give him a raise , some time off and a promotionIts all about quality people don’t lose this guy !!!!!

I called the online and made a reservation in Fairview, they did not have the truck and sent me to Foster and 82 nd. When I got there they didn’t have a 26 foot truck either. The woman there call and found us a truck in Mileaukie. It was a long run around but got our 2nd truck we needed.

I came into the store to pick up my rental and the person behind the counter thought it was more important to count his till than help me. I had to wait at least 10 mins while he finished. My time is valuable and its never ok to make a customer wait so you can count a till.

Great job by everyone at Milwaukie, OR U-haul. Spoke with Ron Ramaeker, the General Manager, several times because I had to change by order a couple times. He was very accommodating and made my changes without and problems. The driver who deilvered and pickup my box arrived on time at did a good job as space was limited on the street I was on. Great job by the Milwaukie, Or U-Haul men and women.

the truck I rented was not rerented until the next morning and I was told that if I did not get it back by 7:00PM that I would be charged, I do not see what the big rush was seeing I brought the truck back clean and in the same condition as I received it, with traffic and all it was really an inconvenience other than that everything else was great.

Shop was too busy to complete my install and I was not given my ball hitch at check out. No one explained wiring location. It was not installed correctly as I learned when I was traveling to the coast the next day that I do not have a right turn signal front or back I will be bringing vehicle back again to have this corrected within the next few days!

Although the desk person was great and the rental process straightforward, the pick up/drop off of the trailer itself was a nightmare. There was no rhyme or reason to how the very tight lot was organized and it was almost impossible to navigate a 12 ft trailer in or out when there were people picking up equipment and others returning trucks, trailers etc with no clearly designated area for either of those activities. I saw people hitting equipment into other vehicles/trailers; others unable to turn around and no one was monitoring the lot. Although this location is close to my home, I will not be returning due to the chaotic lot situation. I am quite familiar with driving larger vehicles (CDL); those less experienced folks will really struggle during the busy hours to safely pick up/drop off equipment. Uhaul should really figure out a better way to organize the space AND have someone out in the lot during busy times to facilitate.

The service at U-Haul offices is always very slow. You need to hire more staff, especially on weekends. It's very frustrating. Then the people I had helping me were not very communicative. They would leave the counter during our transaction and not tell me what was going on. If I didn't ask all the right questions, it was hard to get an answer. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and nice. The facilities were clean.

Absolutely a nightmare that I had to deal with this location because they hooked up the trailer I dropped of to someone else's vehicle and didn't check it in so I was called and said it wasn't at the lot then I had to spend hours trying to track down someone to help me find what their employee did wrong. I spent hours on the phone trying to get this locations help and had to stress out absolutely horrible and unacceptable I will never go through uhaul again

Your parking situation is almost nonexistent for starters. I must of came in at very a busy time because it took 30 minutes to help me. My apt was at 10, I was there 9:50AM didnt get helpped until 10:20AM. Then the GM spoke to me in such a demeanor that was very off putting. I was there to have electrical hard wired into my car for towing. He harshly said to me. "I'm not going to do it. I dont want to do it"! Then there was a an awkward pause where I looked at his confused. I finally asked, why? Then he repeated, "because I don't want to do it". Which was so peculiar because I had made this apt to have that done specifically. Finally he followed up with, "I'm going to do a quick connect instead. Easier and cheaper". At that point I was only caring about getting the same end result. So I left the car with them. Took them an hr, which I think is actually quite fast, but the whole situation could have been handled better. Then when it came to pay, the card I gave them the night before, for the apt today was no longer on file. Which was just another thing that was upsetting. When inspecting the work that was done and not finding the wires for the new trailer hook up, I had to go back in and ask the GM to show me where they were. Which he did and I went on my way. They were placed inside the spare tire storage area. Not by the trailer hitch. At this point I'm just done and wanting to leave with my car. Out of all the plethora of experiences I have had with UHAUL, this was the worst. 2 out of 5 stars is being generous.

Make sure the correct keys are in the correct box. It defeats the purpose of self-service if you receive the keys to the wrong vehicle.

