Improve the online reservation system. It was very confusing to use so I had to go inside to get the rental equipment that delayed me about 30 minutes. The staff was very helpful and made the process better than the online one!JOSEPH R.
This was not a good experience for me. I did speak with a representative yesterday. The staff at the MBurg location did the best they could but the truck was not up to standards. It was a very cold morning and as I opened the vent it fell off in my hand. The connection was not working so I could not upload the picture but I told the U-Haul staff. The windshield was filthy, The cab smelled like stale smoke. The wipers on the passenger side did not even make contact with the window, Once the truck was loaded I was doing a final walk around and there was large chunk missing from the sidewall of the tire and steel was exposed. I had to call roadside assistance and they changed the tire. This was all before we left the driveway. I have lost confidence in U-Haul and their vehicle inspection process. So disappointingElaine R.

Returned trailor @ 12:30 pm 3 hours early from my contract expiration. I was told I would have a email receipt Did not get one until I called 6 or 7 times I Think Uhaul Management should listen to the trail of calls Especially the one who claimed he was in Arizona... Telling me to wait and be patient until 5pm after I would be charged another day by that time... Telling me there was nothing he could do and I should be patient until later This guy needs to be re-trained or fired,,,, that is your call. This experience makes me consider renting from your composition if this is how uhaul now operates... -->Mainly from the guy saying he was in Arizona.... The person checking me in did not seem professional. Pronounce "Dublin" as "Dumplin". Felt like I was being scammed with the damage insurance. I had declined on my reservation, it popped up on the signature pad, I could not select decline option. If this is the U-Haul business model, it should be changed. Trailer was not clean. Chelseah at this location has always gone out of her way to exceed my expectations in getting me exactly what I need. When I came to return my truck, I was originally disappointed that Chelseah wasn't there to check me in. That's when I was I was blown away by a Mr Dana Gage. His professionalism was tops and he personally saw to it that all my concerns were met and that I was on my way out the door a Happy Camper. Being in customer service my whole life, I continue to be pleasantly surprised by the level of customer service I receive whenever I rent from this location. Unfortunately I was not told that I needed to check the truck out before I started using it. I thought the representatives did that. I've never had to do it before. I had gotten a text but did not check my phone while moving. When I returned the equipment the miles and gas amount was not correct and I got way over charged. I recommend that your representatives make sure to let customers know to check mileage and gas amount. Not just send a text that may or may not be seen.AUSHA D.

I filled the gas tank before returning it and it was between 3/4 and full. Yet when they sent the receipt, they said I was only at 3/4. I took a picture before leaving the establishment and I was 2 ticks shy of Full.David V.
Check in took longer than anticipated. Long line. I notified before leaving that the blinker was not working. During rental I called to verify when I needed to return the truck considering my day was postponed due to waiting in line past my scheduled pick up. Very poor customer service and was told I would be charged another day if I went past the time. I was then hung up on. I returned the truck 6 hours after getting the keys and just saw the emailed statement and I was charged for another day. (2 days- I had the truck out for 6 hours). I am going to dispute the additional amount charged with my credit card company if I am not refunded. I CAN NOT say I would choose uhaul or recommend you for moving.Ryan G.

We didn't read vehicle description well enough to know the 10' truck didn't have a ramp. We just expected all U-Haul trucks to have ramps. Still a great location to rent from and the truck was in great shape. Very clean facility.CRAIG B.

