The manager of the location waited on me when setting up the contract. He was courteous and knowledgeable and made sure that the trailer I was renting would meet the requirements of the task I had. We got the trailer rigged up to my truck in no time and I was off. The return was just as efficient. I drove into the covered area to return the trailer and immediately one of the staff was there inspecting the trailer and closing out my contract. The facility was neat, clean, and well organized. I'll go back there to rent trailers in the future no doubt instead of purchasing a trailer I would likely use no more than four times per year.PAUL D.

When I picked up the truck it was on full. The problem was the gauge goes beyond that when truly full. I put 25 miles on the truck and ended up putting 6 gallons in the truck. So it was not really full. The trucks should be filled completely before going out.TODD S.

This was probably one of the worst costumer experiences that I have ever had. Several members of the staff were ill informed about the process and our belongings arrived several weeks late. We have been long time costumers of UHaul but sadly, we will be looking for another moving company to assist us with our next move. I understand that we are in the midst of a global pandemic but that did not excuse the lack of answers and inability to answer the simplest of questions. We are also shipping things from overseas at the moment and the company handling that move was far more helpful and informative, so there really is no excuse for the way that we were treated as costumers.ELIZABETH T.

Service in Tucson, AZ was impeccable. The service in Cincinnati was less than acceptable. When calling to speak with staff they were rude and not helpful. My shipment was delayed by 2 days and had I not called to ask when my stuff was supposed to be delivered since I had not received a confirmation call I was told that â€œthere were no trucks available that day to deliverâ€. Yet no one had notified me of the delay. I have used uhaul in previous moves but will definitely consider using a different company in the future for moves.James Monica J.

Lack of communication, was sent to multiple locations to find a U-box container. When I finally got to the location that had one they seems annoyed that I was not returning it to be stored on property instead it would be kept on my own all property. After the U-box was returned on time my card was still charged for another monthJAIME V.
The pick up location in Arizona was excellent, however my recent experience with your company was the worst I've ever had. First of all, I ordered a hitch to be installed on my vehicle 10 DAYS ahead of a cross country move. When I showed up to have my hitch installed, I was told the hitch never arrived. There was no contact, no warning on the day before a cross country move. They didn't even know I had a reservation for a hitch install. I was offered a 10' truck for a lot more money than the 6X12 trailer I originally reserved. With no choice, I rented the 10' truck. The added expense of the truck, and having to pay for fuel on TWO vehicles made the entire trip considerably more expensive. I've used U-haul for many years, however this experience was the last... I will be using Budget, Ryder, or anyone but U-haul. What a disappointment this was. Anyone reading this should be concerned... U-haul probably will never read this (or care), however I feel better posting it. Seriously, this situation could have been handled better.Paul S.

Better customer service. At pick up they said I had signed up to pick up my truck via truck share. I was having problems with getting that to go through, and they let us stand outside trying to get checked in for over 30 mins before finally coming out to offer help, and this was after I had expressed frustration with the online checking about 15 mins earlier. At drop off, we were rushed off. I received my receipt via email about 20 mins after leaving, and upon review of receipt I was overcharged for the replacement fuel by over $30. I was charged $65 for 1/8 tank of gas/55 miles... this seems like an ABSURD amount. Will be calling tomorrow for correction.Kenneth B.

The Marana staff for the most part have no idea what they are doing and dump you on never ending hold. I made repeated calls and spent more than 2 hours on hold with no help. BUT, one day I was transferred to Caitlyn who figured everything out, called me back and made sure delivery of the UBoxes was timely. Caitlyn is a rock star, the guys who answer the phones need some customer service training badly. And the UBox delivery drivers were great, friendly and very efficient. Mick at the CA location was wonderful but Marana staff made this experience hellish.Taryn E.

The u boxes got delivered a day late because of truck problems which is fine but instead of giving us two days to pack like we agreed on they showed up the very next morning and we weren't finished packing so we had to rush it. The worst moving experience I've ever had. The one and only bright spot out of the 3 areas I hired you in was the outside moving help. They were stars!! But the mistakes you made with the truck and storage made an awful day the absolute worst day I've had in the last 10 years. They make every thing seem possible online, but once you've done the reservation, they're employees are the ones that have to try to shuffle everything to make it happen, and most times they can't do it. I'll never ever recommend uhaul to anyone at this point now. And I'm seriously considering a lawsuit at this point. So basically they refused to honor the promised free month due to being at capacity and God forbid they lose $135 after I just spent over $1,800 for a rental. When I arrived Evan was working with a customer who had reserved a truck at a nearby location that happened to be closed on Sundays. He didn't have the size truck she had reserved and she was very frustrated. Even calmly provided her with multiple other options (without letting her throw a fit) and worked with the woman until they found an arrangement that would work for her. It easily took an hour. This is an insanely overpriced service. I was forced to load my box a full three weeks before it was guaranteed to arrive and it still arrived late!!! And the communication was awful. The service staff at each location were great, but a number of times no one could confirm if the box had arrived or when it would arrive. This was very expensive and stressful. I had my rental on auto pay and my card quit working so I had my bank make me one. Unbeknownst to me my auto pay was interrupted, I received a late notice with a late fee. So my first thought was is all my stuff gone? I called Josh the manager at the store to get this straightened out. Once he explained about experation on card and cc numbers changing when getting another card. I would have thought the idiots at my bank would inform me about it. Go figure . Then the extra amount was a blow also. I know it is only $16 but right now every penny counts. Josh explained everything to me and he took off the late fee. Most places dont operate like this especially corporations because it is about the bottom line. Now remember I have multiple life issues going on now that the last thing g I need is another headdd ache. With josh taking off the late fee ( without having to argue about)made my day. Because of his kindness I will be renting for at least two more months at $76 per mo. Instead of paying the whole bill and closing out my storage with yall. So acting in good faith for me as a customer , your company just profited $132 instead of $16. Not to mention me talking to everyone about it and I have a big mouth. I have spoken with josh before and he has always been a professional but today he went over and above . He deserves to be recognized and not just by me. I hope you ( uhaul) treat and acknowledge your employees that got over and above like josh took care of me yesterday. Gracias por tu tiempo. Can not lock storage unit. Friendly staff said they'd fix it and call. Haven't heard yet if I can start my storage. I feel as if I'm being charged although I can't use it, not sure what I can do. I tried to call twice and was on hold for 10 minutes both times and had to hang up because I was too busy to wait longer. Maybe Uhaul could reimburse my non-use time or something?
