The survey questions don't ask the relevant questions. I originally reserved a vehicle at another location that more convenient. I was contacted, by a uhaul representative, 3 day later informing me that the original location would not have the desired vehicle. I was directed to the above location for my rental. Upon arrival at the above location I was informed that they did not have a vehicle ready. I found out I was on a wait list. The local reps were helpful and after an hour delay I had a vehicle that would complete my project, although it was more difficult. For more information, while I was waiting at least 3 more customers were told the exact same thing. I also heard later in the weeken that 2 other friends were attempting to use Uhaul and has the same experience in another city. I will NEVER use uhaul again nor would I recommend to others. I also plan on giving this same review on GOOGLETimothy S.

This was not the location I was originally told to pick up the haul from. When I went to the first place there was no one there and no uhaul. I called uhaul and they basically told me sucks for you. Chris from scheduling was completely rude and told me there were no trucks in my area and there was a 90% chance I wouldn't get a uhaul. I had scheduled the uhaul 3 weeks before and NO ONE had even reached out to me that there was a truck shortage. I ended up moving 3 hours later than planned which really shifted my whole day for the worse. Uhaul gave no apologies, no explanations, nothing. I will NOT use Uhaul again nor will ever recommend it. My reservation for my truck was overbooked they said they didn't have my truck available Sunday morning when I came to pick it up then after much arguing they were able to find a truck for me. I had a horrible experience dealing with Uhaul because corporate overbooked the truck rentals.The people at the location tried their best and we're great but I blame corporate for overbooking the truck rentals!RAHMAN W.

I will NEVER use U-Haul ever again. I reserved a 15' truck and the employee told me that even though I reserved it that U-Haul always overbooks, and unfortunately, we drew the short stick that day. He told us we can have a 10' truck or nothing. Although he was apologetic, he used profanity while speaking, which is very unprofessional. What is the point of reserving a truck if there's a chance you won't get one?! Never again, U-Haul. You will never receive our business again and I'll make sure to never recommend this company to any of my friends who plan on moving. Bad business practices all-around.Kathryn H.

The app lead me to believe I could pick up after the place was closed and gave me options to pick up after that time but when I went to pick up it said I had to wait until the place opened the next day. The issue is not with the location. Manuel and his guys were very helpful. The uhaul.com reservation system is THE problem. It allows you to select and â€œreserveâ€ just about anything from any uhaul location. It will also prepackage a suite of moving supplies and offer to help secure movers. The problem is that nothing is actually â€œreservedâ€. I received an evening text that my reservation was being worked on and I would be contacted. I had to proactively make several calls to secure my â€œreservationâ€ a day late and at additional moving expense because of my delay.DAVID Z.
Have moving equipment (appliance dolly) available for those who have paid for it. The app also designates a vehicle, but the store did not abide by the app and seemed to just â€œwing itâ€ when I showed up saying that I purchased from the app and â€œI just saw someone get into my designated truck and drive offâ€.Jacob C.

When I arrive my truck that I reserved was not there, as the day progressed and I waited to see if someone else would return a truck multiple other people came in with reservations and their trucks were not there. I was charged for a gas even though I put gas in it and I was charged a cleaning fee which makes absolutely no sense because there was nothing in the truck the guy even told me it was clean before I left that's exactly why I wanted to check it in myself but they refused, Saying they needed to do it but I've done my returns twice before at the other location with no problems. I've rented three Uhual's within the last week this is the only one from this location and it was a terrible experience! I will not use it again and I would never recommend it to anyone!!!ERNEST A.
The pick up truck I needed had been taken out for lunch by some employees during my reservation time (12:30). I had one hour to pick up a large piece of furniture and I needed the open top of the flatbed in order to get the furniture into the truck. I was given a cargo van instead which made this task a lot more difficult as the furniture had to be laid down to load it in the van and the antique was actually broken in the process of trying to get it in the van. Hard to believe this was all necessary so the employees could run and get fast food during my reservation time with a company vehicle. Is it normal to take out reserved vehicles for personal errands? The guy working the front desk was very nice and helpful but it was obvious that the other employees had put him in a tough position by being irresponsible with reserved equipment.ELIZABETH G.