I walk in on a bad day. The U-haul employees were professional and friendly, but the customer before me was difficult and seemed a bit stupid, therefore requiring a ton of patience from the U-Haul staff and everyone waiting in line behind them. My truck was clean and stocked with the accessories I'd requested. My truck also had an issue with the passenger side mirror that I didn't notice until I was on the road. The mirror seemed to drift while driving, always wanting to point toward the back tire instead of the road behind me. When I got to my drop-off location, I informed the employee about the mirror so hopefully that issue will be fixed. As far as solving the problem of dumb customers---I don't think U-Haul can do anything about that. The whole world is filling up with dumb people and sadly, we all need to shoulder that burden. All in all, my experience was average. I got what I expected, mostly.

Long wait times, even though I was using mobile checkout. Staff not able or didn't have time to answer questions. Would avoid in the future, especially mobile checkout. It didn't save any time, with all the required photos, and undocumented damage on vehicles, and that we had to stand in line anyway. Location seriously understaffed. (Maybe because they think mobile checkout makes employees obsolete?)

The return process overnight is rediculous. It takes you almost 1/2 hour through your phone. I finally gave up and just tossed the key in the slot.

I stood in line for 90 minutes due to it being a holiday week. Part of the problem was the staff patiently working with a computer problem working with a financial I stitution link. A woman was having trouble getting approved. Several people walked out before being served. The staff needs to be praised for their helping and customer serving.

The staff was most unhelpful and could not care less about their customers. I ordered my uhaul online and was having trouble getting the truck and there was absolutely no customer service. They told me they could not help me because I ordered online. There was no direction at all and I had to call Uhaul hotline to get help in a uhaul pickup site! Very disappointing.

Ron and his team, including Andres, were swamped but Ron still found time to help me and my sister get our trailer. The self return process over my smartphone was rather easy! It taught me how to take the trailer off my vehicle so that I didn’t hurt my hitch! I was able to make sure the right card got charged the right amount with the self return on the app. Ron told me that I could also do it online at uhaul.com/share if I didn’t have the app.

I just moved to Portland, OR on 4/7. I refuse to deal with any other U-haul service other than Ron and Jesse at this location. I had such an awful experience with the La Palma location in Chino, CA. Jesse at the McLoughlin location in Milwaukee ended up redeeming my experience with U-haul. Jesse was absolutely warm, excellent, knowledgeable, she went above and beyond and has a great work ethic. Jesse gave me one of the very best customer service experiences that I've ever had anywhere. I will only deal with Jesse for any of my storage and U-haul needs while here in Portland, OR.

I have been charged 3 times for the rental, on the credit card I used. They told me this was going to be off set by credits. I explained to the employee this was not right but gave him my CC back anyway. STILL NO CREDITS AS OF TODAY! The trailer the employee hooked up came off causing damage to my truck. I have filed a claim but am STILL waiting. The process seems to cause more headache to the customer. The employee did NOT follow the UHAUL policy. DID NOT apologize for the issue and told the ASST MGR in front of me that I was rushing him. Really??? NOW I have damage to my 2018 Dodge. The Asst. Mgr. made sure I knew she was helping me instead of eating her lunch. Here is an Idea. Why would any of this be my fault. All I wanted to due was rent a transport. During that time several potential customers came in, but left when they got tired of waiting. I would have also left, but we had a deadline to meet. Service was also SLOW when we returned our truck, so we just left our keys. Regarding the next visit -- there will not be one - I will rent my vehicles elsewhere.

I haven't rented three three times from this location the first time the truck was halfway full and was marked full the second time the brake light would go off making a loud sound and the teuck was in horrible condition the third time the truck would die when attempting to start also was in horrible condition there were many other problems to many to name i could go on!

The worst crew I have ever worked with so so RUDE THE BOYS, they get in the u haul truck and BURN THE TIRES NOT THERE TRUCK , YOURS U HAUL. THE DOORS ARE NEVER OPENED You HAVE TO CHASE Someone DOWN!!
