The Uhaul at Sheridan, Tulsa location where I picked up trailer needs help. I, the only customer there at first, stood waiting about 10 minutes for the â€œright personâ€ to help me. The young lady cleaning the floors was kind and apologetic, reassuring all of us who were waiting, that the one person who could help us was coming soon. When that person showed up, there were 6 waiting for help. She was running herself ragged doing the paperwork and then going outside and hooking up the rentals. I felt bad for her. At the Casper site, it was a very quick and easy return. Very pleasant young man helped me. I would highly recommend both sites as long as the Tulsa one gets additional employees.ROBBIN H.
Things went great. Just had a bit of a wait to get the truck, so one thing you could do is let the time limit (6 hrs for me) begin when you gain posession of the vehicle. I was there until almost 10am and then they still said it was due back 6 hours from now at 3 (that is only 5 hours due to the length of time checking out.)charles C.

My experience with the UHaul location at 3500 s Sheridan has been horrible. After my hour wait, it was my turn. I went in hopeful that my experience would be smooth. After all, I only needed to return my trailer and get access to my storage unit I had reserved about a month ago. I showed up 30 minutes before my movers were to arrive so I was already 30 minutes into them sitting around doing nothing. When he rudely asked what I needed, I explained that I needed to drop off my auto transport and get access to my storage unit, I also informed him that I had my reservation numbers for both items. He asked what size unit I needed and I explained that I had a reservation for a 10x15. He then rudely shoved a piece of paper with a bunch of scribbles on in it to my face and said "I don't have any units in that size available. see, look here". I tried to explain that I had a reservation and asked if he could look into it while he rudely yelled "NEXT". I reminded him that I still would like my trailer returned. He then asked me for the trailer number for my AT. I told him that I didn't have that in front of me but maybe I could pull it up on my phone. He tried pulling it up on his computer under my name but couldn't find it. At first he tried telling me I must of had the wrong location but I showed him my phone listing his location but for Monday. I know I was early but I needed to just get it out of the way to unload the truck. He then asked his helper I guess? The guy didn't interact with customers directly. He went out and got a number but for the wrong trailer because apparently I have an RT? I never understood the difference. William ended up going out after trying to send his helper 3 different times. He came back in and said it was all checked in. I asked him if he could print me some proof because it still showed it was still under my reservation. He tried pulling it up on the computer again but couldn't. he ended up being able to print out a form that didn't show anything with my name on it and it even showed him as a customer. I will attach it here. He also mentioned that I would get an email. I then asked again about a storage unit because I had all my movers there and needed to offload my truck. He mentioned he had one in the system but the GM had it either reserved or it wasn't cleaned yet. William mumbled when he told me. I said I didn't care, I needed a unit. He then took my insurance money and assigned me unit 1396. I backed my truck up to the storage area and slide the ramp open. I quickly told my movers to hold on until I get eyes on my unit. I'm glad I did because there was a padlock on my supposed unit. So I left the truck parked there, told them to wait and walked all the way around the building to the office. When I walked in, I stood off to the side of the line towards the desk and explained that there was a lock on my unit and needed to know if that it could either be removed or a new unit assigned to me. He then looked around for some keys that he couldn't seem to find and after a few seconds of looking, he went back to helping the customer at his desk. I patiently waited since I was on hold with uhaul to discuss my trailer dropoff since I didnt feel confident he completed it correctly. After he finished with that customer, he just jumped to the next one. I know that I "jumped" the line but I was just in there and didn't want to wait another hour just to get what I originally came in for. After 30 more minutes and more people joining the line, I gave up on my uhaul call and started calling other storage places. I couldn't afford to pay my movers all day for them to stand and do nothing. Unfortunately I couldnt find anything nearby. I then got in the back of the line and waited. My wife then called her grandmother and asked if we could move her cars out of her garage and put our stuff there. She was very reluctant because her husband (grandpa) and sister (grandaunt) have a hard time getting to the car when it's in the driveway due to their disabilities. With no other options in sight though, we were going to make it work. After standing in line again for another 30 minutes while on hold with uhaul again, I finally get up to William and asked him for an update regarding my storage unit. He said if it was locked there was nothing he could do. I had to ask him for a refund like he didn't know that was an option.. He was again, very short and never apologized for the inconvenience. I attached photos of the paperwork William gave me. I also will attach photos of the equipment being returned. I left the office at 11:30 and told people our new plan. We had one mover have to leave due a previous engagement so I had to pay him for doing nothing. While driving to the grandmothers house, I finally had a uhaul representative get on the line and I asked about my trailer dropoff. on her end, it didn't look like he had returned it and that she would make a note of it... I was overcharged. I picked up the truck with just over 3/4 of a tank of gas and returned it with just over 3/4 of a tank of gas. To charge me $6.30 is an insult. The attendant said "it has 15.### in it. Return it with that." It's not possible for me to know how many gallons were in it when I left, or what I returned it with. I honestly believed I returned it with more than I got it with. If you want fraction of a gallon precision, provide customers with the means to accommodate that.Frank W.

