I had to drive around the neighborhood to find a spot and the only one I could find was in a “2 hour limit†area. This is ridiculous. The truck, while clean, was an absolute pile of junk. Thankfully, I only needed to drive it less than 30 miles.
Tris J.My containers arrived 3 days late. Trying to get information from Uhaul about the location of them or an estimated arrival time was like pulling teeth. Waiting on hold for over an hour to talk to customer service was ridiculous.

Which is probably nbd to the kids working here living with mom and dad but this economy sucks, so maybe it's better service to give just enough of a rats ass at work to check the fuel levels more accurately? idk. Shel G.UHaul has the best customer service. Not like so many other places where they just want the sale and then leave you hanging. It was fairly easy to get in touch with someone when needed. UHaul coordinated every part of my move, called ahead, and was always very pleasant to deal with.

My first day yesterday I arrive after 5 to unload into my storage and it denied 3 other peoples cards as well. When we called, they said there was nothing they could do about it until the following day. What about the big inconvenience for people that rented trucks ? and then have to pay another day for the inconvenience? They seemed to not have cared because it's just more money for u-haul. To myself, that is not good customer serivce at all. Hope things get better

Stephen S.Rental agent switched the truck at the last moment and forgot to include the hand truck. Which caused me to go back and cause delay. When I tried to accept the truck rental via online, mileage on the truck was incorrect (this is how I found out I was given wrong truck), I had to call in to straightened this out, causing more delay. And gas on this truck was nearly empty. When I brought the gas gage (empty vs half tank as document given to me at the time of giving me the truck) rental agent just told me to take a photo and submit it online. Really rude unprofessional rental agent.

Deborah F.When I came to get my equipment, their servers were offline (which is no fault of the store employees), however it felt like they were not urgent in trying to assist me to pick up my truck that I had reserved online. Furthermore, because the server was offline, the workers accidentally charged me twice since they started to do the reservation manually but then the server came back on and they charged me again. We requested orginally to have a dolly with our order, but we told the representative we decided not to take it; but upon receiving our truck and receipt, we realized that we still had and were charged for the dolly. Finally, when returning the truck, we returned it with 1/4 of a tank left, initially we had 1/2. We were charged about $37 for the tank refueling when the contract clearing said the charge would be $7.25 per gallon to fill (we only had a 1/4 they needed to refuel) and if the tank was LESS than 1/4 of a tank there would be a $30 charge. The representative who handled my return however ignored my pointing this out to him, even when I showed him the wording on the physical contract given to me the day before. Overall, the truck was good and ran well, but the customer service at the end of the day was very sub par. Again, I know it's just a rental place but I won't be renting with UHaul again due to too many interruptions/deceiving contracts.

Scott S.We had a really bad experience. Our first reservation was moved from Newport Beach to Costa Mesa because they didn't have any cars. The gut in Costa Mesa didn't have a car either and he was very rude and disrespectful. Someone needs to di something about him before auhaul gets in trouble. I had paid I'm full for my reservations and I had to pay again in Lake Forest to get a Uhaul. Now I have to call and spend time to get my original money back.

Vincent L.Customer service was great!!! Packing people we not up to Uhaul standards in my opinion. Improper packing ended up with damaged furniture. Although I'd use the UBOX/Uhaul service again I would not use the movers I picked through the recommended “movers†add on. Staking heavy furniture on top of other items so that it may fall is beyond my comprehension. It's only common sense that heavy furniture be on the bottom and small/light items go on top. Excuse my rant, it was infuriating.

Great cargo truck side for moving a bed. Sorry to say photos procedure and database of drivers licenses might create hacking issue and privacy law liability down the road, though it is important to make sure drivers are properly licensed. Thanks for helpful logistical support.

I asked if I would get an email or text she said yes, well it's been over 20 hours and I received nothing. The customer needs to receive something in writing that they returned the equipment, and it wasn't damaged.

We wore coming back with one truck to get other staff out. We had two additional mover coming to my house to help unload. At 4pm truck and 3 mover and us came back to storage to pick up rest. They told me it will take hour and half to go and bring staff and left 4 mover to put the staff to getter. They came back at 8:30 pm and left my house at 10:00pm My husband called and said the key to one storage doesn't open and that was storage was full and ask me if I have any. It was disaster at my house looking for key and we didn't know what to do . I told them to come back since I don't want to pay hourly to mover and finally he went inside and they said nothing and after hour wait this guy said they changed the lock or key or something and keep looking for key and after hour he find key and we got our staff I am not satisfied and had to pay my mover a lot money Please call me asp 9498423941 You guyed need to pay for my extra cost No one contact me about change of key or any thing The office didn't know any thing and they had to keep looking to find key Vida

Left open all weekend!! The GM threatened to call the police on me, for using a uhaul screwdriver, because he would not help me close my unit. Beware Ladies! Had to go back to get a new key two days later, when I was due to move 3 hours away! Went back to unload after hours, and my entry card was not activated! Phillip has zero customer service and I'll be calling corporate over his bs and the total Lack of security to the building. I was still able to get in, without a key card, Phillip! Two alarms went off, and no patrol?!!

We got everything in except our couches and then found out our couches would not fit through the doorway. We asked for help and the first agent said, "what am I supposed to do about it?" We asked the 2nd agent to just give us a small unit to put our couches in so we didn't have to move everything and were told no. She wouldn't do anything except give us a new unit. No one would help us move our stuff, no apology, and no compensation. I never leave bad reviews but this was bad service. 3 extra hours of work for a fault that was not ours.
