Front Desk woman was absolutely awful - no customer service acumen. Tried to saddle me with a truck with less than quarter tank of gas and when I mentioned we did not want any issues on the road and asked for a truck with more fuel she gave absolutely unprofessional attitude. Terrible employee expect better from Uhaul which I have not had any issues before and only pleasant experiences.

Don't rape your customer’s pocket!!! Charge me another day an extra mile for being after my 48 hour drop off time when I had to drove 45 mins to the location uhual asked to have dropped off not the one 15 mins away in town. I do you a favor an you charge me a extra $40... that's bullshit. I tried calling the location to resolve the situation, the ladie i spoke to was very rude to me and wouldn't help or seem to care. I will not recommend you or your services to no anyone. I will let everyone on Google know your a bunch of rude scam artists that rape their customers pockets for every penny they have!!!! Absolute the worst Uhaul experience ever! I picked up the truck and it only had 1/4 tank of fuel exactly with dash showing 47 miles to empty. I drove a total of 21 miles and filled the truck up before I returned ($13.08) worth, returning the truck 30 minutes early with more than 1/4 tank and the dash showing 70 miles to empty. So I returned the vehicle with MORE fuel then when I picked it up and this location had the audacity to charge me $8.08 for fuel! I called and told I would have to come in and show proof of the fuel level and mileage before they could refund me, so I did and I was never refunded. I went down there twice with proof and walked out no refund even though they said they would since my pictures proved I was correct. Absolute crooks run this location. Also the truck was disgusting inside and out. AVOID THIS UHAUL LOCATION AT ALL COSTS!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Work on your customer service, cleanliness & vehicle upkeep. Our truck was filthy on the interior, candy wrappers left, sticky substances spilled, smelled awful, just extremely dirty. I was willing to overlook that part but then the heat would not come on on a chilly day. So we were already across town with no heat in a filthy UHaul. I called Tammy W to let her know, and her response was garbage - she would not proceed with a refund and said just bring it back - mind you we were already across town. Terrible attitude over the phone, employees rude and condescending, and did not offer to make anything right. We will never be using this Erie Blvd. location again, as their customer service and cleanliness were both disgusting. I will be reaching out to corporate regarding these issues.

Rented a trailer for a day. You get 24 hours.. dropped it off less than 8 hours of use.. GOT CHARGED FOR AN EXTRA DAY!!! Will never use again. Will never recommend again!!

The staff members were very friendly and did the best job that they could. It took 20 minutes to get checked in when there was no line due to either there being issues with the internet or with the company system. The staff members had mentioned that it had been like that most the day and apologized several times for it taking as long as it did. I commend them for their efforts to make the best of a difficult situations as they also mentioned it was far from the only time.

They explained everything to me and the equipment was fantastic as were they. This rental went as expected, but the one a week before, no. Returning the truck, I refilled the fuel to the checkout level; even returning to the cashier to put in an additional $5 over the $12 to make sure it was a smidgen above the checkout level. I had noticed that the truck seemed to be consuming fuel excessively on the way to the move site... From the gas station (little over a mile) back to the return I could see the Guage moving. When I dropped it off it was now a smidgen below the checkout level. I was charged an additional $19 .so I ended up paying $36 to go 38 total miles driven. I discussed it with management and after much back and forth and reviewing mileage and records, was refunded the $19. I know now to follow all checkout protocols, making sure any problems with the truck are gone over before leaving, and keep gas receipts and mile

Web site allowed me to reserve a van for a one way trip. Vans are not available for one way trips. Desk person sent me to another location for a box truck. The available truck was filthy and had bald tires. I called Uhaul 800 and was sent back to the original location for a box truck...jeez! Rented truck had transmission issues, but I made it to the destination safely.

The manager would not save my autopay information. She charged me three times for late fees because of mistakes on her end. We set up autopay at the beginning and twice more. We had to sit on hold with uhaul support for hours every time to contest the late fees. $15/90+ was waived. Absolutely frustrating. Do not recommend storing at this location.