If you want to use the uhaul at 3500s Sheridan in Tulsa ok DON'T. There book keeping is awful. Had my trailer less than 24 hrs. Turned in after hours. Then several days later they said I did not returned trailer and was charged $451.69. That took several days to correct. Got a refund. Then days after that I was charged for another day of rental. After multiple calls with no success, finally got resolved. Rented the trailer on 8/29/21 and final resolution completed on 9/17/21. They never answer their phone and the call center can't help you. The rare times they answer their phone they would say â€œlet me look into this and I promise to call you back before the end of business day. End of business day no call back. My bill was so screwed up. I will never use Uhaul againBonnie G.

Everything but picking up and driving a UHaul truck can be done online the day or evening before you need it. Attendant knew the turning radius of each truck and put me in a 26 footer that had a turning radius better than a 20 footer. Very helpful having the larger truck that maneuvered fine through the skinny aisles at the storage facility. I will call UHaul the next time i need a big truck. GraciasWILLIAM J.

The facility is well kept for a storage facility. But the building was always too hot, usually above 80 degrees. In all fairness it never seemed to be above the 85 mark that it was promised to stay under but moving things around in a building that's 82 or 83 degrees is not a comfortable environment. The staff also seemed to be incompetent in the simplest task. The staff members I dealt with were either rude, unmotivated, complained about how much they didn't like their jobs or overshared information about their personal life with information that should have never been shared with a customer. Overall the facility seemed to well kept but I would not recommend this place to anyone I know because of the terrible customer service.Braden T. | First Impressions

I was supposed to have my hitch installed on August 21st after scheduling it on August 6th. When I arrived at the Uhaul location they were not expecting me (showed up at 9am per my drop off reservation). After they confirmed that my appointment was that day they told me they didn't have the hitch at the location to install. They asked me to wait 2 hrs while they called around to see if they could get my hitch. After 2 hrs they told me they would try to get it in the next week. I had little update for the next week and a half. Finally on Wednesday 9/1 they called me to come in and get it installed. I did not receive any customer discounts from the store even though I had to wait an additional 2.5 weeks after my initial appointment. I will not be recommending uhaul to any of my friends or family for hitch installations.Matthew V.

Our truck was on empty, after 2 miles. I put $25 in the tank. I went to a Owasso Oklahoma to try to get my second load, the truck broke down on the highway. The power steering went out and we almost wrecked the truck with my family in it. Then I was on hold for more than an hour and a half trying to get someone to help. Then when we took the keys back to the general manager at the 35th and Sheridan location, no apology, totally dismissive, and I was never reimbursed for my problems, and I didn't even get To finish my move and I am stuck without moving into my home. The van I rented was clean, but the check engine light was on, which worried me somewhat. The dude working the store was very friendly and helpful, but the app caused me much grief. Ultimately, I followed the instructions that the live person gave me instead of anything on the app. When I tried to check in via the app, it would not accept my photos that I uploaded. The customer service person who called me, and it was only a fluke that I even answered the phone because it was an unknown 1-800 number, said I needed to provide a passport and other identification methods that I didn't have with me when I was trying to pick up my van. My alternate contact was not approved even though he was right there with me. Upon return of the van, the app would not accept my photos of the dashboard. After much frustration, and encountering another customer returning a vehicle and having the same problems, I took photos of the van and dashboard just in case they were needed, locked the doors, and dropped the key in the drop box as per the simple instructions given by the guy who originally handed me the key. I think the other customer did the same as he said the app wasn't working for him, either. All in all, the staff at this location was super amazing and helpful; the app, not so much.Jennifer C.

