Cannot stand the curt attitude of the skinny tattooed white guy at the register. He had no interest In answering questions on the phone or helping me at the counter. I made the reservation for a different location, and wasn't told when I was making it that the location I chose didn't have what I needed. The reservation was for a half hour later so I left my house and still hadn't received any confirmation email. When I arrived they told me I didn't have a reservation for that location and instead it was sending me to a different location. Very frustrating as I was on a time limit. Would've been easier and quicker had the website told me the location I chose didn't have the truck I wanted to reserve.SAMANTHA L.

The pickup location wasted my first 30 minutes of only a 5 hour rental. I had everything complete for checkout on my phone when I showed up early, but they didn't know how to let me checkout from the website on my phone so (after blaming me) we had to start all over. Then when I went to the truck the fuel and mileage didn't match and they treated me like an idiot for saying the mileage was off by 30k miles. Only then did they realize it was the wrong truck and we had to start the checkout process again. I had a narrow window to move things and this was a huge waste of time. Throughout the entire checkout the two individuals were very rude and discussing the looks and smell of the female who checked out before me. Once I finally got the truck everything was fine and no issues with drop off.Bradley W.
I do not remember the gentleman's name who helped us, but he gave EXTRAORDINARILY EXCELLENT service!!! We were in and out, the man RAN to get us hooked up and on our way, and he covered all bases asking if we needed anything we may not have thought of by naming specific items. He wished us a safe trip and he was happily on to the next customer. The line was pretty swift with three men working the counter but our guy was definitely hustling. I was told there were many places I could drop trailer off in St Augustine. However when I called to verify drop off location I was told I had to drive to Jackonsville. I tried to explain the reservation stated St Augustine and that I had driven by 2 different locations where I had seen trailers that were minutes from my house. The phone rep insisted there were no drop off locations in St Augustine for trailers. I ended up driving an extra 2 hours!LISA B.

Online check-in location services on iPhone Safari was set up properly, but did not work. I called customer service and after waiting a few minutes for a rep, explained the problem to her, and was told I would be transferred to someone else to handle the "location" problem and put on hold. After waiting more than 5 minutes, and listening to the same commercials over and over again, I decided to download the UHaul app, and try the check in again - worked perfectly. have your front line customer service reps made aware of this problem and ask some questions before passing the customer off to someone else.RICHARD M.

The trailer came OFF THE HITCH ON THE BRIDGE! When we called to ask them for help they told us we'd get better help by visiting the website, as we're sitting on the side of the road on the san jose bridge with a trailer that came off the hitch that THEY HOOKED UP! Waited over an hour to pick up the trailer. For most of the time, there was only one associate working behind the counter. The associate that helped me was a wonderfully helpful young man. The return of the trailer was much quicker. There were 2 associates behind the counter and again the man who helped me was very helpful.LISA V.

The person that helped me was one of the rudest people I have ever met. I used mobile and had a truck assigned to me. The employee rented it to someone else and refused to help me. I had to then get in a very long line to get another truck. When I finally got to him he was cussing about the slow computer. Used the f word. Gave us a truck with low gas. Seriously the worst experience I have ever had with an employee.Meredith C.

Customer service was horrible. No one wanted to help. When I walked in because I was having issues with my online booking- the one person working the counter looked at me and walked out. Then when I got it to work, I found my vehicle, it told me to go inside for keys, there was now a line of people for the guy who walked out on me earlier. My phone said â€œskip the line, scan and goâ€â€¦ so I walked up and asked him where the scan wasâ€¦ and he and all the other customers just stared at meâ€¦. He asked my name and then threw the keys at me. A woman at the end of the line said she had been calling since 9:00am, and asked why they weren't answering the phone. The same 1 employee said â€œbecause it wasn't his top priorityâ€. We didn't leave the lot until almost 10:00, and our reservation was for 9:00. There wasn't a line until 9:30, so I guess he decided for 30 minutes to just full on ignore the phone. And the employee â€œinspectingâ€ cars outside was rude, and not helpful. We asked him 3 times where we could find my rented vehicle and he dismissed us and pretty much told us to just figure it out. Then when I came to return the vehicle, we were doing the online â€œreturnâ€, those two same employees saw us, one came to get the keys, but I told him I'm doing the online return and I will be done in a sec. They both went in and closed the store and left. There is no drop off key box. Just a slit in the door. I felt I had to record myself putting the key into the slot because these people just don't seem to care. Absolutely will not be back.Paige H.