I made my reservation weeks ago, and got there to find out that they had no trucks available. In the end we were given a truck they found that apparently had no AC. Which was fine, I understand these things happen. What was awful was the clerk behind the desk who seemed to think this was hilarious and was making jokes the whole time. It was probably the most stressful day of my life and I finally just broke down into hysterical tears once I got back to my car. I was grateful that we were not charged more since we received a larger truck than we reserved, even though it had no AC. The guys at the counter were great!!! Two points of improvement: the driver side window seal is broken and it rained the entire trip so i was getting wet the whole trip. Secondly, there was an additional $40 Rental charge and no one expalined that. In my mind the best customer service would be waive the $40 fee as it was not expalained and I ws wet the entire drive. The trailer was checked prior to departure and it was noted that there was a lot of exterior damage. I have pictures. We took the trailer back to the house and started loading and found a rivet missing in the floor. We didn't notice it till we already loaded some boxes. The boxes got wet and needed to be repacked. Very unacceptable and even the man helping me hook up the trailer said the trailer was junk, but it was the only one he had and I couldn't wait for another one to become available. Very unhappy with U-Haul. To top it off the man at the drop off said he would email me the receipt and I still haven't receive it.ALBERT H.

A few days before my pickup scheduled day I received an email stating that my equipment was available. Upon arrival my equipment was available but was not funtional. I hope that my credit card reflects the reimbursement that I had to go inside and ask for. Call center person was very friendly. Local guy I talked to on phone that morning was rude. I called to say I would not be there by 12 as scheduled. He told me my reservation was for 3pm. My confirmation had a dolly but none available when I arrived. After hours return was difficult. My phone, and other customers phones would not allow "share my location:" I followed the uhaul rules but no luck. A random customer helped us. The unit was what I wanted. The curtesy staff at the desk were not at all friendly and actually quite rude. A staff member who worked outside the desk area was friendly and helpful which made up for the other at the desk. I have to ratings My pick up and my drop off My pick up was friendly, maybe not the ideal uhaul, but I would still go back My drop off in Lexington was the worse, after I stored my load, I drove back toward the office where I saw I guy sitting and I asked do I turn it in here,, now my car was still attached to dolly, and he said drop off is here you have to go all the way around the building to here, so I did, when I got out and he was still sitting down, took him 5 mins to get up and come over to me. He then said are you going to unload your car here, you could have did it there and pointed to where I asked him if this was the drop off, so now I'm getting upset, so I said, I asked you when I was there, we are all standing there, finally I said when are you going to take the car off the dolly or do you want me to move the truck again? He said that isn't my job it your job, no it isn't I didn't put it on I'm not taking it off, that's your job. So now he is loud and I'm loud, the other guy that was there said I'm getting the manager, so she comes and takes the side of her crew and said did you pay to have it taken off. You didn't even asked what happened the the rudeness of you employees. Again I didn't put the car on and I will not take it off! So she said she was calling the cops, ok call them they are going to make you take the car off the dolly, I then called customer service and complain and going to call the other number she gave me and complain to corporate. So while I'm on the cell with customer service they unhook the car half way and tell me to take it off their dolly and leave property. Now my biggest problem is about to happen. I get into the car and try to drive it off and your professional uhaul employees didn't unhook my car and my car was damaged by the dolly being still attached to my car. I will now have to go to a competitor and get a truck and a storage locker, because I do not want any of my money to go to that location or your business in Lexington, Ky.Amy Dawn J. | First Impressions

there needs to be a map of the facility on the outside. i didn't know where my unit was, because the inside units are labeled (the outside of the building didn't have any identifying marks) so i had to go back and ask for help re: which building??? only to come back AGAIN. because there was a lock on the unit. the rep advised me that locks are kept on the empty units. ok cool. but they already saw me, the same day, to purchase a unit. they saw me when i had to come back to ask where the unit was. and then a 3rd time to ask to unlock it. plus with the restrictions they stated that only ONE customer can be in the store at a time. i had to wait a very long time each time just to go in there to ask these questions. i did attempt to contact the 800 number. but the only thing they could do was tell me someone would call me back. which never happened.Tamar S. | Overall Experience
There was 1 customer at a time in the store. I completely understand this is the new norm. But, that meant 1 person would take on average 10 mins to be served. Once, I got my storage unit there was on outside map to figure out where to find my unit. For all units inside....there's no way to find it besides asking. So, I had to go back and wait in line & they told me it was attached to the building. Again the garage like door was closed. Why not open it when they knew I was going to be moving? Finally got the garage like door open. Ok, now there's a padlock on the unit. Had to go back and wait in line to have them remove the padlock.
