I'm only giving a poor rating because I did not want to pickup from this location in the first place. Uhaul needs to update their software so that once all the trailers in a certain location are rented, it will not let you make a reservation. The service at the Marshalltown facility was excellent. I misunderstood the procedure for returning a truck after hours, and they kindly assured me that they would not charge me the $20 convenience fee. Would recommend and use again.Morris P.

Keep ur uhauls updated and up to spec bald tires on 26' foot uhaul got cost me more money all becuz tires where way past d.o.t guidelines and i wanted to pay for high rate insurance coverage hopen that id receive the road side help assistance i needed but was refused services unless i payed over $500 for tow when i called same tow company and was only charged $155.... then stuck again down road and all i get this time was nuthing besides being on hold for good amount of time for nuthin and now u guys wanna charge me another 212 for wat!!! you guys made me late on due date/time simplycuz u couldnt live by ur insurance and roadside assistanceCHASE A.

It would be helpful to know that you need to arrive before the time you have picked to pick up the vehicle, and that they don't get you approved until you arrive. Was there 15 minutes after the time I selected to pick up the vehicle,, before I was able to leave.Amber M.

It would have been nice that since I returned it at around 7 pm that I would not have been charged for a whole 2nd day since I had no use for it the 2nd day. Plus they charged me an additional $3.00 and didn't even tell me why. But otherwise I was very thankful for it because without it my move would have been very stressful as I'm a single mom with 2 small children and currently 6 months pregnant. The service was great. The truck was perfectly clean, however, the driver's side bottom mirror has a broken bracket. The reverse lights were out. The driver's side door has to be slammed excessively hard in order to get it to close properly. Something is rattling inside the cab. It sounds like a cooler of ice shifting around. Check out was painless. Chris did it super fast, felt like five minutes from when he got to me and when I was leaving. Efficient. Phenomenal. Check in was about the same. 10/7 -Equipment was confirmed to be in Waterloo for Friday pickup 10/8 -was told it was not available, nearest trailer was in Marshalltown (64 miles away, 128 miles RT) Had to go get it - they wouldn't move it here. What good does it do to make a reservation, if, they're just gonna tell you a day ahead where the closest equipment is?JAMES W.
I have rented a truck two times & one storage unit from this location in the past week. They are obviously under staffed as you typically have quite a wait time then when it's your turn they rush you through it. Also inside the truck they put a utility dolly & furniture pads with a zip tie lock on them. They get in the way & take space away from the items you're moving. In my case the zip tie broke on the dolly while moving furniture out of the truck so I got charged a rental fee for it when I didn't even really use itBRYCE H.

At the beginning of our experience there seemed to always be screws and nails in front of the parking lot. Seems to me the employees of this u-haul need to establish a daily routine of going around and making sure things are picked up and clean. Also we had on our day of moving out a roach came out from under a box. We now had to go through everything and make sure we were not taking with us these bad and nasty cruisers. Think if they would bomb every other month to prevent this from happening. Other than these the staff is differently helpful. Chris the manager bends over backwards in making things right.
