I couldn't get the pictures sent in of the truck before I left to use it, but I thought it was a great idea. The front end bumper was bent, there were scratches on both sides, but the truck ran great and it was clean. The service at the desk was wonderful and fast. I definitely recommend U-Haul!

TERESA TAfter booking up the first trailer and doing a light check all worked. Before leaving I did a second light check and the left turn signal did not work. Had to call the clerk back and after about 20-30 mins they decided to give me a different traile. Spent over an 1& 1/2

RODNEY SThey charge me after-hours fee when I returned the truck the same day I rented it. I had no idea I supposed to check in with the app nor was I informed by the location I picked it up at. For years, I simply return rented trucks at the end of the day, usually early without any issues. Now you add an unnecessary step to validate the return. I would think the myriad of cameras would be more than enough to timestamp when it was returned. Besides, it was returned 14 hours early than scheduled return time. Furthermore, I was charged a cleaning fee because the front of the truck was dirty from driving in the rain. This to me seems reasonable ware and tear that I should not be held responsible. This is just the drop-off bad experience. The pick up experience was just as bad considering the some of the equipment I rented was not available. Additionally, the original pick-up date was scheduled at the end of the day when I specifically said I wanted it for the morning. Luckily, I caught that error before arrival. Your district managers are doing a terrible job training your location staff. The female manager I spoke to on Washington Street was extremely rude and told me to call the 800 number to resolve my issue.
RICHARD AVery unprofessional staff. Young kid who wanted to argue with the customer. In addition he was incompetent. Plus I asked about drop off procedures and they never told me about app procedures or the fact that I needed app.

TANEKA LOnly had a couple problems drove down there in 80/90 degree weather with no AC and on the way back it was 92. Still no AC, I put fluid in for the wipers and it quit working. Then some idiot decided to stay in the hammer lane for 25 to 50 miles wouldn't allow us to pass, wanted me to pull over so he can beat my butt. We turned it in to state highway patrol, he also threw a pop can beside the van. My window was up. They told us since we were only leasing it to let someone know there at u haul. You need to filed charges.
LISA PWas disappointed when I returned the truck early, the associate advised I would be receiving a discount for the early return. When it didn't arrive, I called and was told that it was just 2 hours past the pickup time so I wouldn't be receiving the discount.

Kim BComputer system was down when I got there at 7 am on Saturday, but the associate kept trying and got it back online. Rental van was in great condition with low miles. Associates here are always friendly. Everyone just needs to be patient with those that are in the service industries.

Cecil LThe customer should not have to search the entire lot for their truck. The appliance dolly was on the other side of the building which I had to go get myself. You should not be able to make a reservation with a prepaid card if you are unable to pay your balance with it.

kerri mThere was roaches in the box truck we rented . A 26 foot one from lima ohio. Now we have roaches on all our belongings. And babies were just found in my bed this morning. I found a huge live one crawling one one of my boxes in the truck!!!! I WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN! from now on I will use a two feet and take a million trips through the desert before I use your company again. A complaint has been made already with a claim. I think I should be fully reimbursed. I'm putting it on every platform. And I have videos and pictures evidence!

Christopher FI was very unsatisfied when I booked this on the website cause I booked it from my st. Marys location and a lady called me Tues from here and said they could give me a 15' truck at the location only and I said that's fine when I went to pick it up it wasn't there and I saw it said lima location and no one told me anything changed so I had to drive 30 mins to go get it and return it so had to put more gas and miles in it . I love the people who helped me at the lima location very grateful and understanding. But I would like a refund for my extra miles and stuff that I shouldn't of had to pay cause of your guys mistake

matthew dTruck served it's purpose fine but had a check engine light on the entire drive. Location had a serious bug problem - had cockroaches crawling on the counter and the manager was quite angry with his boss because he was told that he had to keep the store open anyway. Get your act together!

TIARA BI rented a 5 x 9 trailer from this location. When I returned the trailer to this UHAUL location I stopped at the designated spot and waited for someone to come out to process the return. I waited for quite awhile and no one came out. It did not appear that things were busy. I finally pulled to the back and unhooked the trailer myself and pushed it back in the location where I picked it up. Still no one came out. I went inside and told the person at the counter that I did everything myself and returned the trailer. I was not happy about this situation.

Tracy W | Overall ExperienceThe two young men who were on duty when I moved in at 3:30 pm on Thursday February 22 were extremely helpful and kind. They showed me how to get in and where to park. I could not have done it without them. I wish employees at all businesses were that thoughtful. The facility itself is poorly labeled and disorganized. On a weekend I imagine it must be a zoo when more than one person is trying to move in or out. The advertised size of the storage room is misleading and borders on fraud. It claims to be 6 foot tall. Yes, there are areas of the storsge room that are 6 foot tsll. However there is a roof support running through the room that limits the height to less than 5 foot.

