Terrible experience with uhaul... 1. truck didn't have a loading ramp - WHAT ??? is this UHaul ? Don't you position yourselves as "Moving Experts" ???? 2. trailer had to be picked up separately (second trip) 3. no ability to call local offices - all calls for help/service are directed to an 800 line with long holds and folks who have no clue...local companies should answer their phones! Operators at scheduling number tell the customer that the "reservations line people" have no clue" 4. trailer has to be hooked and unhooked by Uhaul staff - if you need to unhook yourself - your "void the contract"... all for an extra charge never mentioned at the time of reservation 5. car on tow trailer has to be secured - for another EXTRA charge at BOTH ends of rental... again. never mentioned at time of reservation 6. rental location directed me to a return location currently CLOSED by OSHA??? what's the matter with you guys? 7. once the car is loaded onto the trailer, access to the car's interior and trunk is extremely limited. NO mention of this limitation during reservation process. This entire rental process was like you were MAKING UP THE PROCESS AND RULES AS YOU WENT. Experts???? - you're amateurs who act ;like you've never done this before. I doubt you even read the4sed comments. If you do, convince me I'm wrong by replying. As I had been warned by many reviews, your online app for pickup worked NOT AT ALL. I couldn't even get the first step of the instructions to work, and am glad I chose a location that was open when I needed to do my pickup. So the location gets my approval, but U-Haul's online pickup process is terrible.CARL J.

Everything went well, except for the rental charges. I rented a dozen moving blankets, but they only provide 1/2 dozen and I was charged the full amount. I didn't think that I needed to count the blankets before I left the rental location. I put this comment in my return transaction and was still charged the full amount. The associate just gave the key and his responsibility is finished. I asked for a dolly. He mentioned its inside the vehicle which was not there. I am not at all satisfied with the experience in this location. The associate who served me doesn't seemed to have any interest to work. The vehicle was quite dirty. I reserved (over 10 days in advance) a truck, two dozen blankets, and a hand truck. 1) On arrival I was told, "that's a lot of blankets; we don't have that many." Really? What constitutes not "a lot" of blankets? I mean, they rent them by the DOZEN. 2) I did not see the hand truck listed on the rental agreement I was supposed to sign. When I asked about it, I was told, "we don't have any hand trucks available for rent. But you can buy one." Ha ha! Why didn't they offer to provide one of their hand trucks that was for sale? 3) The guy gave me the key to the truck and acted like I was supposed to carry the dozen blankets they did have to the truck and do the condition check myself. I insisted that he accompany me to do the condition check together. When we got to the truck, we discovered that the cargo door had been left open. Of course it was raining! So the entire cargo box was wet inside. I insisted on a dry truck - couldn't use a wet cargo box because we were going to haul antique furniture and boxes of artwork. He had another (dry) truck available, but he could not locate the key! Apparently the "new guy" has a pattern of losing the keys to the trucks he checks in. After a while, the guy mopped out the truck and dried it as well as he could. 4) By that time, another truck had been returned, so he was able to provide me with the second dozen blankets and the hand truck. Of course I had to ask! 5) The guy was nice and actually apologetic about the condition of the truck. But it was a matter of course that they did not have sufficient blankets and the hand truck. And I had to do the asking and insisting - even though I had reserved WELL IN ADVANCE. The standard of operation at this location is poor quality - and evidently that is okay with the management. 6) Because the guy was nice as well as apologetic about the truck, I rated it two stars; otherwise it would have been one star. 7) The truck itself was fine. EXCEPT that it did not have cruise control! Are you kidding?! 2,000 miles later I'm still working out the cramps in my leg.MARK R.

The equipment rented and the rental place were fine, however we booked a moving partner through UHaul called MovingHelp, and they never showed or even called. We ended up paying for our UHaul truck and never were able to move any of our items. A waste of the $78. It is now the next day and after leaving 2 messages with MovingHelp, I still have not received a follow up phone call to tell me why they never showed. The only issue I had was I was assigned a truck that was blocked/parked in and had to switch trucks. I think it would have been nice for the employee to know where vehicles are and assign one that can be taken out with more ease.MARK R.

When I arrived to get my keys the customer service person was very rude and refused to help me stating there were no storage facilities left. I went out and asked my father to speak to him. He told him the same thing. After he explained several times we had a reservation the man went to get someone else to help us. We reserved a 10x10 unit and unfortunately when we arrived with all of our things we were storing, we were told there was no 10x10 units available. We were not notified of this prior to arriving with our Uhaul truck full of items we planned to store in a 10x10, and we had to make multiple trips to take things back that could not fit in the 5x10 unit we were given.