The only reason I used this facility is due to its close proximity to student housing for my daughter. There is another U-Haul about 8 minutes away that I would give 5 stars. This facility location was 2 minutes away The website DOES NOT mention that the only ONE elevator is closed at 6pm and on weekends earlier. So I found out the hard way that I had to climb up 3 flights on narrow wooden staircases with boxes. Plus the elevator is a manual and requires lifting gates and turning a lever to go up and down. Elevator from the 30’s. And if the elevator is being used on the upper floor then you have to wait until it comes down by the operator or you can try asking for assistance from the office. Well good luck with that. I asked and had to find the elevator by myself. The owner and staff know they have a captive audience with students who are less reluctant to complain. I did told them that they should have put everything on the website. Their reply was no reply. I gave it 2 stars because in the end I managed and I didn’t have a heart attack.

They really gave me the most inconvenient storage unit 7 feet up when the one underneath was available and they shut the elevators down when I got there. On top of that the floor was so busted up the portable staircase was stuck in the floor. I’ve already spread the word this is not a good place to store your stuff..and I’ll continue to preach that to everyone I know.

Our unit was on the 7th floor and poorly lit, damp and freezing. Window out. Drafty. Drywall seperated and falling down in the unit. Entrance and parking was fine. I wouldn't advise fragil or cold sensitive items on the upper floors that have windows out. There is no heat and we paid for climate controlled thinking it was secured from the eliments and dampness.

You truly have angels working at your downtown Syracuse Erie blvd storage location. From the day I placed my things there to the day I retrieved them, your staff were truly amazing. I wish I had names to thank them more personally. It is hard to find caring and compassionate people and that is because they all work at that location. Please reward the staff in it’s entirety. They truly deserve it!

Not only did they charge me for a month of storage when I moved out 2 weeks prior, (even though they processed a refund) it was extremely inconvenient to my Christmas shopping for my daughter. But before this happened, I rented a truck and was charged for 3 days when I only used it for 2. And then charged twice and only refunded $30. I will never use this location again in my life and maybe won’t even use uhaul for rental. Two bad experiences in a 2 month span did it for me.

This storage place is horrible!! They don’t help the customers at all. In fact they were rude to me and my family. The elevator broke, had to wait 4.5 hours for it to be fixed. When it was finally fixed, the workers neglected to tell us it was fixed, the workers also neglected to tell other customers that we have been waiting all day long for the elevator to be fixed. If the workers weren’t so rude and disrespectful I would’ve given a better review. HIRE better UHAUL.

I like this storage facility. It's such a creative old building turned into storage. My unit was clean. I didn't have any problems with my unit. My biggest frustration was the building only had one freight elevator. My unit was on the 6th floor. If someone was moving in/out, you literally had to wait for them to unload/load a whole moving truck before you could use the elevator. I guess if you have small items, you could use the stairs and not wait for the elevator but with my unit being on the 6th floor, that was not about about happen. This building isn't extremely busy so if you don't have time restraints, then only having 1 freight elevator isn't that big of a deal. I rented the unit just under 4 weeks because I had to stay in a hotel while waiting for my apartment to get ready. On 2 occasions I had to come back to access my unit because someone was moving in/out. Overall I liked the storage facility and would recommend.

The Uhaul corporate web site fails to show this location. A phone call to Uhaul national reservations agent returned the false statement that this location is no longer in business. Please fix this!

It took a long time to process the reservation. I had one that got cancelled because I showed up a day later than my start date. Then I was placed in a unit that requires the portable staircase, which is not what I wanted. However, since it took over an hour to get to the unit because of the short staffed office I was not about to re-do the reservation.

They need to train new employees better before having them on their own. New guy put MY storage unit under my moms name when my mom was only supposed to be 1/3 contact person they require for unit. My mom was emailed my bill information and sent letters and I didn’t get anything when it’s my unit. Until, I called and complained that they had it messed up. Also, they never pick up the phone or give you a call back when call center sends them a message to do so.

The crew moved some awkward/heavy but delicate furniture from an existing unit to a new one to allow for proposed renovations. The scheduling/ coordination was seamless and prompt. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Many thanks to all. (My only suggestion is that the crew wear masks.)