Storing in this facility was excellent and absolutely no issues or concerns on the safety and security of my items while there. My only concern was the close out of the unit at the end and the lack of response form anyone when inquiring about the status of my close out and needing assistance. Person at rental counter was rude, said truck had a quarter tank of gas. I thought that was odd and mentioned that didn't seem right, she said it wasn't her problem. I was told that truck was parked on other side of lot , in my past experiences with Uhaul, the vehicle was brought up to the door. Truck was dirty and covered in dried mud. Rude staff. The woman that was working was cussing and yelling at the other staff members. She was eating Taco Bell at the front counter. Very aggressive toward the other worker. Upon reservation I gave all info however once arriving at facility I was asked again even after supplying my identification. I also corrected the spelling of my street, my email address and my phone number. After several hours passed I accessed my email receipt only to find those items were still incorrect. (The incorrect email address is still on my account) I drove back to the facility and told agent of the incorrect items and shortly thereafter my next email still was incorrect. driver side seat belt broken, back padlock broken and they overcharged me for the rental. my 6 hour rental should have been $81 but I was charged $202.98. My expectation when ask if I would accept an email receipt, I would be treated fairly, these excessive charges proved U-Haul to be a dishonest company. Contract No. 24203889 However - Corporate U-Haul Reservations changed my pick-up location the day before (on Oct 22) from the the scheduled pickup location at 7999 Clyo Rd in Centerville, OH 45459 (937-436-2471) to 234 Springboro Pike in Miamisburg Ohio 45449 (937-660-8417). Presumably because ALL of the equipment I reserved (the 6 x 12 trailer AND the Furniture Dolly) were available at the revised location. Although the staff (Dana I believe his name was) was very helpful and did all he could - U-haul corporate did not ensure that both items were available before changing the location. I was moving a piano and the furniture dolly was equally important as the trailer itself. So I had to pull the trailer to a third location and purchase a furniture dolly. I understand that customers don't always return rentals on time which can cause adjustments in the pick up location - but that does not excuse the the decision on Corporate U-Hauil's part to change the location without confirming/setting aside the reserved items, or equally acceptable calling/texting me that me what the issue was so we could figure out a solution ahead of time - even if that meant I still had to buy a furniture dolly and then discount the rental for an amount equal to that purchase. I could have planned ahead and not pulled the trailer in the opposite direction from my work to buy one. This is the second time in 2 rentals that a location shift has occurred for a rental without any real communication. Things rapidly improved on pick up day, the gentleman that helped me Thursday evening could not have been more pleasant, helpful and professional. Truck was dirty, outside, and even had mud under the hood. Wiper blades were shot... made it impossible to see through the windshield when it was raining... had to pull over. Need to change wiper blades. Trailer wiring is bad. Right brake and turn signal pin is dead... used my trailer and a tester... wiring is bad on truck for this indicator. Dash said oil change was overdue. Center console had trash... used hairbrush with lots of hair, lotion bottle and empty energy drink can....pretty gross. I've had other rentals from this location, so suspect this is just someone else working that overlooked the basics. Other than that, truck did what I needed it to.RICHARD C.

Overall, the experience was good... However, the advertising needs to change for the capacity that the 10ft trucks hold. I was moving a 1 bedroom apartment, and was not able to fit all of my things into the 10ft truck in one trip. In fact, we had to double the amount of trips, due to how small the 10ft truck is. I don't have an exorbitant amount of things- so this was really disappointing, and ended up costing me extra, in order to accommodate the move. Also- all trucks should calculate a Washer & Dryer within the move, since most apartments have W/D hook ups, now. My large furniture included a Washer and Dryer, a standard 3-seat couch, a 2-seat love seat, a 5-piece high-top dinette set, a regular armchair and ottoman, a Queen bed and frame, and an overstuffed armchair. This did not include boxes of trinkets or decor.- Again- this truck should only be listed as able to carry in-town studio apartments-- but not a full 1 bedroom apartment. I was disappointed in the size of this truck, as it was listed to be able to accommodate a 1bedroom apartment. Thankfully I have to move again in 2wks, and have ordered a larger truck, due to this experience.Tiffani S.

Some staff were very helpful with my account that wouldn't allow me to go online and pay rent. The Manager Chelsea Holmann was disrespectful using foul language, calling me a liar when I went to her for help on more than 3 occasions to fix the IT problem keeping me from accessing my account. She told me to "make up addresses" and other information so she lacks honesty, certainly has NO INTEGRITY AT ALL. When calling to see the rent was paid since I lived out of town, I was hung up on, verbally abused and overall, he general staff was NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE at all as to how to do the job they were charged with doing, making it even more difficult. There were 2 young men who were always finding themselves apologizing for the problem with my account and doing a nice job. But unfortunately, they also felt the need to apologize for Chelsea's lack of management and nasty behavior. Overall, I will NEVER EVER recommend nor use U-Haul again and will do everything I can to discourage anyone I know from using the Miamisburg U-Haul so they don't have similar problems. As I stood for over an hour waiting to be helped because people were on smoke breaks, didn't know how to handle storage issues or whatever the excuses were that day. They define need experienced staff. The manager had to keep helping the new workers. I was interrupted several times. Hopefully the staff ( mostly the ones at check in snd check out) won't depend on the manager to do everyone's job. I also called uhaul to get a truck last month and when I got there they said they had no tricks that went one way. No one offered me any other option but to pay my storage unit for me to pay another month. I drove two hours got off work for the whole move and then I got a call from customer service rep who just lectured me in stead of giving any apology for the staffs rudeness and unwillingness to help . Brett was the nicest guy ever, he saved the day for uhaul. 2 guys in front of me walked out because of the manager and her mom, (Stephanie) I have never been talked to so rudely. The manager was so mean, I couldn't believe how they were representing your company, it was aweful . Brett and customer service brought me back to uhaul.