The folks in the office were incredibly rude. We rented for 2 months. My debit card on file was hacked, and canceled. When they called me for payment (nearly $400) they waited 3 weeks to remove their locks, keeping me locked out of my 3 units. We tried 3 times, waited almost an hour once for them to come back. Then once we got inside we were missing 2 TV's, 2 bicycles, and several other items. We asked for a video footage and still haven't got it.Jerrid H. | Overall Experience

Had made a reservation on a Monday came to pick it up Sunday when scheduled during that day, and was told that none were available and then they had given out one to another customer. Then we'll send to another location and then told I was unscheduled and had to be rescheduled with a different vehicle I was able to get one that day but a smaller size. The vehicle cleanliness comes with an asteriskâ€¦ the truck was 90% fine. It smelled HORRIBLY like cigarette smoke and nothing I did could get it outâ€¦ being stuck in an ashtray for 5 days was not funâ€¦ Hopefully whomever did that to the truck got hammered with penalties. When we got the truck home, there was no lock and none of the additional things I paid for including the appliance dolly or furniture pads. The tank was empty and there was a hole in the corner that let water in. I called, and after an hour, spoke to one person who mumbled a few things before putting me on hold. She put me on hold again (without letting me know). I stayed on hold another hour before giving up. I tried again the next morning and stayed on hold for an hour and then gave up because I needed to focus on moving my stuff. I never received a refund for the missing items or the additional gas we left in the truck. I never got to talk to anyone to get this resolved because no one ever answered the phone.CAROLE G.
We unloaded our Uhaul into a storage unit on site. When we were leaving there was a huge storm and an employee in the storage unit told us to just park the truck outside and leave the keys in it. I didn't like how I was talked to by a UHAUL CSR- on Saturday. I received a letter stating I was late making my payment- although I had closed out the storage on 5/17; she kept talking over me- so I told her I didn't want to talk to her. She persisted, so I hung up on her! Cris Munoz said he closed out the account, onn5/17, but apparently something wasn't closed out. Its a long story but I rented at broken arrow store wasn't available sent me to 129th and 21st when I arrived was informed didnt know anything about it and haven't had a 26ft for 4 days. He told the reservation had been sent to the 35th and Sheridan. Get there and they gave me a truck that was a truck in really bad shape called back and they told i had to call go uhaul for service was phone held for 30 minutes. I called David at uhaul store at 169 and 51st. He had someone call me within 5 minutes and he came and worked on truck which he said he didn't know how it was even running. He got running took 4 hours to fix and by the time I drove to Oklahoma city it started acting up again, made it to Tulsa turned it in and told them what had happened and what the truck was doing. I would not send anyone to the 35th and Sheridan store. The 169th and 51st store is great.JOHN B.

