15 foot truck includes moms attic and not the floor space. Because of this I have to do more trips. You should be honest about the lengths of trucks. It was 12 feet with 3 feet of about a third of the 12 foot space.MATTHEW F.

First of all I made a reservation. And Uhaul had to change it? It took two days for me to finally get someone to change the reservation and when they did they sent me to a location that was further away than the next closest location. I had reserved a utility dolly and that part of the reservation was lost by uhaul. Then to get it I had to drive to a store four miles away...adding to my miles traveled. Then when I got there they were incompetent. If you're going to hire kids...at least have an adult there to supervise then. Because these three kids asked me what I needed I said a dolly and they said we don't have any, when 10 minutes earlier the first store called them and they said they did. It took me 45 minutes to get my equipment and get on my way. The waybI see it...Uhaul sent me to a location four miles further away from home and it cost me 12 extra miles at .99 cents a mile you guys owe me 12 bucks. I'll not hold my breath though. And finally, the numbers given to me to try to get my reservation changed, did nothing to help me. I sat on hold for 10 minutes only to be disconnected 5 different times...that's 50 minutes I'll never get back.STEVEN B.

Please pave the drive- the water drains are fully exposed in some spots, I was dodging them everytime worrying that I have my tires slashed... that is my only complaint... staff was great- there was a female there that knew her stuff-i forgot her name but I saw her for a previous rental- she was very helpful and funny making my experience good. The equipment is not maintenced correctly.....staff is untrained....rose the manager is never there and does not return calls.. two bad units with issues. Unable to use them but still charge.....told had to call customer service which is a joke. On hold 30 plus minutes multiple times. I am now looking into other rentall options for my business and going to recommend them to everyone I knowJAMES H.

Ms Riveria was absolutely helpful and it was very easy for last minute accomodation. I initially went to Pine Island location because I had reserved a unit online, but they could not find the reservation. Instead of simply telling me "sorry" and letting me walk out the door, the 2 gentlemen working Sunday afternoon called over to the Merrillville location and were able to help me without me prompting them. Made an online reservation. At pick up everything was no touch/via cell phone. The only human contact I had was to get keys and asked charge for mile overage and was told .29/mile. Once home I found damages to truck and took pictures and called the rental location. An hour later I was able to talk to a rep at Uhaul and she was accommodating and I uploaded the pics I took to the account online. When we started moving, the dolly I pre paid for was no where to be found. I emailed with no response. When we dropped off at the location chosen I was prompted to again take pictures and then billed for 44.40 - 40 cents over miles, which we were roughly 20 miles under allowance and a random $44 charge. I did not pay but found the .44 cent mileage charge against my banking the next day. Uhaul was once the standard - not anymore. Very disappointed in my experience, will not use again.NANCIE W.

I also rented a strage unit there but the gate was completely blocked one evening by rental trucks lined up for return well before the access hours were over. I photographed this. Someone needs to immediately place signage around the parking lot to direct returning vehicle patrons to avoid with this issue. Not. Good. The unit was transferred, TO ME. because my brother was going through a divorce and that storage unit was mostly all my deceased parents his stuff, birds he also was diagnosed with cancer so did it as a favor, as he wanted me to have whatever I could of my parents. Well the cancer did not get him, He ended up being murdered not even a year after switching that unit over then I was in the hospital very very very ill got behind payments and Covid hit, I know it is not U-Haul's fault but there is no way I could catch the payments up as for everything else was behind also since I was in the hospital and so sick. I mean you have to have lights and water and food, now I have been sent a notice that they auctioned it off for $450 and want to sue me for $1160 so as my brother had two other unitsWith U-Haul between him and the payments I did pay before going into the hospital I just don't think it's fair that I'm getting served with being sued nowmargaret k. | Overall Experience

The dashboard showed low tire pressure but didn't care to fix it before I pick it up. No indications or steps to follow to drop the truck off. Customer service was very kind, but the equipment was gross. Outside of the unit was filthy and inside was incredibly unhealthy. Fingerprints, drinks spilled, and layers of dirt was prevalent throughout, but you have a sign warning your paying Customers about being charged for not sweeping. Definitely not family friendly business. Also, had reserved a van and wasn't able to pick it up because your TRAFFIC person decided to release my van. When someone makes reservations for the day, that is exactly what that means. I get charged whether I drive the van or not. ITS RESERVED! WHEN YOU RESERVE A VEHICLE THATS WHAT THAT MEANS... THAT VEHICLE IS RESERVED! Once again, not Customer friendly. Then the Merrillville store didn't have a working air conditioner, so you had a line of customers and workers fanning themselves in 90 degrees. temperatureKevin G.

We rented a uhaul on July 13th and the scheduled pick up was July 24th at 7 am. We found out on July 23rd we didn't have a uhaul available and the closet one was an hour from our location. We changed pick up locations and times to July 23rd at 7pm. We arrived at the Knox location only to find out it was closed and no one was available. We finall ended up getting a truck an hour later without a dolly that we paid for.. With the one way trip we qualified for a free month of storage which is an hour from where we needed but that was fine. We got go our storage in merrillville only to find out they didn't have w storage unit available like we were told. We had to drive another hour to find a storage until and then another 20 min to drop the truck off where we were told we still owed $33. This has been the worst experience with a moving company I've ever had. We have to rental another uhaul in august and I'm considering taking my business elsewhere if we aren't properly compensated. I assumed these units are checked and cleaned in between rentals but apparently that's either not the case or you're short staffed.