If there was a way for employees to have better insight in the online situations that would be nice. The individual that assisted me was anything but pleasant. It was obvious that he didn't want to be there and helping me was the LAST thing he wanted to do. I am not sure why he is in a customer service role. 1. FIX mobile check in. There is a huge problem with it where approval NEVER comes, forcing the customer to leave the entire process and go in like a regular customer. This usually means a large amount of time wasted, not only waiting for an approval which never comes, but then to add on top of it, additional wait time in line at store. 2. The attitudes of the employees. They clearly show that they don't want to work there. This was my perception, and the perception of others in line. Not friendly,, not encouraging the U-Haul brand, clearly, they'd rather be anywhere else, than working for U-Haul based on their performance. 3. Improve customer service. If a customer is delayed because of U-Haul back-office errors (such as delay in receiving vehicle due to broken mobile check in approval process, then the due time back or amount due should be compensated. At this point, since this has NOT been an isolated event, I will no longer utilize the services rendered through U-Haul - certainly NOT this location.Lisa M.

I was charged 42.00 for over mileage when I was 100 miles under the 388 miles approved..and supposedly a cleaning fee. If the gas was a little below it was because I sit at drop off for an hour trying to check out..app wouldn't accept photo of mileage n gas..I held for 45 minutes to get help and was disconnected finally when I got someone they said take pics of mileage which I did n return keys in box. I did everything right n was charged 42.00 which I didn't have and now negative in my account. Very disappointed in drop off..and app for self serviceDanielle W.

Big disconnect from the app and the store. Did app rental on Monday. Was told I would get a confirmation call on Friday (that never happened) and reservation was supposed to be straight to rental, but when I tried to start the process app said I needed to go inside. When I did the store had NO record of my reservation. The person I worked with was great - he found me a van (may have had to borrow from a future renter). This experience really put the store personnel in a touch spot. Once I had the van for about 30 minutes, I then got a call from what I assume was from the corporate office/app team stating the location didn't have a truck. Would have been nice to get that call either Friday when I was supposed to get it, or at least *before* my reservation was scheduled to begin. The app would not let me take pictures of the truck when checking it in. After about 45 minutes trying, I gave up because of a time crunch. The Vehicle had Tire Pressure light on when I took it.. The guy told it's ok.. Once I drove for an hour, message started appearing low tire pressure, which was annoying.. I rented storage for apps 8 months and had rented 2 more trips in that period after moving stuff to an apartment, l realized a suite case that had a medical device for Lymphedema treatment was missing. So I decided to go back and check the unit in case it was left inside. I had one additional day left on my rental, their was a green tag secured. So I went to the office and explained to the person and they said that I had moved out so it was green tagged, my question was I had this and an additional day left on my paid rental and mentioned the suite case with medical device was missing, he replied there was nothing in the unit and was not concerned of medical device missing.Steven S. | Overall Experience

Very good experience with UHaul storage. We used the storage unit for 12 months and it was clean and the halls were well lit. Our unit was not lit but it was sufficient to see inside from the hall lights. They have many carts to use that are included. I have experience with Extra Space in Brandon FL. Access to their facility is via unique access code. Access to this Uhaul facility is via unique card (one card). This limits flexibility for access by my family. We have to coordinate who has the card in order to gain access to the facility and unit.SCOTT A. | First Impressions
