Me and my girlfriend rented a truck 10ft. As we thought we were all set we got in the vehicle only to find that the rear right tire was low on air. We attempted to put air into the tire and noticed the psi was only decreasing meaning there was a leak in the tire. We took it back up to uhaul before leaving they noticed as well there was a leak and offered us another vehicle of the same kind. They told us we were all set and because of the inconvenience we would not be charged. When we returned the vehicle the rate changed from 19.95 to 39.95 for whatever reason and they charged my girlfriends card before we even returned the vehicle. So we ended up paying an extra 20 dollars for whatever reason. Other then that they decent to us. I feel the rate should have stayed the same and I do not know why it was changed or charged more even but it is what it is..VICTORIA M.

It would be REALLY helpful if somewhere in LARGE BOLD LETTERS you made it clear that there is NO CREDIT AT ALL for returning the truck with MORE gas than it had when you got it. It's a beginners mistake, but I received a truck with 1/4 tank gas and mindlessly I filled the tank ($74.00). I returned the truck with 3/4 tank.ROBERT A.

We rented this the help an out a friend mow their lawn unfortunately the wheel fell off trailer we rented only minutes getting onto route 2. The trailer before we even left the uhaul parking lot was extremely loud. Never have rented one before thought this was normal because the mower wasn't on it yet. We loaded our mower got on the the highway and maybe 20 minutes later the right tire completely fell off. We couldn't get ahold of anyone at uhaul. The state police had the trailer towed off Highway the awesome tow truck man dropped our lawn mower back to our house that's how far we didn't go! You guys still charged my card for renting me an unsafe/ unusable trailer. Unacceptable.MEGHAN M.

The add on charges are outrageous. A $19.95 rental turned into over $75.00. We did take the insurance for $14., and we rented a dolly for $7.00 so I anticipated a charge around $41-45.00. We returned the truck with a full tank, so to have a $23.00 mileage charge was very unexpected. I will try very hard not to rent from uhaul again.WILLIAM H.

I'm not really sure what happened to U-Haul. U-Haul used to be such a great company, so easy to use and follow. In the past few months, while we've been moving, the decline has been great. We had rented a U-Haul a week ago and everything seemed fine. It wasn't until my husband arrived at the facility that they decided to inform him that the trailer we rented was totaled the day before and there was nothing else available. Seeing is it was too late in the day to order something else, we had to push our move to another week. I ordered the U-Haul and was told we would have to drive an extra 1.5 hours just to pick it up. I canceled the reservation and found something closer. Once again, the location of the U-Haul pick-up was moved twice. At least the drop-off was 10 minutes from our house and I paid quite a bit extra to have it that way. Contracts signed, everything picked up, but the girl at the counter said she had never heard of the drop-off location and it wasn't in their system. Despite the fact that I set it on the U-Haul website? We were told to call a number before closing hours to figure out drop-off. We're in the middle of the move and call the number, knowing we're not going to be dropping off for several more hours. No answer. Alright, fine. Let's just finish the move. Finally, at 9 PM, still 12 hours away from our drop-off time, we go to drop-off down the street. I open the app to start the process but suddenly the app is telling us that we have to drop-off AN HOUR AWAY. The contract says one thing, website says another. I paid EXTRA MONEY to drop-off at this location. We decide to follow the contract. There are at least 10 U-Haul vehicles at this facility when we get there; apparently there isn't a shortage, they're just all coming to this location that supposedly doesn't exist. I try calling the U-Haul customer service line to see what to do and there's an hour wait at 9 PM. This morning I was charged an extra $15 because I supposedly dropped off at the wrong location. I have never been so disappointed in a company. We will be doing everything we can to avoid U-Haul in the future and I suggest others do the same.Alyssa O.

I was very disturbed by the cleanliness of this truck - the dash and steering wheel needed to be wiped and the mats and cup holders were very dirty, not to mention the torn seats. Lastly, I noted and took photos of many scrapes, scratches and dents that had not been previously identified and needed to upload them to the app. Because I did not receive a check out link before I drove away, and because of the interior condition and all the bumps and bruises, I had to call the command center and request a link so that I could report all these findings before I could even use the truck. I have a corporate account and would appreciate it in the future if the truck rented to me was in better condition.Bonnie G.

