We were charged a lot more than quoted for a truck we were supposed to have for 4 hours but WAS NOT ready when we arrived so we had to wait for it to be cleaned and for them to find a utility dolly. "Skip the line" is only applicable if there's more than one associate working the desk so after waiting for a customer's walk in rental, I then had to wait for the truck to be cleaned. Now, it's a few minutes late returning, we're panicking, it's raining and we didn't get a chance to put the 1/8 tank of gas we used back into the truck, thereby being charged. We went about 20 miles total as we were only moving 2 miles away. Our $79 rental magically became $150 upon return which is not what I'd consider ok by any stretch. I was basically paying uhaul because I waited on uhaul.Tuesday M.

I am a 70 years, old female, here to pick up a truck had to chase him down, to rent the truck then asked him to put the car on the dolly cause I don't know anything about it and it's another charge and he wasn't even interested. He was too busy working on cars. I will never use this place again. I will drive out of town to get a U-Haul. On the website with the insurance and everything it said complementary that someone would put the car on the dolly but he didn't want anything to do with that. Very poor customer service.Susan C.

Rude , took way too long for help with multiple reservations made took hours and hours out of my work week to figure out this part of our move there are three parts because of severe weather and hurricane problems!!! I don't appreciate being talk to in a rude manner or having my partner get upset who suffers from a medical disability completely unacceptable from staff that was not helpful at facility and customer service playing the let's transfer the person until he just doesn't care anymore and gives up on trying to get what he needs from your company !!! Ordered a 20 ft truck and auto transport, two weeks ahead. When I was to pick it up, it was at a different location and, was a 26ft truck and auto transport was not on the contract. Not a big deal for a local rental but, I was making a 1500 mile trip.gas milage could have been a little better. Then I turned it in a day early and was charged for extra 111 miles. Be clear on what the cost is to rent your equipment and do not attempt to insult or belittle people at the counter with outrageous deposits that may be â€œimplemented at the manager's discretionâ€ under the guise of â€œI may steal your equipment.â€ Racially profiling customers is illegal and ultimately frowned upon in today's society. You'd think U-Haul would understand this by 2022. If you want to charge me extra for being black then I will be happy to report this organization to the BBB and Department of Consumer Affairs. Overall, my experience with the Pod rental was very good! Except, when it was time to get my Pod delivered from Lakeland Florida to my home in Parrish Florida. I was told it was going to cost me approx. 600-700 dollars, to go 65 miles. It cost me $1400.00 to go 2000 miles from Colorado to Florida. They did bring it down to $450.00, but I still felt like that was high to go that short of a distance, so I was quite disappointed with that! Otherwise, everything worked out perfectly!!!! Communication was good, and the Lady dropping off and picking up my box at my house in Parrish was wonderful!!!Brad P.

the location is very good and they serve the customer relatively quickly, but the lack of communication between employees is horrible. I had a situation in which I had to extend the days in which I kept the truck and however they called me to tell me that I had to deliver it, they called and explained the situation and however they did not communicate with each other. If one employee call and they know the situation they should put it in the computer so the other employee know that truck is still not availableCheryl S.
Not only did the online self check in not work. Neither did the online platform they make you use to look over your truck and document discrepancies. So after all of that 25 minutes of the time allotted was wasted. The truck was given on 1/4 of a tank so you have to immediately get gas if you want to use it to travel. Why not just start on full and end on full? I had to stop twice to fill it up to ensure I didn't over fill or under fill the tank upon return. The air conditioning kept going in and out on the drive. 1000% will use Penske next time. They have a better check in, trucks with back up cameras, full tanks of gas, and things like cruise control which is nice when you are traveling.Jamie C.

I have rented from the store since the day they opened and I've never had a problem people that checked me in and got me the truck and trailer Were great my issue was when I return the truck the gentleman then checked in was horrible he was rude rude and socially unacceptable he killed me of doing damage to the truck that wasn't done and they had put tape over he start peeling the tape off and accuse me of doing it which I have pictures to prove I did not I stopped with the truck in the trailer and got gas and because it wasn't SzakÃ¡ly on the three-quarter line he wanted to charge me extra I am a 66 year old widow and I have an issue with my shoulder it's requiring surgery he didn't help me get the car seat out or anything take it to my car he was just he's uselessLINDA B.

Only problem I encountered was when I was trying to rent a truck from several locations here in Florida as well as in California every time you reserve a truck you most likely will get something other than what you reserved or you would have to go to another location or are they just plain didn't have it which in turn result into me having to rent a larger truck for more money. I suggest you double check the trucks before allowing a reservation to be made or if a customer has to get something larger/more costly, then compensate them in price or mileage.Shawnae S. | Overall Experience

It is a large facility and has only 1elevator which was broken down frequently. We are in our 70s and the last day when we were ready to move out we had to carry our belongings by hand down 3 flights of stairs. It was absolutely horrible. 96 degrees in the stairway. The staff went over and Beyond trying to accommodate my parents and I. My parents are senior citizens they have a storage on the second floor they were unable to put their boxes and other items because, the elevator was out of order and our rental truck was loaded. There were no storages big enough in the first floor to accommodate their items. Alissa and the other young lady we're compassionate about their situation and try to accommodate them as much as possible. They were able to extend the rental truck. Employees were friendly and helpful.The only complaint I have is that I have 2 storage units on the second floor. They have an elevator to access up to the second floor but currently it's not in service because of waiting for parts. I had a 20" truck full of boxes and some furniture. I felt that it was very inconvenient to off load the truck and have to walk my items up the two flights of stairs.I was hoping they would offer some kind of incentive for the inconvenience like maybe give me a discount off my first month.It actually took 2 more hours longer than estimated to finish unloading the truck.I hope that they can have a better system planned out in case this problem happens again and prevent the inconvenience.JOHN L S. | First Impressions
The ONLY issue is that there is only the ONE ele vator to serve the entire climate controlled 3 floor building. It was out of order at least twice that I know of in the 3 months I had large, heavy furniture there. The day after I had professional movers there I went back to close my unit/lease to find the elevator out of order again. Had that happened the day before there would have been a major problem with my move, it would have been unsafe for the movers and would have added several hours to the cost of my move, that's IF they would have attempted to move my furniture. This was my 1st experience at a storage facility. I apparently went on a very busy day, but the wait was well worth it. The staff took the time to personally walk me through the entire process and also showing me to my unit on the 2nd floor and making sure I was comfortable with signing in and out, using the lock etc. She was fairly new staff and she did a great job!
