The original drop-off location on Annex Drive, Nashville, is a 1/4 mile from my home and is where I'd planned to do the return. They wouldn't accept me dropping it off there for some reason. I was told I'd have to go to this location 15 miles away. NOT HAPPY!!!WADE P.

The pickup truck I rented had a rough idle and probably needed a tune up. I'm no mechanic but I can feel a misfire/rough idle easily. The truck only had 61,000 miles, so I feel Uhaul should be more thorough with maintenance on their vehiclesJanice M.

Never went inside. Someone walked out when I pulled up. Never greeted me just stuck his hand out for keys. I had to get him to check the back for dolly and blankets cause I wanted him present while I was there but he acted like it didn't matter. We also swept the back of truck and clean inside cause said we would get something back for it but never saw it. The only good thing about this experience was the pick up.JUSTIN M.

I transferred my larger #45 unit to someone that shared half the space the last few months, we went inside the store in June 2020 with driver's licenses, credit cards, signed, auto pay, no longer my unit. In Dec 2020, I got the smaller #91 unit and discovered that my name was still on her #45 account online, I couldn't get to my #91 online because I was listed as hers for #45, her info also on it instead of my #91, couldn't pay my account or set up my usual auto pay. I received aggressive emails with a former manager's name at the bottom, the new manager of the past year not on the e-mails. No one could fix any of this with MANY unpleasant and lengthy attempts, no one could take responsibility, calling the 800# didn't help after much effort, and could never reach the Madison storage unit location by phone. I also had an especially hostile encounter with the employee Rory who did not respect me as a customer or believe anything that I said I was told and charged me a $39 late fee the first time I went in to try to get auto pay fixed in person since I couldn't get anything fixed online or through the 800#. The truck was extremely dirty when we picked it up. There were cigarette butts and a used mask in the vehicle that we had to remove ourselves, which was unsanitary given Covid.ANDREW B.
The people here in Madison were amazing, although the people at the U-Haul of wedgewood were not. I was scheduled in my contract to drop off my trailer there and they told me no, and wouldn't take it. They didn't give me a location to go to, so I just drove around till I found someone that would take it. Apparently they do this often to others. Where do I start... when I originally reserved my uhaul I selected the location closest to me. Got an email stating that will be my pick up and drop off location. Arrived to that location Saturday at 9am. The guy was extremely rude and made me feel like an idiot that I was at the wrong location. He asked for my name, I gave it to him. He said they don't have me down. I showed him my email. Still said he doesn't have me. Then went through his list of people for the day asking if that was me all sarcastic. Of course I said no, because well, he didn't say my name. He said well then I don't know what to tell you. He ended up calling and they told him I was to pick up at a different location THIRTY minutes away. He told me the address and off I went. (I will be leaving his location a 1 star on google and Yelp as well) once I arrived at my second location the gentleman was very nice and told me I was at the wrong location but the correct one was just down the road. Once I arrived to my THIRD uhaul to hopefully pick up my truck, I stood at the counter for well over 30 minutes. A man came into the store wanting a truck without a reservation. Every. Single. Worker. In that store worked with him to move things around. Even though I was there first and my truck was ready. The lady who was â€œhelpingâ€ never said a word to me. Except that, the truck I was getting was on EMPTY!!!!!!!!! But she assured me I'd make it to the closest gas station... with the tank being on empty I was told I was getting a $35 or so credit on gas upon return totaling my truck rental to $8. A printed paper was handed me showing my total would be $8 if the truck was returned with at least a 1/4 tank. Several hours later the truck was brought back to the third location with well over a 1/4 tank since I was not taking any chances because of the experience i had already had with uhaul. I was told I would get my receipt emailed to me shortly. Tuesday afternoon I received that showing my total would not be $8 but $19. But when I check my bank statement it shows I paid you $51!?! Absolutely unexplainable. I have been using uhaul for almost a decade and have never received this poor or service. It has always gone so smoothly. Not only was I never told my pick up location was changed, but I ended up paying way over what I was told. Like I've said above, both the first and the last location I went to will be receiving 1 star reviews on google and Yelp and I will be calling customer service during business hours to demand a refund. Very unprofessional and unacceptable.... if only a 0 star review existed .WILLIAM GERALD E.
Arrived at 4:50 for a 4:30 24/7 app pickup - showed it was instead to be hand delivered in the morning instead of picked up as requested when we initiated pickup. There was a blonde younger girl still on site we asked and she was zero help, blew us off and we were told it wasn't her problem. 30 mins later while we were waiting on the phone with customer service the app finally went through to pick up as usual. The truck wasn't clean. We cleaned it before returning and chose cleaned enough for next rental but were still charged. Taking a picture of the odometer and gas and entering the information before departure should be as much a part of the app as when its dropped off.Yelyzaveta V.
"Madison" is an inner suburb of Nashville. Most people think if it as Nashville. Your search engine does not include this Madison facility when customers search your website for "Nashville." You're potentially losing business and definitely frustrating customers. I only discovered this when I called in and spoke with one of your reps. "Nashville" was sold out of 6x12 trailers but Madison had some. Your webmaster needs to correct this.William R.

After attempting to return our rental to the specified location, Uhaul Wedgewood-Houston on 8th Ave, who refused to take the return due to the volume of equipment they already had on their lot, we were sent to 2 other locations that either couldn't or refused to take our return before we were finally helped by John(?) the General Manager at the Madison, TN location. He assisted us immediately and apologized for the inconvenience and frustration of spending time driving to 4 different locations and being turned away, including the initial return location specified in our contract. This was a very frustrating experience with Uhaul overall, including our pickup location being changed to a different place the day before that was significantly further away from our home.ANDREWTHOMAS D.

I recommend not using U-haul at all. I made a reservation for 11am at the Fessler Street location in Nashville. I received a Voicemail from them at 8am asking me to call, when I called back they said I was all set for an 11 am pickup. I showed up and they said they didn't have my truck and that they left a voicemail. The voicemail just said to call back. The manager then informed me that uhaul consistently overlooks trucks and this happens a lot, what kind of business is that? The Madison location was helpful and nice but clearly understaffed. And I was charged over $100 even though I had to drive an extra 30 minutes to get a truck. RIDICULOUS. Will not be using again.ALEXIS G.

I do not usually pull a trailer, and the gentleman I worked with was great about getting it hooked up, helping me check the lights, etc. When I returned it he was worried I'd have to back it into the space, but he was able to detach and move it for me. The worker must have had a really bad day. We arrived 15 minutes before closing with 2 trucks to return and 2 storage units reserved, and the man on staff walked in from his truck, told me they closed in 15 minutes and I should come back tomorrow. I asked to get started with the time available and finish our transaction- he then threw something down, and was as minimally helpful as possible in acknowledging and printing receipt. Two lots to park the trucks and trailers, but mostly all of them were kept by the storage units causing it to be difficult to get in and out at times. Anytime the parking stall has blue paint it means that it is Handicap. My last day there an employee made me park where it was painted blue. She argued that it is not Handicap. Just because you start to scrape away the painted sign doesn't make it not Handicap, there is still blue and a ticket can still be issued.Jean H. | Overall Experience
Rat droppings and a caved in ceiling that damaged lamps and pictures that apparently got wet and had to be thrown away. I was not given a refund for the days I didn't use the storage, but conveniently charge 25.00 if I was a day late. I moved out the 28th of the month so that's 5 days before the next bill was due.