Don't downsize a truck rental when we use moving company affiliated with uhaul. Downsizing my truck rental added mileage due to extra trips and extra time that I had to pay my Movers. The oil light on all the time and I notified your staff before leaving with the truck that it was on. They said don't worry but it, but it dinged at me the entire time! Wicked annoying!! I experienced issues with wiring to the trailer. It may be an issues with my vehicle and not the trailer itself, but it would have been nice to have checked the lights with a UHAUL rep prior to getting down the road.KYLE K.
I was greatly disappointed with the over-arching U-Haul Corporation's performance during the past THREE years. There were MAJOR issues with the availability of reserved equipment and the availability of support such as management personnel and computer systems. These were systemic problems that occurred at 3 different rental locations. Here are a few straightforward recommendations that U-Haul could easily and quickly implement to greatly improve customer satisfaction. 1. The U-Haul CORPORATION should establish a â€œreserveâ€ capacity to account for the inevitable cases where trucks/trailers/equipment are unavailable due to such things as breakdowns and when customers do not return rentals in accordance with their original rental agreement (e.g., they don't return it on the date they are supposed to). I was directly affected by such issues on 3 occasions during the past 3 years, where either a.) the right reserved equipment (e.g., 15-ft truck) was not available so a small truck was substituted at the last minute or no vehicle was offered at all until I refused to leave the service counter until some sort of vehicle from the lot was provided, or b.) the reserved equipment was not located at the site when I arrived, so I was forced to drive to another distant rental facility to find something suitable for use. 2. U-Haul employees/managers empowered with appropriate authority should be available real-time to adjust contracts, issue refunds/credits, provide customer service, etc. when things don't go as expected. I was directly affected by such issues twice during the past year. 3. Follow through on problem-resolution commitments. After the third event, I was promised a $50 refund because I had to make multiple trips with a small truck (and obviously, therefore, pay for TWICE the number of miles). However, that refund didn't happen. While I understand that un-planned problems will arise (including the approx. 1-hr computer system outage on Aug 31, 2020), I believe the U-Haul Corporation could and should implement contingency plans for handling the recurring rental equipment availability problems that I have listed above. I COMMEND some of your front-line, customer-facing employees who have to deal with customers who reserved equipment (2 1/2 months in advance in my case) and are then greatly inconvenienced at the last minute when reserved equipment is not available per the contract. In fact, it is for U-Haul's everyday employees and future customers that I submit this feedback.Joe Z.

I made a 12 hour reservation for a truck - when I arrived at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Leominster 207 Central St I was told the truck would need to be returned at 1:00PM versus 8PM. Completely unacceptable. The excuse given - was that "corporate" changed it. When I called the 800 number I was told it was the location who changed it. I had to rush my move and was not able to complete some of the move I had planned. When you take a reservation and then renege on the promised terms it proves that you are unreliable. I will never use U-Haul Moving & Storage of Leominster 207 Central St - worst service and attitude of any U-Haul locations I have used. U-Haul is unreliable U-Haul does not care about agreements they make U-Haul does not offer reasonable customer service U-Haul has poor customer service by phone U-Haul in not trustworthy U-Haul is unapologeticTHOMAS S.

The dolly I rented was not present in the truck, and we were rushed out before we could catch that, so I burned money there. Also, the app wasn't working for me or anyone else at that location, and the employee wasn't familiar with how it worked at all. i asked for the new car trailer and was told that i could not have it because it wasn't "checked in yet" i was towing a vehicle to Florida from Mass and thought the older trailer was not ok but took it anyway because i had to drive an hour to get one. The tire on the trailer blew in North Carolina and i decided to drop it off and drive the vehicle the rest of the way. i had to pay extra to drop it off and didn't argue because i was furious already and the gentleman at the North Carolina place was so very nice and helpful. i would strongly suggest that in the future, the customer should be listened to. i will never rent from Uhaul again!TAMMY J.

If moving wasn't stressful enough, after returning the truck to this location it was not marked as such and therefore I was forced to deal with contacting uhaul on the next day in order to ensure I wasnt charged or that the truck wasn't marked as stolen. Dear Uhaul, (1) I rent pick up trucks and trailers 3 or more times a month, but honestly is never trucks available. (2) last truck I got from Leominster ma was all dented abs bit up. (3) I leave in Worcester ma and had to go to Leominster 40 minutes last time to get a truck because was not one available in my town!! (4) and this is the worst!! I'm a business owner and every time I need to rent from you I have to wait 30-40 minutes on the phone before someone answers. That's unbelievable!! Clean your equipment better. And inspect the vehicles the next day as well. Or do something about cockroaches. I seen three in the driver and Passenger sits crawling around. I sprayed Lysol spray because that what I had handy due to covid. I sprayed them and killed them. But all the furnitures I went to pick up have roaches. I'm upset because seeing the roaches before I even got to the place to pick up my furniture. I was worried and my worst nightmare came true! Having roaches in my house because my new furniture got the roaches from a vehicle I dearly trusted. I have never had an issue with uhual. But august 14 2021 is the last time I will be renting from you guys. Please make sure you guys inspect the vehicles and drape everything. The reason I'm giving average rating is because when arriving to the storage unit we were told that the lock hinges would be adjusted because they were loose & didn't align, which made it hard to close the lock. The guy that supposedly "fixed" it only had to put a bigger washer in the back of the door because the door is worn out were the screw is. But no.... he decided to force the screw tight. Only to realize it wasn't aligned & then grabbed a drill and just made the lock hole bigger, instead of doing the job properly. You tell me that isn't some ghetto carpentry 臘♀️. I know for a fact that it's going to get loose again. If he would've fixed it properly he wouldn't have to come back again when it loosens up again. The lazy work harder & double. I sure hope they don't try to charge me for something that was already messed up.. mind you that I said yes to the unit ONLY because he said it was going to get fixed for proper use. I'm not the happiest camper but I'm happy with the storage space & the facility is very clean. Just that 1 little detail would've given U-haul a 5 star rating but I have to be realistic, so there you have it.Beverly V. | First Impressions
