I added all of my information online when making my reservation and had to give all info again at the U-HAUL desk. Also there is a curb at the U-Haul Corporate facility entrance that sticks out too far causing returning vehicles to run over it. Other than these issues everything else was awesome. I made an online reservation for pickup at 2 pm. There were only two people ahead of me, but it took a full 40 minutes to get the truck. I can't imagine how long people have to wait when you are busy! The software u-haul uses is terrible and I suspect that is why check out takes so long, and maybe the location can't do anything about it. But something has to change. Did you know the U-haul app has a 1.9 rating out of 5 with over 7,000 votes. U0haul is a big company, there is no excuse for having such poor software.Michael K.

Allow customer do pre register for the truck. It wasn't easy doing all the pictures on my phone in a parking lot after arriving to pick up the truck.Sarah G.
The trailer rental was linked to my account, but wasn't me. I moved out of state fifteen years ago. They require a drivers license at pick up, yet still gave the trailer to the person whose ID didn't match mine. I called corporate and the site in Lakeland. All they could do was make a note that it was contracted to the wrong account. Apparently the person has an old phone number of mine, but corporate couldn't take that number off my account.izam S.

Needed a small 10' truck for a few hours to run to Tampa and pick up some furniture. Great experience. Booked online the night before, easy check out and the lady at the desk was very pleasant and worked quickly, less than 6 or 8 minutes in the door and I was sitting in my truck that they pulled up front for me. The gentleman that cleaned the truck at return was funny, talkative, and exactly the type of person you want to deal with. The gentleman who actually checked in the truck was great also, quick experience, took 5 minutes or less, I believe his name tag said he was the owner. Disappointed that first off there is No Military Discount, especially with this being Veterans Day. Additionally there were multiple problems with the pick up of the equipment with change of pick up location, a call saying trailer was not available, more calls to straighten that issue out and then we turned the trailer in 2 days earlier than due and no additional discount by drop off location and even after 35 minutes on hold no discount. Very disappointing that there was not better customer service. We are about to complete our move from Massachusetts to Florida and were considering using your "pod" service, but I can assure you we will take our business elsewhere.RICHARD W.

I did a walk-in and the staff that took care of me was wonderful. Had some problems with the app when returning the van but the same staff took care of my concerns and all was well. Will definitely recommend and use again when needed.Jerilyn D.

After U-Haul over book me at the location I chose this was the only available place which was 30 minutes away from where I was supposed to be so it was a real pain in the butt having to drive there everyday however the staff was very nice. Unfortunately their alarm went off every time I opened up my storage locker which was very annoying. It took almost an hour to get the truck, then had two separate drop off locations for the truck. Was forcibly made to reserve three days instead of the one I needed and still haven't received a refund for those days. The pickup delay costs me $100 with the movers that were already at my home waiting. When I arrived to Lakeland, the facility code was not working, I asked for a unit that reflected the need of the uhaul truck and was given a unit smaller than a dressing room. Had to keep truck another day because the manager's emergency phone line listed in the elevator was going to voicemail without an option to leave a voicemail and the Uhaul call center line was looping a message about being open before disconnecting (for all options!). The next morning I came in after speaking with a rep about changing to a larger unit. I checked in at the counter and was charged despite expressing that the unit was supposed to be free. I also lost money that was non refundable to have movers come the first day to help unpack the truck ($300) because the unit was too small. All in all, I wasted $400 on movers because the uhaul delays and mess ups PLUS the monies charged for the extra day I had the uhaul AND the being charged for the storage space that was supposed to be free.Tesia L. | Online Move In
very wide front doors, lots of carts, parking right in front of the entrance, even covered parking in case it's raining, motion activated lighting, alarm system, very clean. We were assigned a storage unit that was already occupied. We went back down to the office. Waited in line to ask for a different unit. Finally got one. Wen up and again we were assigned a unit already in use. Went down again to get another one va employee met us and looked for an open one. All this took an extra 1 1/2 hour and we had a big full truck to unload. By then getting late and disaster. The truck had leaked likely on day 1 of 6 on our way to Florida from Minnesota and our beautiful 55 inch Sony Bravia 2 yr old TV was soaked and ruined as well as our beautiful area rug we paid over $500 at Macy's was soaked and after 6 days mold started. Ruined. A very nice employee was found there and helped with all the soaked packing and checked the truck. We took lots of pictures of the truck and packing and TV and rug. HORRIBLE. . Our TV cost us over $2000. A claim has been filed as the leaky truck caused all the damages.Michael O. | First Impressions

We've never rented a storage unit before, so we had no idea how the process would work. We went inside the main lobby to ask for help and the girl at the counter was sweet and friendly, but didn't really understand the questions we asked and didn't give us 100% of the information. We had to kind of look around and figure things out ourselves, which was super easy to do, but a little confusing when it came to the access code process. I waited a long time for my reservation to be complete. Granted the ladies at the front desk were awesome but someone from another office canceled my reservation as I was trying to pay for it. Reason why the process took so long. My initial reservation was less in cost with the insurance and roadside service. When I was renting an additional storage unit I was getting just a little upset about the extra phone numbers needed for contact list. First my number was called to verify that I gave them a working number ( felt not trusted then) then I was asked for another number and that number was also called, then I was asked for another number and that number was also called. After being a customer for over a year with no payment issues I felt this could have been avoided. I expressed my feelings about this and I understand policy.