I made reservations online for a 10x10x8 and storage wasn't available so I have to down grade. I also had reservations for a 15' moving truck and the assigned truck wasn't available. Staff had the key but couldn't locate the truck so he put me in a different truck that was returned by another customer during my time of checking in. Also billed for a a truck I didn't drive. The mileage and gas range doesn't match the truck the staff switch me to. Yesterday of many times renting from UHaul was absolutely a disaster.Shudreka N. | First Impressions
My order reservation was incomplete. I specifically arranged for three dollies to be inside the truck for a 6:00 a.m. pick up. The dollies and pads were not inside the truck. I had to wait until the store opened to get the dollies, one of which they didn't even have in stock. This put me over an hour behind. Then the back door of the truck broke, became unspooled and had to be repaired. This took two hours to arrange and two hours to repair. At least five or six hours of this day was wasted waiting on Uhaul to complete the reservation. I want a full refund.Amy L.
The Personnel at this U-Haul were fantastic. They were short-staffed and still method needs of the customers. My issue was with the fact that these employees did not have the support they needed. I don't know if it's management, or someone higher, but no U-Haul location should be short-staffed on a weekend in the summer. I lost my job because of covid. One month I received a letter that talked about selling my stuff because of lack of payment . I talked to the manager, and he said that as long as I kept him informed, he would work with me. It wouldn't do any good to sell my things, they would just have to throw them away. Then I received a notice of of selling my selling my things; that's when my nightmare started. I opted out for $0. I sent in my driver's license and waited for a form to be sent to me to sign to sign and send back. However, The form I received Was incorrect it was for the full amount. I kept messages messaging that I needed the corrected form but the manager would never reply. I can only presume my things have been trashed. I still don't have a job but I start one hopefully August 1st. I would have to have a hutch attached to my vehicle since I couldn't get two men and a truck to respond. I lost luggage, clothing and some momentos of my deceased mother. I only asked for help and patience till I could get back to Tulsa to get everything out of the unit. Have the truck available when it's reserved in advance and don't give a larger truck in very poor condition "needing an oil change" to anyone. The owner said he would honor the $29.95 rate for the 17' truck I reserved when using the 26' replacement truck, but the $39.95 rate was charged upon returning this truck. On a summer day with a heat index of 105 degrees F. this replacement truck had no A/C working, it nearly died on highway after crossing a rough bridge surface, and the front end suspension was really rough for over 159,000 odometer miles. The exterior was very damaged all around, but the the cab was clean. They have the wrong move out date on here. I moved out on July 7th not July 22nd. Everytime I came in the building to check on the amount owed I would get a run around. The unit itself was great! I just don't think majority of the people that work there know what they are doing. I still haven't received a receipt to my email and no one has contacted me about anything. I rented a 6x12 open trailer at one location on the phone. When I got there they said it was at another location. When I drove there i waited for quite a while inside with no personnel. I was so pleastly surprised at how easy the move in process was. We were greeted by William who was so beyond helpful! He gave us a tour and show us yo our storage. He made sure we understood the alarm system and knew where to load and unload for the easiest route to the locker. Between the chicken sh*t "Owner" Chris who we found out lied on multiple occasions, to constantly being over billed (billed twice watch month) empty promises, theft. I am not blaming uhaul for the theft that occurred in my unit. However, I find it strange that the alarm system to the unit's we're mysteriously unarmed that night. Fron previous reviews this is the second time this has happened. Then I moved to an inside more secure unit. My access card never worked and then I find out that they changed the access hours to during office business hours only. It would have been nice too have been told instead of making several trips trying to get in. I would not recommend this location- they have poor customer service- I even observed the Mgr Chris Munoz tell a customer that his propane filler was down and sent her to another location. The only issue I had was lack of communication between the uhaul employees what I mean by that is that my debit card was used over the phone to one place but then I use my debit card at the store but it's only showing that my debit card was used once and it doesn't show that it was ever used again for another amount so it just basically looks like I didn't pay a and that's not the case but otherwise I mean they really try to help get the situation taken care of as much as possible you just have to have a lot of proof of what you've done and what you have so but otherwise pretty coolJacquelin M. | First Impressions
I am just very disappointed. I have 3 existing units and was just adding a 4th. I literally walked up and down the floors 4or 5 times going to wrong units- after being on the road for hours. I am alarmed the emergency call bottom had no response. How is that secure and safe environment if there is no response. I called because the alarm kept going off. The person who took my initial call was curtious , knowledgeable, and efficient to my need... we even laughed it was so pleasurable to have the stress of the day relieved. I called because I needed to find a unit fast and a unit not to far from where I was moving from and get to work. My previous Storage was vandalized and just a mess but in less than a few minutes the young lady had a unit reserved a truck just in case and conformation numbers ready and we laughed . When I got to the actual midtown location I was greeted with a smile and response of urgency to meet my needs. Had the grand tour to my selected storage spot and a few chuckles along the way, I throughly understood what... how to operate and the young man was very kind. I left mid town feeling a sence of satisfaction and gratitude as I went to work feeling all the stress of the morning was defeated by the kindness that I received from these total strangers...