When I showed up and paid for the unit I was then told it was not a floor level unit, and I would have to walk up like 5 steps, I immediately cancelled. Cup holder area was dirty, I was not greeted at return area when I returned truck, had to go in building and wait, while three employee's were behind desk and only one was with customer. New female employee tried to help but was limited in training. Had storage for month, had issue with Manager Montana Vann. I explained my situation to employee on previous date before monthly due date.He seemed to understand and said no problem, but did not take my name or put notes in computer. I received email from Manager about late fee and called store, no answer. I personally went to store for the 2nd time to explain situation. This time, young man put notes in system, reassured it would be taken care of by manager Montanna Vannby phone or when I picked up my 2nd truck to move out of storage that Saturday, she was scheduled to work then. I show up on time to pick up truck and clear out storage and Manager Montanna Vann was not working. Told employee to check notes in system to HONOR what was agreed to by previous employee, since Manager Montanna Vann never coontacted me on any issue. This employee did not know how to handle situation and let me finish my storage move out and would call Manager Montanna Vann to rectify situation. I came back in after emptying storage and was told that Manager Montanna Vann would not HONOR previous agreement that was told to me twice by 2 different employees and in notes on contract. New female employee Remembered conversation and spoke up to no avail. I know each situation is unique and should be handled on individual basis. Listening and feedback are key to customer service opportunities when applied respectfully and efficiently. I have previous experience with UHaul and know that Customer Service is the key to future business. Negative word of mouth and lack of effort are greatly considered in the public when patronizing locations. I expected better communication from a professional establishment such as UHaul as I have experienced in the past. Maybe Manager Montanna Vann does not completely understand that yet. Her Gold lettered name on the door tells me the company UHaul expects it! I expect my situation corrected in a timely manner by the company MCP or a professional Manager in the Company. Very dissatisfied with this experience!

Tim C | First ImpressionsWhen I went into the Lima store today, the two gentlemen that were there were very rude to me, and each other they almost got into an argument in front of me I asked a simple question and got a snarky comment as a response they never told me that I wouldn't have access to the building after 10 PM he just told me that if I came after hours that I would just have to use my card and just pull straight to the back when I got back there were trucks in the way no one told me on how to pull the trucks I had to go around the building and figure it out myself. I was not able to access the building. I called the number that they told me to call and I never got an answer. I called three times left voicemails , I want to pick the U-Haul up in Dayton and mobile pick up the truck was not ready the proper gas was not put into the truck. I did not have the proper dolly in the truck. The guy apologized for not having it ready properly it was still an inconvenience because that is why we made it back to lima after 10 overall port experience today with both U-Haul stores .

I had to take my sofa and put it on a friends back porch when I'm paying over $100 for one of your full storage units. I was not a happy customer. Also if customer late paying pmt, the red lock should come off the day they paid not the day the customer decides to come to storage (within the month). Couple times I paid late then waited to come get something out of my storage to find the red lock was still intact. I had to walk all the way back outside in the cold go to office and inquire about. I was not a happy customer. With that being said, Neither will I NEVER recommend your storage units to anyone nor will I do business with you again.

So if you are looking to haul all your stuff up a flight of steps, down a dim, narrow hallway, and then up a foot or two into a storage unit where you are greeted with rat poison and a bent latch, this is your spot! Staff was slow, borderline incompetent and just spectacularly unhelpful. It took an hour of discussion back and forth with manager to replace a nonfunctional keycard, despite the account holder being present. They told us to call corporate which had an hour wait time. Never received final bill, which seems very high, and then had to email them after a week to get them to close out the move-out request. Just don't ignore this review! Rent some place, any place else!! I will never darken the door of a Uhaul facility as long as I live after this miserable experience.

Their largest size storage was the size of a medium sized closet with low entrance and will not hold or fit large items such as couches, mattresses, and box springs. For smaller storage such as totes and boxes this would be perfect but that was not what I was looking for.
Kimberly D | First ImpressionsWas not well lit. Had to vigorously wave arms to get light to come on and it still didn't go on till we were walking out. Storage unit was very dark at all times. Large pipe running through the middle of it that I hit my head on several times, must be a known issue due to it being wrapped in foam which helped but still made moving anything very difficult. Late fees are outrageous, in one month its the same as the rent for the unit making it nearly impossible to catch up and not lose your belongings.
